After Gender Transformation, I Was Adjusted by the System into the Demon Queen’s Strongest Maid
Chapter 189 : I’m Giving Her to You
That entire day, Lilia did not see the cowardly priest who was always curled up in the corner doing accounts in the Document Audit Department.
That desk piled high with documents was now empty, with only a slightly deformed chair left standing there alone.
“Ran away?”
Lilia twirled a pen in her hand, her gaze sweeping over the empty seat.
Didn’t seem likely.
That human was so timid she wouldn’t even dare to kill a chicken, and yesterday she had practically sold herself just for a bowl of fried rice.
A top-tier corporate slave who could be worked like an ox for just a meal—how could she possibly abandon such a “secure job” and go out to die?
She was probably hiding in the back garden pretending to be dead.
Lilia didn’t care much.
One less person—one less meal to cook.
……
Lucy shrank into herself like a quail, staring in terror at the rows upon rows of “clothing” hanging before her.
“What, don’t like them?”
Camilla leaned lazily against the wardrobe.
Lucy shook her head frantically, like a rattling drum.
“M-my lady… Grand Duke… this isn’t necessary, right?!”
Her voice trembled. “I’m a priest! A proper priest! If I wear something so… so indecent, the gods will strike me down with lightning!”
“Gods?” Camilla stepped forward, her cool fingertip lifting Lucy’s chin. “Last night, where were your gods when you needed saving?”
Lucy’s face instantly flushed to the color of liver, wishing she could crawl into a crack in the ground.
“I… I’ll just wear my own…” she said weakly, pointing at the pile of shredded cloth in the corner.
“Suit yourself.”
Camilla released her hand, uninterested, and returned to sit on the soft couch covered in expensive beast fur, crossing her long legs and revealing large stretches of dazzlingly white skin.
“But since you don’t want to wear these, let’s talk business.”
She took a sip of wine, her gaze suddenly turning sharp. “Who trained you?”
Lucy’s heart skipped a beat.
But under Camilla’s piercing gaze, which seemed capable of seeing through her soul, Lucy instantly caved.
“It… it was Lady Lilia…”
“Lilia?”
Camilla raised an eyebrow, surprise flashing in her eyes before turning into something more amused.
That woman?
No wonder.
“So you’re her person.” Camilla set down her glass, the corner of her lips curving into a meaningful smile. “Interesting.”
She stood up, and the oppressive aura of a Grand Duke of the Demon Realm instantly filled the room.
“Get dressed—even if it’s just wrapping yourself in a bedsheet.”
She walked to the door, glancing back at Lucy.
“Come with me.”
“Go… go where?” Lucy clutched the blanket tightly.
“To find your ‘former master.’”
……
The next morning, Document Audit Department.
Lilia was being driven mad by a logistics procurement form.
Just as she was about to slam it back for revision, the office door was suddenly kicked open.
“Bang!”
The succubi inside, who had been slacking off and painting their nails, screamed in shock. They were just about to curse, but upon seeing who it was, they instantly fell silent, each one wishing they could disappear into the floor.
At the doorway stood Camilla, dressed in a purple high-slit gown, her presence fully unleashed like a queen inspecting her domain.
Behind her followed someone who looked… like a refugee.
Lucy was wrapped in an oversized cloak that clearly didn’t fit, her head lowered like a thief caught red-handed.
“Well, well, isn’t this Grand Duke Camilla?”
Lilia didn’t even bother getting up. She tossed the feather pen onto the desk and looked at the unexpected guest with a half-smile. “What’s wrong? Did your Succubus Tower collapse, or are you bored again and came here to amuse yourself?”
“Hmph.”
Camilla walked in with graceful, feline steps, her heels clicking crisply against the floor. Ignoring Lilia’s sarcasm entirely, she grabbed Lucy from behind and shoved her forward.
“This thing—yours?”
Lilia glanced at Lucy.
“More or less.” She leaned back in her chair, arms crossed.
“Good. That makes things simple.”
Camilla placed both hands on Lilia’s desk, leaning forward, her imposing presence pressing in.
“I want her.”
“Huh?”
Lilia wondered if her ears were malfunctioning.
“I said, I’ve taken a liking to this little one.” Camilla pointed at the trembling Lucy. “I’m transferring her to the Succubus Tower.”
Lilia blinked, her brain working at high speed.
What was this?
Some new form of masochism?
“What do you want her for?” Lilia asked oddly. “As a mascot?”
“That’s none of your concern.”
“I have my uses for her. Just answer me—are you giving her or not?”
Camilla lifted her chin, clearly ready to fight if refused.
In her mind, someone as possessive as Lilia would never easily let go of her subordinate.
However—
Lilia only fell silent for three seconds.
“Alright.”
She suddenly slammed the table, startling Camilla.
“Deal!”
Lilia stood up, her smile so bright it made Camilla uneasy. She even walked around the desk and warmly grabbed Camilla’s hand, gripping it as if she were clutching a savior.
“Lady Camilla, you truly have a great eye!”
“She’s a good kid! Since you’ve taken a liking to her, it’s her fortune!”
Then she turned to Lucy, who was completely dumbfounded, her tone turning stern.
“What are you standing there for? Hurry up and thank Grand Duke Camilla for taking you in! Work hard at the Succubus Tower from now on. Don’t embarrass me—and don’t even think about coming back, understand?”
Lucy: “???”
Camilla: “???”
According to the script, shouldn’t Lilia have slammed the table, shouted “How dare you touch my subordinate,” and fought her for three hundred rounds?
What was with this “hurry up and take the trash away” expression?
“You…” Camilla looked at Lilia suspiciously. “You’re not even going to try to keep her?”
“Keep her for what?” Lilia said righteously. “For the sake of my employee’s better career development, how could I, as a superior, become an obstacle? The Succubus Tower has better treatment, better food, and...”
“F-fine then.”
Although Camilla felt like she had somehow been tricked, seeing Lucy’s pitiful yet slightly dazed expression made her possessiveness win out.
As long as she got the person, that was enough.
“Let’s go.”
She wrapped an arm around Lucy’s shoulders and led her out.
“Take care! Come visit often!”
