Wayne Warner stepped forward, glaring maliciously at the remaining people.

The explosion was accompanied by the reaping of Nina Jacobs’s Fire Blades.

The dozen or so people in the vehicle from before, plus the forty-something reinforcements who arrived mid-battle, meant Zoey Rhodes’s group had numbered over sixty in total.

But now, fewer than ten remained.

Chloe Ainsworth was already lying on the ground, covered in blood.

A voice came from the car behind as someone stepped out:

"Hahaha, you got what you deserved!"

Justin Stone was no longer afraid.

Nina Jacobs and Wayne Warner could instantly annihilate these people. The remaining few, like Ignatius Spencer, were no threat at all.

"Who told you to get out?"

Nina Jacobs’s gaze was displeased.

"Because I want to kill her with my own hands."

Justin Stone walked up to Chloe Ainsworth, a sharp blade in hand. "You knew I hate being betrayed more than anything, yet you still did this to me.

Since that’s the case, you can just go die!"

Before the blade could pierce Chloe Ainsworth’s body, a wood thorn suddenly shot up from the ground where Justin Stone was crouching!

Chloe Ainsworth’s face was also filled with hatred.

’The battle is lost today. No one is getting the supplies in Justin Stone’s space!’

Just as the wood thorn was about to run straight through Justin Stone’s chin and into his head, a Diamond Sand Spike, infused with a Speed Element Superpower, instantly pierced Chloe Ainsworth’s body.

Chloe Ainsworth died on the spot with her eyes wide open. The wood thorn stopped in an instant, and Justin Stone, terrified, collapsed onto the ground.

Despite the weather being nearly 40 degrees below zero, he was already drenched in sweat.

If Nina Jacobs hadn’t reacted so quickly just now, his brains would have probably been skewered!

Looking at Chloe Ainsworth, who was still staring at her even in death, Nina Jacobs simply waved her hand and used her Fire Element Superpower to burn the body to ashes.

"Now that you’ve killed her, don’t think you’ll live either."

At that moment, Zoey Rhodes, who was leaning to one side, suddenly spoke.

"Why?"

Nina Jacobs asked.

At a critical moment like that, if she hadn’t killed Chloe Ainsworth immediately, Justin Stone would have died, and all the supplies in his space would have been lost.

Besides, Chloe Ainsworth had already tried to kill her, so she never intended to let her go in the first place.

"You’ll find out later, hehehe..."

Zoey Rhodes just laughed with schadenfreude.

"Is that so?"

Nina Jacobs walked forward, step by step, but was blocked by Ignatius Spencer.

"Ma’am, could you perhaps spare them for now?

We’re from the Drakonian Command Headquarters. These people are suspicious and their motives are unclear. We’d like to take them back for interrogation."

Ignatius Spencer asked.

Nina Jacobs seemed to hesitate for a moment, then nodded and said:

"You can take them, but not him."

She raised her hand and pointed at the still-shaken Justin Stone, her firm tone carrying a hint of authority.

"This...

Very well, we understand.

May I ask for your esteemed name?"

Ignatius Spencer asked again.

Nina Jacobs had just saved them twice, yet they still didn’t know her name.

But Nina Jacobs left without saying a single word.

Inside the car, Justin Stone was laughing so hard he was crying:

"Good, it’s good that they’re all dead! In the end, I’m still the winner, hahaha!"

"Did you see that? That look of regret in her eyes at the end. She must have regretted betraying me."

"That’s right, she never should have lied to me from the start. Or rather, she never should have existed in this world in the first place."

"..."

Seeing Justin Stone muttering to himself, Nina Jacobs ignored him and said:

"Don’t forget what you just promised me."

What he promised her...

Justin Stone’s laughter stopped abruptly.

His eyes seemed a bit shifty, but he still answered:

"Don’t worry, Captain Jacobs. You saved me. I’ll give you at least eighty percent of the 2,000 tons of supplies in my space."

’2,000 tons of supplies?’

Nina Jacobs seemed to have expected this. She didn’t say anything about it, but instead said:

"My friend, the Space Superpower User, is waiting for me up ahead.

I’ll take you to meet her in a bit. I definitely can’t carry this many supplies on my own."

"No problem, no problem.

Miss Warner and I are already acquaintances. You can rest assured, Captain Jacobs."

Justin Stone rattled off his reply, not noticing the dangerous glint in Nina Jacobs’s eyes.

Nina Jacobs had Wayne Warner stop the car outside an abandoned factory.

This chemical plant was in a remote location, with only a few scattered zombies nearby. Nina Jacobs took care of them as she got out of the car.

"Wait for me here."

she said.

"Okay."

Although Nia was also curious why Nina Jacobs’s friend would be waiting here, she chose not to press the issue.

After all, they had only known each other for two days. It was important to have a sense of propriety.

Nina Jacobs seemed quite satisfied with Nia’s reaction, a faint smile lingering on her lips.

The two of them walked into a cluttered production workshop, where Justin Stone couldn’t help but sneeze a few times.

"Once I give the supplies to Miss Warner, we’ll be parting ways. Thanks again for today, Captain Jacobs."

Justin Stone said.

’It’s way too cold in this empty factory building.’

But Nina Jacobs, walking ahead, stopped.

"The supplies from the Qorbin Granary... it wasn’t just two thousand tons, was it?

You’re lying to me."

Nina Jacobs had anticipated this situation from the very beginning.

She knew Justin Stone would never honestly hand over everything he had, just as he had claimed to trust Chloe Ainsworth while secretly swapping out a few bottles of Holy Water.

"If you tell me the truth right now, I won’t kill you, and our deal will proceed as planned."

Nina Jacobs said.

Earlier, when she used "Five Senses Enhancement," she had heard both Justin Stone and Chloe Ainsworth personally mention that there were tens of thousands of tons of grain there.

But now he was only claiming there were 2,000 tons.

Justin Stone looked at Nina Jacobs, his expression awkward.

At this moment, all sorts of thoughts flashed wildly through his mind.

’Only I know the amount of supplies in my space. It’s impossible for Nina Jacobs to know.’

’She must be saying this just to bluff me.’

’If I panic, I’ll give myself away.’

So, Justin Stone pretended to explain anxiously:

"You don’t understand! The Qorbin Granary is huge, but a lot of the supplies inside were already damaged!

And many areas were contaminated by zombies. I only dared to collect the remaining clean supplies. I really do only have 2,000 tons in my space."

"Is that so? Are you sure?"

Nina Jacobs said with a smile.

"Of— of course I’m sure!

If I’m lying, may I be struck by lightning!"

Justin Stone even raised three fingers to swear an oath.

"You’re my savior! Besides, I can’t beat you in a fight. I’d lie to anyone, but I’d never lie to you! I..."

Before Justin Stone could finish, something hard suddenly flew from across the room and into his mouth.

He started coughing violently.

"What... what did you make me eat?"

Justin Stone looked at the expressionless Nina Jacobs and could clearly see a hint of coldness.

Only then did he realize something was wrong.

’There’s no Space Superpower User Claire Warner here at all. Nina Jacobs deliberately lured me here to question me, and if I lied...’

"I remembered wrong! I actually have 3,000 tons of grain in my space! I’ll give it to you, I’ll give it all..."

Justin Stone felt his brain gradually shutting down, as if his thoughts had been hit with a powerful anesthetic, and for a moment, he couldn’t think of anything at all.

"You..."

Looking at Justin Stone, whose eyes were gradually becoming dull and vacant, Nina Jacobs issued a command:

"Take out all the supplies in your space."

Justin Stone stood on the spot, as if processing Nina Jacobs’s command, then slowly extended his hand.

Bag after bag of grain and supplies appeared on the empty ground between them.

As time passed, second by second, Justin Stone’s face grew progressively paler.

And the sacks of grain in front of them gradually piled up into a small mountain...
