Description:

Sevaroth places a seal upon a target’s source of power, restricting how much of that power can be accessed.

The seal can target physical strength, mana, aether, an individual ability, a technique, or multiple sources at once. Against sufficiently powerful enemies, it can even interfere with an Authority.

The amount of power affected depends on the energy invested into the seal.

Key Trait:

The target retains the sealed power, but cannot draw upon the restricted portion until the seal is removed or expires.

"Interesting." Luke raised a brow and nodded.

After reading Sevaroth’s history, he had already expected the first ability to be related to sealing.

Still, actually seeing it appear before his eyes was an entirely different feeling.

And honestly—

It looked pretty cool.

More importantly, it filled a gap in Luke’s current arsenal.

When it came to crowd control, he didn’t really have anything particularly effective.

He could use the bindings created through his Cosmic Constructs ability, but those were hardly reliable against the opponents he usually faced.

After all, Luke was constantly fighting beings above his own rank.

Against such enemies, ordinary bindings couldn’t accomplish much.

A sealing ability, however...

That was something different.

"Let’s see the other one as well." With that, Luke shifted his attention to the second seal and checked its ability.

Description:

Sevaroth seals the means through which a target releases power.

The technique can interfere with spellcasting, incantations, voice-based abilities, activation commands, energy projection, and other abilities that require an external manifestation.

The seal can be placed on the hands, throat, or another point involved in the activation process.

Key Trait:

Abilities that remain fully intact inside the target can become impossible to express outwardly.

"Another amazing ability." Luke couldn’t help but praise Sevaroth again after seeing this second seal.

This ability could prevent destruction before it even happened.

Especially against mages and other spellcasters.

If he sealed their mouths, then they wouldn’t even be able to chant or speak their spells.

Without that, those supposedly powerful spellcasters would be reduced to little more than paper mages.

The more he looked at Sevaroth’s abilities, the more surprised Luke became.

"I’m surprisingly finding this Titan more and more interesting." His earlier doubts about Sevaroth had already begun to fade.

With his mood improving, Luke shifted his attention to the next seal.

The third Seal.

Description:

Sevaroth creates a binding seal that interferes with the target’s movement.

Once applied, it follows the target regardless of where they move. It can progressively restrict individual limbs before extending its influence across the entire body.

At greater strength, the seal can hinder the circulation of energy required for movement and temporarily immobilize powerful opponents.

Key Trait:

Escaping its original position does not break the seal. It remains attached to the designated target until its duration ends or the seal is destroyed.

"This should be first to appear, but it’s good it came." Luke nodded satisfied and already imagined many scenes where he would use all four seals to make the enemies powerless.

"So, let’s see the fourth and final seal which would unlock."

[4. SEAL OF CLOSURE]

Description:

Sevaroth can forcibly shut something that has been opened or is currently maintaining an active connection.

The seal can close dimensional rifts, magical portals, exposed energy channels, activated artifacts, wounds, and transformations that have not yet reached completion.

As Sevaroth’s power develops, the same principle can be applied to increasingly complex connections, including the link between a being and its source of power.

Key Trait:

The seal remains locked until its conditions are fulfilled, making it possible to keep a sealed phenomenon from reopening on its own.

"Awesome!" Luke exclaimed in amazement after reading the description of the final seal.

This one was far more absurd than the previous seals.

And then there was the ability to seal wounds.

That alone made genuine excitement flicker in Luke’s eyes.

Previously, he had no way to heal his own wounds, let alone someone else’s.

"If I had this ability earlier, I could have healed Theia’s external injuries myself." A hint of complaint slipped into his voice.

But Luke quickly shook his head and pushed those unnecessary thoughts away.

There was no point dwelling on something that had already happened.

At that moment, another System screen suddenly appeared before him.

[Did you like it?]

Luke paused.

The message immediately brought the question from earlier back into his mind.

"Why did you choose this?"

He narrowed his eyes slightly. "You know what I mean."

Luke waited for the System’s response.

It wasn’t that he disliked the new Titan.

Quite the opposite.

The truth was, he found Sevaroth’s abilities surprisingly useful and believed that the Crypt Titan would provide him with tremendous help.

Perhaps that was exactly why the System had chosen him.

After all, the System had often given him things when he genuinely needed them.

His previous Titans had also been part of his preparation for the inevitable moment when he would become a true Titan himself.

Even so, the question continued to bother him.

’Why Sevaroth?’ Luke remained lost in thought for a moment.

Then—

The System finally gave him an answer.

[Luke, you are wrong here.]

The System’s words immediately left Luke confused.

He frowned slightly, but didn’t interrupt.

[There is not a single thing in this world that is truly perfect.]

Luke’s expression became serious.

[And the System takes what already exists and makes it perfect.]

[Your Titans are one such example.]

[If both Nyx and you were to reach the peak of the Void Titan, then your Titan form would be perfect.]

[In terms of your natural characteristics alone, you would easily surpass Nyx.]

The System paused briefly before clarifying.

[I am not talking about skills.]

[Anyone has the opportunity to learn skills.]

[That is something entirely different.]

Luke remained silent, listening carefully.

[Think of it this way.]

[Somewhere in the universe, a being may possess a perfection rating of 9 out of 10.]

[Even the greatest creation made by the Universe itself might reach 9.9999... and continue with countless more nines.]

[But it will never reach 10/10.]

The System paused again.

Its next words carried a strange sense of finality.

[But everything the System gives you is a 10 out of 10 at its respective level.]

Luke’s eyes shifted slightly.

[The problem is that you cannot comprehend that perfection.]

[You are not a 10-rated existence yourself.]

[So how could you possibly make perfect use of something that was created at perfection?]

Silence.

Luke didn’t answer immediately.

The meaning behind those words slowly settled into his mind.

The flaw wasn’t in the Titans.

It was in him.

Luke finally released a quiet sigh.

Because, unfortunately—

The System was right.
