The Gold Element Superpower was completely suppressed.

Timothy Renner looked at the man. However, within mere seconds, dozens of stone balls of varying sizes had scattered around everyone.

"Renner, his Earth Element Superpower can explode!" a team member shouted from behind him.

How could the Earth Element Superpower explode?

Timothy felt a sense of dread. There were at least six of those stone balls surrounding him alone, and the other team members were in the same predicament. If they exploded with the same power as before, the team would certainly be blown to pieces!

"I’ll give you ten more seconds. If you don’t get out of the way, you idiots can all go meet your maker!" The man in black twisted his palm. The stone balls hovering in midair trembled, as if ready to detonate in the next second.

"If I actually get out of the way, where would I put my pride?" Timothy chuckled. "Kid, you aren’t a Drakonian, are you?"

He had caught onto it. The man spoke strangely—it wasn’t just his accent; it was highly likely he wasn’t a Drakonian at all.

"Finn, he’s stalling. The base’s reinforcements will be here any second. Do it now," another man urged.

Hearing this, the man in black waved his hand to activate his Superpower. "You truly are a terrible superior. You’ll regret the decision you made today in Umbrath."

"Whoever regrets it is a coward." Timothy and the crowd behind him had no intention of being sitting ducks. By now, various Superpower Shields had been conjured. However, the Superpowers were not protecting the people themselves, but the base’s gates behind them.

A dense cluster of stone balls had already gathered at the gates. Timothy and his men continued to layer their respective Superpower Shields. They all knew that given the explosive power of the stone balls they had just witnessed, their Superpowers wouldn’t be able to withstand the blast.

"Naive." With that said, the man in black triggered the ground around him to churn rapidly. A rippling layer of earth surged forward toward the gates.

"Rock Explosion, detonate!" He twisted his hand, his expression bordering on manic.

The others with him also wore looks of absolute certainty, as they knew the true power of this move called "Rock Explosion." It could even level entire villages and towns in an instant.

The standoff had only lasted a few minutes, but the anticipated explosion never came.

"Finn? Why aren’t you attacking?" a woman asked.

The man in black named Finn frowned, staring at his palm in confusion. He had indeed activated his Superpower, but the Rock Explosion hadn’t been triggered. Then, an even more astonishing scene unfolded before everyone’s eyes. The stone balls floating in midair and gathered at the gates began to gradually collapse and shatter, crumbling into gravel that rained down onto the ground!

"You think a mere Wind and Earth Dual Element user can breach the gates?" A voice that sounded familiar to Timothy rang out from the right.

He turned his head and saw that Nina Jacobs had appeared beside a vehicle at some point. Behind her stood the members of the Stellarys Team. Nina simply waved her hand, and the remaining stone balls in midair instantly crumbled into gravel and scattered across the ground. They had arrived moments ago, but she had just been waiting for these people to make their move.

"Attack!" Someone yelled, and the dozens of people behind the man in black instantly charged at Nina and her team!

Yet, the man in black made no move. He stared at Nina in sheer disbelief and asked, "Who are you? How were you able to break my technique?" A brawl had already broken out around them, but as if blind to it all, he kept his eyes locked firmly on Nina.

"Compressing the Wind Element Superpower inside Earth Element Stone Balls, then rapidly releasing the Superpower to cause an explosion—that isn’t hard to counter." Nina also remained completely still. Even though Stella lacked the numerical advantage right now, she wasn’t worried at all. Holden Shaw had already darted past her several times, his dual blades severing the limbs of multiple enemies. The Superpowers of Wayne Warner, Jessica Vance, and the others erupted nearby, accompanied by endless screams of agony. Timothy and his men wanted to provide support, but faced with the sudden chaos, they didn’t know where to strike.

"It’s impossible for you to break my technique on your own." As if to prove his point, the man in black activated his Superpower again. This time, multiple Rock Explosion Stone Balls appeared high in the air. At the same time, he leaped into the sky, the stone balls revolving continuously around him. Looking down at everyone beneath him, he let out an arrogant laugh. The stone balls instantly plummeted, smashing toward the crowd below!

"Finn, are you crazy?! We’ll all die at this rate!"

Ignoring the desperate shouts of his companions below, the man in black instantly triggered an Instant Detonation on dozens of stone balls.

"See? I told you there’s no way she could break my technique alone..." he said with a laugh from midair.

Billowing smoke and dust swallowed the ground below, only to be instantly cleared by someone’s Wind Element Superpower. A nearly transparent sand shield stood firm, absorbing the blasts from all the stone balls. His smile froze on his face. No one had ever been able to block his attacks!

At the same time, a giant golden bird appeared in the sky above the City D Base. The golden bird spread its two flaming wings, let out a long screech, and rammed toward the man in black!

"Flame Transformation... You’re Nina Jacobs?" The man in black dodged the Firebird’s attack. He conjured a massive Wind Wall in midair and cast it over the Firebird, but the Firebird didn’t flinch, crashing straight through the Wind Wall!

By now, all the base’s reinforcements had arrived. Everyone looked up. The Firebird’s fully formed wings spread out like a canopy blocking the sky, shooting volleys of feather arrows from beneath its plumage.

"I can’t lose! I’ll defeat you in the sky and on the ground!" the man in black yelled, infuriated. Two massive Wind Dragon Vortexes materialized simultaneously, one in the sky and one on the ground. Packed with Stone Spikes, the Wind Dragon Vortexes struck out at Nina and the Firebird at the same time!

"Who exactly is this guy? I’ve never seen him at the base before." Myra Lawson watched the man in black. She knew all the powerful Superpower users in the base, but she had never crossed paths with this man.

"Probably just some rat from nowhere. Now that Nina has dragged him out into the light, he’s just waiting to be captured," Adrian Shaw said. He had originally come to provide backup, but the members of Stella had already swiftly subdued all the attackers. Only the battle unfolding before them remained, and Nina hadn’t given them a chance to intervene.

"It looks like she..." Adrian Paige stared at her figure, a hint of confusion in his eyes.

Up in the sky, the Firebird had already been ensnared by the Wind Dragon Vortex. The man in black, however, focused all his attention on the ground.

"You reinforced the ground. Smart. But the sky is my territory too." He had planned to strike from below, only to find that Nina had already reinforced the earth. But it didn’t matter. Nina had no way of hitting him in midair, and his Wind Dragon Vortex could shred anything into pieces.

"Is that so? To me, it looks like your ’advantage’ doesn’t even exist," Nina replied.

"What did you say?" The man in black couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. When realization finally hit him, he whipped his head around, only to see that his Wind Dragon Vortex in the sky had transformed into a Fire Dragon Roll, sweeping straight toward him!

BOOM!

Although he quickly used his Wind Element Superpower to dodge, the fiery shockwave still blasted him down to the ground. And on the ground, his other Wind Dragon Vortex had also been engulfed in flames, rushing rapidly in his direction!

"Damn it." The man in black leaped into the sky once more, but this time, his goal was to flee as fast as possible. After flying a few meters to the side, he froze in midair.

"Sky or ground, you can’t escape," Nina chuckled.

"How is this possible...?"

Only then did the man in black realize that he and Nina had been fighting inside a massive sand shield all along. The sand shield was so enormous that he hadn’t even noticed when he became trapped inside it! And outside the sand shield, his captive comrades were shouting something at the top of their lungs.
