After I Died, the Scumbag Went Mad
Chapter 252 - 251: It’s Legal for Asher and Cecilia Caldwell to Do Naughty Things
Chapter 252: Chapter 251: It’s Legal for Asher and Cecilia Caldwell to Do Naughty Things
"Cece..."
Asher was terrified by my self-harm. He knew I was protesting—protesting against the people watching me from the shadows.
But he didn’t want me to hurt myself.
He preferred the amnesiac Cece to the one who could remember... At least she was carefree.
’That’s why... for all the years I had amnesia, Asher chose to suffer in desperate silence, protecting me from the shadows without daring to come near. He was afraid that seeing him would make me remember the past.’
’He was afraid I’d be plunged back into the torment of Hell.’
’He wanted to save me.’
’He could only watch helplessly as I fell in love with someone else. He didn’t dare get close...’
’How much pain he must have been in.’
’A hundred times more than me, I’m sure.’
’To watch the person you love forget you and fall for someone else.’
"Cece... Look at me. Look at me, please, look at me." Asher’s voice sounded so distant.
He pleaded, his voice trembling, for me to look at him.
To look into his eyes.
His eyes were a profound blue, like a starry sky, or maybe the deep sea...
I once wished for nothing more than to drown in those eyes. Death wouldn’t be a punishment, but my release.
Unfortunately.
It’s like I’m cursed. ’Back from the dead?’
"Cece."
Asher took me home, and we hid in the basement.
He held me and whispered, "Cece, we’re going to win. We will."
"Can we escape?" I asked Asher.
When I was eighteen, I begged Asher to run away with me, and I asked him the same question.
"We’re not running anymore..."
Asher said we weren’t running anymore.
When I was eighteen, Asher’s answer was: ’Yes, we definitely will.’
He promised me that we would definitely escape.
But we failed.
When we were young, we just didn’t have the means or the ability to fight the powerful elite.
But this time, Asher said we’re not running.
’Fine. Then we won’t run.’
’They are our nightmare. But we can become theirs, too.’
"We’re not running anymore..." I cupped Asher’s cheeks and kissed him.
Asher raised a hand to the back of my head, deepening the kiss...
’I don’t think I’m very good at kissing. I keep forgetting to breathe; I feel like I’m about to suffocate.’
Asher gently kissed the corners of my eyes, tenderly wiping away my tears. His breath was hot. "Cece... I ache."
He was asking for my consent.
If I said no, he wouldn’t touch me.
I remembered... Back during our first blush of youth, that age of colliding and exploding hormones, we would also try kissing, just like this, feeling our bodies ruled by desire.
"It’s only making... love when both people want it. If one person forces the other, that’s assault." I remembered telling Asher that for things like this, you must have the other person’s consent.
Back then, Asher seemed easily swayed by his desires.
But he could control himself.
For Cecilia, he could restrain his instincts and desires.
The Asher of the past was like a beast trapped in an iron cage, and Cecilia was his only faith.
’If killing is a beast’s instinct, then fighting my own nature for you is the proof of my love.’
"Cece, we have a license," Asher said, his gaze burning as he looked at me, as if showing off.
Things were different now. Back then, we had just become adults and didn’t have the ability to be responsible for each other, so we had to desperately restrain our desires and instincts.
But it was different now. Now we had a marriage certificate; doing this kind of intimate thing was legal.
I froze for a second, looking at Asher. The innocent yet eager look in his eyes seemed to instantly wash away all my unease.
There was always a voice telling me to hold him tight, trust him, and fulfill his every request.
The tips of my ears turned a little red. It was only then that I realized, during my earlier frenzy, I had ended up on his lap.
His hands were wrapped around my waist. The position was truly... intimate.
My fingertips were a little cold. I gently touched his cheek and kissed him again.
’Let’s just be crazy one more time... and forget everything complicated for a little while.’
"Asher..." I took the initiative, unbuttoning and taking off my shirt, then reaching for the clasp on my bra...
Now that I was taking the lead, Asher was the one who got embarrassed.
His face instantly flushed, and his eyes instinctively darted away.
"Look at me..." I pressed my forehead against Asher’s and continued the kiss from before.
He tried to take the lead, but I used a piece of clothing to tie his hands behind his back.
"Who... Who taught you that?" Asher stammered, the tips of his ears red. But despite his fluster, his aura and his gaze were still incredibly intense...
"The internet," I answered truthfully.
"You should watch... less of that junk." Asher cleared his throat, seeming to think I was a bit of a fast learner.
"Wait..." Seeing my fingers touch his waist, Asher suppressed his desire and spoke again, his voice hoarse. "Left drawer... condoms."
I narrowed my eyes and gripped Asher’s neck. "Why are there condoms in your secret base?"
’He’d better have a good explanation.’
Asher’s gaze flickered away again. "Wanted... to hide you away."
’I knew it! He’s had bad intentions all along! He wanted to hide me away, lock me in the basement, and then do this kind of thing to me!!’
"It’s... It’s legal," Asher muttered under his breath.
"Even a married couple has no right to imprison someone if they don’t consent..." I chuckled, deliberately grinding against him.
Asher’s breathing was hot. He spoke, holding back, "But what if you beg me..."
’He was worried I would beg him to lock me up. And that would make anything legal.’
I bent my head and kissed him again. "Sebastian Lancaster... let me forget. Even if it’s just for a little while."
"Okay..."
I don’t know when he broke free from his bonds, but he flipped me over and pressed me underneath him, his kisses coming down on me, dense and wild.
"Asher..."
I cried out his name, and for a moment, it felt like I could forget everything.
Only in moments like this could I be completely focused, stop thinking, stop doubting everyone.
...
Asher didn’t let me go until two in the morning.
"Untie my hands..." My voice was hoarse. I tugged at my wrists, my eyes red-rimmed.
’He’s a quick study, isn’t he?’
"No." Asher grunted, pulling me into his arms. "You’ll run away if I untie you..."
"Sebastian Lancaster!" I bit out his name.
He remained unmoved, his hands starting to wander mischievously. "Cece... I want more..."
"No, you don’t! Don’t even think about it!" I was instantly on high alert. ’Is he trying to kill me...?’
Asher let out an aggrieved little hum and wrapped himself around me like an octopus, holding me tight.
"Sebastian Lancaster, I’m warning you, untie me..."
He still didn’t move.
I couldn’t be bothered to struggle anymore and drifted off into a groggy sleep.
When I woke up the next day, the ropes on my wrists were gone. I was curled up in his arms, sleeping soundly and peacefully.
I had to admit... Asher was like my antidote.
Asher and I spent the night nestled in his secret base. In this windowless, airtight basement with only a ventilation system, I felt a sense of security I’d never experienced before.
"Sir, there’s a woman at the door. She says she’s Victor Quinn’s daughter." When Owen Foster knocked, Asher was still holding me, pretending to be asleep.
I narrowed my eyes and gave his ear a tug. "Stop pretending."
Asher opened his eyes with a wronged expression and whispered, "Wifey... I was wrong."
’So now he knows he’s wrong.’
"Victor Quinn’s daughter?" ’Victor Quinn’s eldest daughter had congenital cerebral palsy and was said to have passed away. His second daughter was with his current wife, so it must be her.’
’The granddaughter of the mental hospital’s director.’
"Mr. Julian Fletcher came with her," Owen Foster said.
I frowned. ’Julian Fletcher came with Victor Quinn’s daughter?’
"Oh, and Erin Whittaker," Owen Foster added.
Asher sat up, annoyed. "Next time, spit it all out at once. And tell that Whittaker woman and Fletcher to get the hell away from here."
