Bai Zhi shook her head. "No, that’s not necessary. It wouldn’t make sense to purify them but make you wait just because you’re my Beast Husbands. Besides, the longer this black mist stays in the body, the more damage it does."

Hu Yan and the others had been closest to the black mist. Even with the Insect Clan acting as a shield, a lot of it had still seeped into them. The longer they waited, the worse it would be.

With that, Bai Zhi quickly purified them.

A few minutes later, after she finished, Bai Zhi drank another bottle of medicine and felt as if she had been brought back to life.

Yan Yichen stared at Bai Zhi with concern.

Hu Yan asked, "Feeling any better?"

Bai Zhi nodded.

Seeing that she was alright, he said, "Let’s leave this place first, then."

Bai Zhi looked into the nest. "The Insect Clan..."

Hu Yan explained, "They’re no longer a threat. The remaining people will clean them up."

He stopped a short distance in front of Bai Zhi, first saluting Hu Yan and the others, then giving Bai Zhi a ninety-degree bow. "I was bad-mouthing you to someone earlier. Your method was very effective, and you saved us. I apologize for my previous behavior. Thank you for saving my life. My name is Chi, and I currently serve in the Third Army.
