Chapter 2212: Chapter 568: Kroos’s Interview
"Paul didn’t tell me you were coming over for dinner before, so I just prepared something with the ingredients at home." Adriana said as she placed the lasagna on the table.
She was very happy that Huang Kaiwen, Lily, and Barbara were visiting together.
Ever since her eldest son left home, the house had been much quieter.
"We’re leaving Italy tomorrow, so I thought I’d stop by. I really miss your tuna beef sauce."
Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.
"I can vouch that Kevin is telling the truth."
Paol Maldini raised his hand and said, "He was talking about it on the way to pick up Lily and Barbara."
"I’ll give you a recipe sometime; the secret lies in the choice of white wine, and it’s not always the more expensive, the better."
Adriana placed the toasted bread in front of Huang Kaiwen and said, "The lasagna is leftover, there’s too much cheese in it. If you’re worried about your health, you might want to stick to the bread."
Huang Kaiwen took a piece of bread to his mouth, caught the crumbs with his right hand, chewed a few times, and gave a thumbs up, saying, "The garlic was treated separately, and the vegetables are very fresh."
"Kevin!"
Paol Maldini said helplessly, "Every time you come over for dinner, Adriana starts thinking about opening a restaurant."
"It really is delicious."
Lily said with her eyes closed after taking a sip of seafood soup.
She was enjoying the taste of oysters.
The young lady chimed in, "I didn’t expect Paul to be eating so well at home every day. The next time the TV station has a food program, they should invite you to participate."
"Really? I’d love to go!"
Adriana said excitedly.
She wasn’t that interested in fame, but she was very happy to share her culinary skills with the whole of Italy.
Huang Kaiwen helped wipe the young gentleman’s mouth and said, "Little guy, if you don’t want to get ugly, eat less of the Tuscan cream chicken; it’s too sugary."
5-year-old Kevin Maldini smiled foolishly at Huang Kaiwen.
He always had a good feeling about this uncle who shared his name.
"See, Kevin finally said something truthful."
Paol Maldini pointed at Huang Kaiwen with his fork.
"It’s true, I’ve always felt this dish is more like French cuisine; Italian dishes are full of tomatoes and olive oil, while the French love using cream and butter."
Huang Kaiwen complained, "It’s fine outside, but at home, I don’t want to fuss with the slow plating like the French."
"Perhaps because they are slow, they always lag in wars."
Paol Maldini said jokingly.
Huang Kaiwen silently rolled his eyes, Italian remarks like that always amused him.
Seeing Huang Kaiwen not joining in on mocking the French, Paol Maldini asked, "Are you planning to persuade Agnelli to package and sell the Serie A broadcasting rights?"
"Yes, it would be beneficial for Serie A and for Milan."
Huang Kaiwen explained, "Short-term losses can make other Serie A teams more competitive, and a competitive league attracts more fans. The subsequent increase in sponsorship fees and broadcast shares will make up for our short-term losses."
"Sounds good, Agnelli will agree."
Paol Maldini said.
Huang Kaiwen wiped his mouth with a napkin and said, "I’m worried Moggi will oppose it, Agnelli still discusses things with him. Moggi prefers the dominance of big clubs, he wouldn’t want Regina or Verona giving Juventus trouble."
"That indeed is a problem."
Paol Maldini nodded and said.
"Kevin Uncle, can you play with me?"
Kevin Maldini looked up and asked with blinking eyes.
Daniel, who hadn’t spoken, scolded, "Kevin Uncle is discussing important team matters, he doesn’t have time to play with you now."
"Thank you, Danny, but I’ve finished talking with your father."
Huang Kaiwen said with a smile, patting the young gentleman’s head as he cried and asked, "What do you want to play, little guy?"
"Can we play hide-and-seek?"
The young gentleman said.
"Alright, Kevin Uncle will go easy on you, Kevin Uncle will be ’it’ first."
Then Huang Kaiwen buried his head on the table and started counting.
Everyone at the table, except Danny, was watching with great interest.
"How many minutes do you think it’ll take for Kevin to find him?"
Pau Paul asked eagerly.
"If he doesn’t hold back, Kevin could find the kid in an instant."
Lily said with a laugh, "His ears are very sharp; he says he trained them by listening for his parents coming upstairs while secretly playing video games at home."
Even Danny joined in on the laughter this time.
"Lily!"
The young lady glared at her, saying.
How could she talk about Huang Kaiwen’s blunders outside.
Huang Kaiwen waved it off casually, saying, "I loved playing games as a kid. If the gaming industry hadn’t developed so slowly, I might have ended up being a professional player like Chris."
He wasn’t lying at all.
Back then, seeing SKY win championships in magazines got his blood boiling.
That was when Huang Kaiwen, who couldn’t play WAR3 at all, began practicing hard.
Back then, the internet wasn’t as developed, and player treatment wasn’t good. He truly lacked the courage to spend time seeking training opportunities.
Even if he succeeded in trials, he would just end up playing games in an internet cafe; the effort didn’t match the reward at all.
The ten numbers were long counted.
Huang Kaiwen then got up to search for the young gentleman on the first floor, pretending to look around.
Lily was not wrong at all.
Children in panic love to run, and Huang Kaiwen clearly heard his approximate position as he ran upstairs.
After getting to the second floor, Huang Kaiwen deliberately went to the young master’s room, pushed the door open, and said to himself, "He should be hiding in here."
