Chapter 73: Hospitality of Earth’s Government

As the two continued to follow the two fighter jets, they finally saw a large white building after flying for so long.

The fighter jets started to descend toward the ground with Jiang Yun and Hua Jing following along closely.

Once the fighter jets landed, Jiang Yun and Hua Jing landed right next to them. They both then waited for what was going to happen next, curious about what these people were planning.

The windows on the fighter jets opened and two figures came out of their respective fighter jets. One of them was a woman and the other was a man.

After coming out, the two walked toward Jiang Yun and Hua Jing, seemingly ready to explain themselves.

"We welcome you both warmly to Earth," the woman began saying after arriving in front of the two. "We have been observing ever since you both appeared on the Moon and have awaited your arrival."

As the woman finished speaking, a large car drove right next to the four of them before stopping. Another man stepped out of the driver’s seat and opened the door for Jiang Yun and Hua Jing.

"Please step in," the driver said as he bowed respectfully. "We will be taking you to the White House to further show our hospitality."

The man and woman who came out of the fighter jets also bowed, showing their respect for Jiang Yun.

Curious about where this was going, Jiang Yun decided to play along as he gestured for Hua Jing to get in the car with him.

After the both of them got in, the driver shut the door before going back to the driver’s seat himself. The man began to drive immediately afterward, not wanting to keep Jiang Yun waiting.

The current place where they landed was already fairly close to their destination, so after a few minutes, they arrived as the driver exited the car again to open the door for Jiang Yun and Hua Jing.

Another well-dressed man came out of the building in front of them, respectfully saying, "Please follow me."

Jiang Yun moved forward and stepped next to the man, who then began to lead the way. As the three passed through the hallway, Jiang Yun found the interior quite interesting with its unique designs and furnishings.

Once the group arrived at a particular door, the well-dressed man opened it, revealing a circular room with a desk near the window. In front of the desk was a small table with two seating areas beside it.

At the main desk sat an elderly man who was busy with paperwork until the opening door caught his attention. Seeing who had arrived, the elderly man gestured for Jiang Yun and Hua Jing to take a seat.

Jiang Yun picked one of the seats to sit down on, and so did Hua Jing. Once the both of them were seated, the well-dressed man closed the door as he left the room.

"I welcome the both of you," the elderly man said with an aged voice. "I am President Harrison Martin, and I wanted to meet you personally after recognizing who you are."

"Do you know me?" Jiang Yun asked, as he hasn’t been on Earth in over a hundred years. It was strange for anyone to remember who he was.

"I don’t know you personally, but your deeds from over a hundred years ago have been passed down from president to president to this day. With all the videos circulating of you from back then, you were quite famous for a long time."

"So, what do you want to see me for in person?"

"I would like to ask your purpose in coming back to Earth. You have not been spotted for over a hundred years, so you must have a reason."

"What does it matter to you that I have a purpose in coming back?"

"This is a country of faith, and we will do our best in aiding you, as you are recognized as the embodiment of God, or simply God himself."

"What help could you possibly give to me? You are a mortal with limited power. There isn’t much you can do for me."

"Though I may be a mortal, I have quite a bit of power as a leader of a country. If you ask for anything, I can get it done."

Jiang Yun started thinking about the offer for help, as it could be more convenient with an inhabitant of this planet. Though there wasn’t a real need, it wouldn’t hurt to have some help.

"Then give us freedom to move around without being stopped. I want unrestricted access to anywhere, as I don’t have a habit of killing indiscriminately unless provoked. I’d rather avoid killing your people, if necessary, as it would be annoying to clean up."

"Done. That’s a simple matter that requires no effort. Is that all you really need?"

"That’s all, as I don’t really need that much more help for what I’m here to do."

"May I ask what it is you are trying to do?"

"I’m here to find a certain being that is hiding on your planet. This being is quite interesting, as I can’t pinpoint the exact location this being is at and can only feel a general location."

"How about we help you find this being?"

"Only I can find this being, as I don’t know the appearance or anything except the presence that is given off."

Harrison began feeling annoyed, as all his offers of help were futile. Unable to offer any more help, Harrison pulled out two phones and presented them to Hua Jing and Jiang Yun.

"What is this?" Jiang Yun asked as he picked up the phone.

"This is a way for us to communicate with you if you ever need our help. I will be ready to help at any time if need be."

Observing the phone and seeing no problems with it, Jiang Yun decided to keep it, as it didn’t matter much if he kept it around. Seeing Jiang Yun taking the phone, Hua Jing did the same.

"That’s all I have to say, so you both may leave now. Please come again if you need anything, as I will always be available."

Having finished this strange meeting, Jiang Yun got up and started to walk toward the door with Hua Jing following close behind.

Opening the door, Jiang Yun saw the well-dressed man from before greeting him with a nod. Passing the well-dressed man, the man kept his bow the entire time, trying to show respect for Jiang Yun as he left.

Once out of view, the well-dressed man entered the room with the president.

"Is there a need to go this far just for someone with some supernatural abilities?" the well-dressed man asked, standing in front of the president.

"There is indeed a need to go this far, as this person can fly, survive a nuclear bomb, and survive in space," Harrison explained with a deep frown on his face. "If we offend this kind of person, we won’t have a good end, as he can kill us without us even knowing it."

"Then why don’t we just ignore him and make sure not to offend him?"

"The reason is simple. If we make a positive connection with him, just think of the benefits he could bring. If you hadn’t seen, he looks exactly like he did a hundred years ago, which means he has the means to immortality. Another reason is his power. If we could gain his favor, perhaps he could do something for us."

Thinking about it this way, the well-dressed man realized that the benefits were indeed worth the trouble of connecting with Jiang Yun. Immortality was simply too tempting to give up.

"Then how would you like us to proceed?" the well-dressed man asked, as he now understood the benefits of connecting with a powerful being.

"Continue to observe and wait for a chance to gain a favor. We simply cannot just let him leave without us connecting in some way."

"Understood. I will make sure to find the perfect chance to provide aid."

The well-dressed man left the room, eager to gain favor with Jiang Yun, as immortality was a possibility if the conditions were favorable.

Harrison, now left alone in the office, walked toward the window to see Jiang Yun flying off into the distance. This made Harrison even more eager to connect with Jiang Yun, as his abilities were far too desirable not to try.

Waiting for the day that the opportunity would arrive, Harrison went back to his desk to continue his paperwork. He began thinking about what it would be like to regain his youth if Jiang Yun provided him with the method.

In the sky, Jiang Yun was flying around with Hua Jing behind him to try and track down where exactly the source of the system that the transmigrators possessed came from.

Whoever it was had an extreme mastery at hiding, as Jiang Yun couldn’t track the being down despite flying for so long.

Unable to find any leads, Jiang Yun landed at a random place in a city with Hua Jing, wanting to decide on his next course of action.

As the two walked around, a middle-aged woman suddenly stood in front of the two, blocking them from going any further.

The woman looked very closely at Hua Jing before asking, "Master?"
