After Marrying 5 Yandere Wives, I Obtained a 10,000x Return System

Chapter 298: Luke Finally Use Fourth Titan Ability!

There wasn’t even a trace of blood on the blade.

Yet Ivar knew exactly what had happened.

That figure had just beheaded him.

’I am dead.’

The realization came with a strange clarity.

Even while his life was disappearing, his pupils dilated as his mind tried to understand how it had happened.

He hadn’t sensed the giant’s arrival.

He hadn’t seen it move.

One moment, nothing had been behind him.

The next, his B-rank body had already been separated from his head.

Of course, Ivar knew that he had already weakened himself by consuming his life force, leaving him in his weakest state.

But even so, that shouldn’t have been enough to explain what had just happened.

How had Luke’s clone appeared without warning?

How had it crossed the distance?

And how had it cut through his B-rank body so easily?

Before those questions could linger any longer, Ivar noticed the giant raising one hand toward the dead star still hovering above his palm.

The giant’s lips moved.

Ivar couldn’t hear the words clearly. But it whispered.

’2nd Seal: Seal of Silence.’

Next instant, a thin white-gold silk thread emerged from the giant’s fingers.

It was so fine that it was almost difficult to see, but it moved with incredible precision as it wrapped around the dead star.

One loop followed another.

In an instant, the white-gold thread had completely covered the one-meter-wide dead star, sealing the object from every direction.

And suprisingly, the dead star, didn’t struggle against the sealing power or attempt to escape.

Instead, it remained completely still, almost as though it were willingly allowing the seal to take effect.

Then—

Whoosh!

The dead star disappeared.

At the same time, the white-gold silk shrank down until it became nothing more than a small thread between the giant’s fingers.

The final light in Ivar’s eyes finally dimmed.

Along with his vision darkened.

And with that, the prince of the Demi-Owl Kingdom died.

Meanwhile, Marrec was still trying to process Luke’s earlier arrogance.

’Why is this hero acting so cocky even though he knows that he, his wife, his friend, and everyone else here are going to di—’

However, next moment, his thought suddenly stopped.

His mid-B-rank senses caught movement from the corner of his eye.

A figure had materialized behind the smiling Ivar.

It seemed to have emerged from the darkness.

Or perhaps from the void itself.

’Space teleportation?’

Marrec immediately remembered the rumors surrounding Luke’s clone and his spatial abilities.

So, his thoughts connected the pieces almost instantly.

Then his attention fell upon the black blade rising behind Ivar.

The second Luke was about to strike.

’Not on my watch.’

Marrec’s body tensed as he prepared to launch himself toward the second Luke and knock him away.

To an ordinary person, the scene was happening too quickly to perceive.

For Marrec, however, it was different.

As a mid-B-rank, his reaction speed was already far beyond that of an ordinary person, and it was roughly five times greater than that of an average B-rank.

Because of that, the movement seemed comparatively slow from his perspective.

Outside, however, only a few fractions of a second had passed.

The second Luke had barely raised his sword.

Marrec was already preparing to move.

But before he could even take a step, something happened that was faster than his reaction.

The forty-foot-tall Luke, currently in his VOIDHEART TITAN form, used his ability as well.

’Third Seal: Seal of Restraint.’

As the ability activated, fifty percent of Luke’s energy was consumed.

Before Marrec could react, four black-golden shackles appeared around his wrists and ankles.

"What—"

He didn’t even have time to finish the word.

When, black-golden chains erupted from each shackle and shot toward the ground.

Yet the moment they reached the surface, something strange happened.

The chains passed straight through it.

There was no crack.

No hole.

Not even the slightest mark.

Marrec’s expression changed.

Those chains weren’t simply attaching themselves to the ground.

They were binding the space occupied by the ground itself.

Whatever the exact principle behind the ability was, the result was obvious.

Marrec immediately exerted his strength and tried to pull himself free.

His muscles tightened.

The surrounding air seemed to tremble slightly from the force.

Yet his body didn’t move.

The shackles remained firmly in place, and the more force he applied, the tighter the chains became around his limbs.

That brief restraint was enough.

Right in front of Marrec’s eyes, Ivar’s head separated completely from his body.

The ten Platinum Knights weren’t fast enough to interfere either.

They were even slower than Marrec, and by the time they could properly react, Ivar had already been killed.

The second Luke calmly sealed away the dead star as well.

For a brief moment, silence filled the dark passage.

The bodies remained where they were, while the last traces of movement seemed to disappear from the surroundings.

Then Marrec’s anger exploded.

"HOW DARE YOU!"

His eyes turned bloodshot as his mid-B-rank aura erupted from his body.

BOOM!

The pressure burst outward.

The ten nearby Platinum Knights were caught directly in it and blasted backward, their bodies slamming into the dark walls surrounding the pathway.

Bam!

Bam!

Bam!

Bam!

One after another, their bodies collided with the walls.

The shockwave was considerably stronger than Luke had expected.

He immediately realized that his one-kilometer Void Horizon layer wouldn’t be enough to completely absorb the force unless he expanded the stretched distance by supplying additional energy.

But there was no time.

The shockwave was already approaching him.

Luke immediately created a cosmic system inside and even pulled the red star outside into his body.

Then, using the cosmic system together with his Void Horizon, he braced himself and took the incoming force.

Head-on.

BANG!

The shockwave slammed into his body with the force of a gigantic cannon round.

’Damn.’

Luke cursed inwardly.

He had concentrated his cosmic system around his chest, which meant that he hadn’t supplied enough strength to his legs to keep himself firmly anchored.

Which results, the force pushed him backward slightly, then it increase and when it finally reached peak...

BAM!

His body blasted backward, before getting crashed into the dark wall behind him.

"Sir Luke!"

Isaria’s worried voice immediately reached him.

Fortunately, she had been standing farther away, and Kiki had already shielded her with his coffin-like body.

A few remnant shockwaves reached them afterward, but they had already lost most of their strength by then, leaving Isaria unharmed.

"Ugh, this sucks." Luke’s annoyed voice came from the wall.

A moment later, he pushed himself away from it and stood upright.

Apart from some dust clinging to his clothes, he looked fine.

"Thank god."

Isaria released the breath she had been holding, her tense expression finally easing when she saw Luke stand up as though the collision had barely affected him.

Luke, meanwhile, glanced toward the red-eyed Marrec with an annoyed expression.

’Next time, I need to focus on my legs too.’

"HAH!"

Marrec suddenly shouted.

The next moment, both of his hands began changing.

Luke’s expression became strange.

’The hell...’

Marrec’s hands hadn’t simply caught fire.

The flesh itself had transformed, taking on a glowing magma-like appearance. They looked as though molten material had replaced his hands, yet they remained in their original shape without burning away.

Marrec clenched his fingers and pulled with tremendous force.

The black-golden shackles around his hands immediately strained.

Crack!

A fracture appeared across one of them.
