After Marrying 5 Yandere Wives, I Obtained a 10,000x Return System

Chapter 307: Marrec Crushes Nolan Without Using His Full Strength!

  • Next Chapter

Two of the Sear spheres behind Marrec suddenly acted.

Fwoosh!

They released a short but powerful burst of Infernal Flame toward the upper-left side.

And the thrust pushed him sideways and upward.

His body shifted just enough.

Nolan’s sword missed.

BOOM!

The greatsword crashed into the arena floor.

The impact erupted into an explosion, sending debris outward and carving a crater roughly ten meters deep into the reinforced battlefield.

Nolan’s arms trembled from the force of the impact.

Then he realized something.

Marrec was already standing a short distance away, completely unharmed.

The five Sear spheres that remained active behind him were glowing intensely.

’Shit!’

Nolan immediately tried to move.

"Sear Barrage."

But, Five concentrated beams of Infernal Flame shot from the remaining Sear spheres.

They were much denser than the earlier attacks.

One aimed toward his chest.

Another toward his head.

The others targeted his stomach and legs.

Nolan’s instincts screamed.

’Damn it!’

He raised his greatsword in front of himself, trying to protect his head and heart while twisting his body to minimize the remaining impact.

The beams reached him.

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

Five explosions erupted almost simultaneously.

The shockwaves rolled across the area.

At the same time, Marrec used Sear Drift again, causing the other Sear spheres to push his body backward and safely out of the attack’s range.

He landed lightly.

The dust created by Nolan’s impact slowly began to settle.

Then a faint sound came from below.

"Ugh..."

Nolan’s pained grunt echoed from inside the crater.

The battlefield beneath him had been blown apart.

He had been thrown nearly one hundred meters from the original impact point, and both of his legs were gone from the knees down.

Even the silver greatsword he had been using was badly charred, its surface blackened from the intense heat.

This wasn’t some ordinary weapon either.

It was a proper B-rank sword.

The fact that it had been damaged so severely showed just how concentrated Marrec’s Infernal Flame attacks were.

Kira’s hands immediately rose to her mouth.

"He’s alive..."

Relief mixed with worry in her voice.

She forced herself to keep her voice down, afraid that shouting too loudly might distract Nolan or disturb the battle.

Zeyr’s expression remained serious.

"He should surrender."

Nolan had already managed to force Marrec to use two different abilities, and there was little value in risking his life to learn what else the man had prepared.

Down in the crater, Nolan’s body trembled from the pain.

He took a rough breath.

"I surrender!"

The instant those words left his mouth, Marrec stopped.

The flames behind him gradually settled.

However, the smug look on his face remained.

"As expected."

His gaze moved toward the spectator seats.

"All of you are called special."

He chuckled.

"But in the end, you’re nothing more than people with Origin Skills who believe yourselves superior to those without them."

Marrec didn’t mention one important detail.

Although he was only a Mid-B-rank and Nolan was an Early B-rank, he had never fought Nolan at full strength.

In fact, he had restrained roughly eighty percent of his power.

And the result had still been this one-sided.

"Weakling."

Marrec spat onto the ground before turning back toward the center of the arena.

He simply stood there and waited for the next opponent.

’Bastard.’

Nolan clenched his fist inside the crater, glaring at Marrec with hatred.

But he didn’t answer.

The next moment, Peiro teleported him back to the spectator seats.

"Nolan!"

Kira immediately rushed toward him and hugged his injured body.

"Ahh!"

A sharp cry escaped Nolan because of the sudden pressure against his injuries.

Kira quickly loosened her grip.

But she didn’t care about embarrassing him.

She was simply relieved that he was alive and hadn’t been foolish enough to continue fighting after suffering such severe injuries.

Zeyr also walked over.

"How’s your condition? Do you need special potions, or will normal healing potions be enough?"

Nolan took a breath.

"Ugh... I’m fine. Just normal potions should do."

He tried to smile as he said it.

But with both legs missing and a large charred hole still visible across his stomach, the attempt did little to hide how badly he had been injured.

Zeyr shook his head.

"Even if you’re B-rank, you’re not a dragon. Here, take this."

He handed Nolan a potion without paying attention to his attempt to save face in front of Kira.

"Yeah."

Kira accepted it and carefully helped Nolan drink.

The effect was immediate.

A warm surge of energy spread through his body.

Flesh began regenerating.

His legs slowly reformed, bone appearing first before muscle and skin followed.

The charred section of his stomach closed as fresh flesh replaced the damaged area, while the burns covering his hands and body faded away.

Several Sunborn warriors stared in disbelief.

"That’s a High-grade B-rank potion."

The words escaped from one of them.

Potions of that level were expensive even within the Sunborn Kingdom, and they were rarely used casually because high-rank alchemists were difficult to find.

As a result, the supply never matched the demand.

For this mission, the kingdom had only brought a limited number of Low- to Mid-grade B-rank potions.

Otherwise, they would have been forced to rely on C-rank potions or their natural recovery abilities.

"Thanks."

Nolan looked toward Zeyr.

Zeyr merely shrugged.

Arwen, sitting nearby, gave a faint sneer.

"Humans always remain weak."

Zeyr didn’t respond.

He simply turned around and returned to his seat.

Nolan and Kira ignored the remark as well.

They knew where they stood within this group.

Among the present combatants, they were among the weakest.

Even Marius, despite being a vampire who had not shown much interest in fighting, was stronger than them.

Zeyr had already sent out many of the human combatants earlier because the Sunborn Kingdom’s human representatives had gradually filled the initial battles.

Still, Kira couldn’t help silently cursing the others.

’Those bastards.’

She thought about Arwen, Larael, and Marius.

All three had enough strength and energy to at least push Marrec further than Nolan had.

They could have fought him.

They might not have been able to defeat him, but they could have forced him to reveal more of his abilities.

Kira had even heard that Arwen’s Sun Spirit had once used a special technique called *SOLAR SPEAR OF EXTINCTION* and injured a Mid-B-rank.

Yet none of them had stepped forward.

She didn’t say any of it aloud.

Nolan noticed the expression on her face.

"Kira, are you okay?" He gently patted her head.

Kira nodded. "Hmm."

Meanwhile, Luke watched everything calmly.

He had no intention of stepping forward for Nolan and Kira.

He didn’t know them well enough, and as far as the human race was concerned, Luke had never viewed himself as some kind of saint.

His own people and the people close to him mattered.

Their race was secondary.

Besides, he wasn’t even human anymore.

He was a Titan.

So if Arwen said something even to him, then he would also chose to stay quiet and let him bark, since nothing could be done in this place.

"Kira, be careful."

Nolan’s expression became serious.

He had already experienced firsthand what happened when someone underestimated Marrec or another high-ranking member of the Infernal Choir.

Marrec was a powerful Mid-B-rank, and an Origin Skill user on top of that, which placed him close to the lower level of King-tier Royal Talents in overall threat.

"I will." Kira nodded.

Then she jumped down into the arena.
