"Damn your rules!" Carl roared as he charged forward, swinging his arm for a punch.

"Thud!" Shangguan Li had prisoners behind him and didn’t dodge, taking the punch squarely on the face, causing his nose to bleed.

"Master!" Dongdong was also there; over the years, she had grown up and was now less impulsive than before.

But seeing Shangguan Li getting hit, she exploded on the spot, cussing as she rushed over, "You bastard, I’ll kill your dad!"

Dongdong fiercely tackled Carl, flipping him to the ground, cursing foul words while punching him hard in the face.

This act was like igniting a powder keg, instantly setting off the emotions of everyone present.

Seeing their brother being hit, the soldiers from Wolf Raid shouted and cursed, swarming towards Dongdong.

The mercenaries, seeing that it was clearly the others who started the fight and now wanted a brawl, were not to be outdone and charged forward.

People from both sides crashed into each other, moving from pushing and shoving to punching and kicking, and soon hundreds were involved in a brawl.

"Dare to touch my master, you cursed fool, I’ll beat you to death!"

"To hell with you, shorty, I’ll pluck all your pink hair!"

"Quick, help Sister Dong! Go!"

"Brothers, attack! Make these mercenaries submit!"

The scene immediately fell into chaos, with shouts, roars, and the sounds of impact blending into a cacophony.

The news of a brawl in the prisoner camp spread quickly.

When Hibell and Su Mo arrived with reinforcements, many people were already lying on the ground, their faces bruised and muttering curses.

Dongdong and Carl were still fighting in the mud, both faces scratched, yet neither yielding, each grabbing and hitting the other back and forth.

Shangguan Li barely managed to pull Dongdong away, only to get kicked by Carl, who was then pushed aside by Shangguan Li, followed by a punch.

Hibell, seeing the brawl, was furious, rushing in and shouting, "Stop fighting! We’re all on the same side! What’s the fight for?!"

As Shangguan Li and Su Mo dragged Dongdong away, she was still pointing at Carl’s nose and cursing, "Damn you, fool, you dare touch my master?!"

Carl, held back by Hibell, was still not backing down, retorting, "So what if I hit her? Hypocritical women deserve a beating!"

Dongdong: "You try cursing one more time??!!"

They were about to fight again, fortunately, with heavyweights like Su Mo and Hibell present, the other people’s emotions had cooled down and began to disperse, and Dongdong and Carl were restrained separately.

This round of brawling injured many, but the only consolation was that both sides held back.

Fighting was one thing; everyone knew they were on the same side, and no one struck too harshly.

Dongdong and Carl were the same.

Both were extraordinary beings, yet no matter how fierce, they didn’t use extraordinary powers.

If it were for real, Carl, a basic officer, was no match at the fourth stage level, nothing to fight Dongdong with.

Up till now, both only sustained superficial injuries, looked messy, but it wasn’t a big deal.

Hibell stepped to the middle, sternly questioning, "What happened?!"

Carl pointed at Shangguan Li and others, reluctantly saying, "Second leader, tell me, the lackeys of the World Government killed so many of our brothers, I wanted to avenge them, but these people stopped me!"

Hibell scolded angrily, "Revenge, revenge, are you a bandit? Taking revenge on unarmed prisoners? With the energy to fight amongst ourselves, why didn’t you kill a few more enemies on the battlefield then?"

In terms of qualifications, strength, and status, Carl couldn’t compare to Hibell, and couldn’t argue back against the scolding.

In his haste, tears welled up, and he shouted, "I refuse to accept this!"

Hibell was relentless: "Refuse to accept it? Keep it to yourself! Breaking discipline and still having the nerve? Tell me, who started the fight?"

Dongdong glanced at the teary-eyed Carl, then suddenly voiced, "It was me."

Carl froze for a moment, wiped his tears, and shouted, "No need for you to play the good guy! I started the fight!"

Dongdong, with a mocking tone, said, "You keep saying you’re the man, but you can’t win a fight, and now you’re crying, it’s hilarious."

Carl, flushed with embarrassment after being taunted, retorted, "Who the hell can’t beat you! Want a rematch?"

Dongdong: "Then bring it on, who’s afraid of you?"

"Stop arguing!" Hibell loudly stopped their quarrel.

She glanced secretly at Su Mo, seemingly seeking a cue.

After receiving a response through a look, she coldly said to Dongdong and Carl, "You both like taking the blame, don’t you? Fine, both of you! The two instigators, go to the confinement room immediately, no food or drink, reflect for 24 hours!"

Dongdong grumbled shamelessly, "Fine, I’ll go, nothing to be proud of."

As soldiers led the two to confinement, they continued exchanging verbal barbs along the way.

Soon, the crowd at the scene dispersed.

After restoring order, Hibell found Su Mo and whispered, "Sorry, Boss, I know it was definitely Carl who started it."

"But with so many people around, I have to account for the Wolf Raid brothers too, so I had to lock both of them up... wait until tomorrow when the second leader is out, I will apologize to her."

Su Mo shook his head with a smile, "It’s alright, though Dongzai holds grudges, she never grudges against her own people. She’ll forget it after a sleep in there and be out tomorrow."

"But you and Fenrir, having so many passionate people under you, managing them isn’t easy at all."

Hibell sighed helplessly, "You’re right, managing this is truly a headache."

"Whether they were originally the ones who followed from the borders or the ones recruited in the Land of No Master, at the end of the day, we’re all rough-living folks, uneducated, never learned discipline, growing up only knowing how to fight."

"We have no relatives, no family, just comrades around, brotherhood is the only thing remaining. So, don’t blame Carl for getting so worked up, losing good brothers hurts more than anything."

Su Mo looked up at the distant sky, saying, "I understand, it’s natural. We are humans, and humans have emotions and desires; very few can be purely rational."

At this moment, twilight had fallen, the clamor of war fading, the sunset slowly sinking, its fiery glow lighting up the once smoke-filled city, illuminating the war-torn buildings.

The desolate scene reflected in Su Mo’s eyes, he murmured, "That’s why, what is human-managed can never be perfect, be it small groups or a large world."

Hibell blinked, smiled, "Boss, you speak like a philosopher. A mere brawl, yet you relate it to philosophy?"

Su Mo didn’t say much more, lightly patting Hibell’s shoulder, advised, "You’re still wounded, better get some rest early, cherish the scarce rest time."

She nodded, "Okay, you rest early too."

After parting ways, Hibell returned to the camp early.

Su Mo, on the other hand, wandered onto the city walls, overlooking from on high, the formerly towering trees outside now remaining but charred branches, standing lonely on the desolate ground, with the cold wind bringing a bitter chill, stirring the dust swirling in the air.

The ground was scattered with broken weapons and ammunition shells, mingled with burnt-out vehicles and body fragments. A few crows perched on a tank wreckage, their black feathers gleaming faintly under the sunset, occasionally letting out low caws, pecking at the flesh between metal crevices.

Those once vibrant lives, whether of the World Government Army or Wolf Raid, now lay as corpses, narrating the grimness of war.

Suddenly, Su Mo remembered a sentence he’d once read.

The animal that kills the most humans is, in fact, humans themselves.

As time passed, the glow of twilight gradually faded, and night fell.

The evening glow was devoured by darkness, stars twinkling in the silent night sky, with only the calls of crows breaking the quiet.

In the darkness, Su Mo gazed at the ancient stars overhead, whispering softly, his voice mixed with the distant cawing of the crows.

"I want to give you a perfect world."
