After a Flash Marriage With a Billionaire, My Brothers Are Begging for My Forgiveness!
Chapter 245: All the Inheritance Goes to Sienna
Chapter 245: Chapter 245: All the Inheritance Goes to Sienna
After visiting the patient, Sienna Everett walked Ian Prescott and Javier Prescott out of the hospital room.
"Sienna, don’t worry too much," Ian Prescott said with concern. "You have to take care of yourself, too. Don’t collapse from exhaustion before Julian Forrester wakes up."
Javier Prescott, who usually wore a cold expression, had a flicker of worry in his eyes. "He’s right, Sienna. Take care of yourself."
Sienna Everett nodded. "I will. You two haven’t gone back yet?"
"Not yet. We’ve been investigating Ophelia Warren, trying to see if she has any connection to our Prescott family." Ian Prescott arched a brow. "I went to see her this morning."
"And? Did you find anything out?" Sienna Everett asked.
"Not yet, but my older brother has already thought of a foolproof way to confirm if Ophelia Warren is our long-lost sister." The corners of Ian Prescott’s lips curled up, giving him a shrewd and calculating look.
"A foolproof method?" Sienna Everett echoed in surprise, her eyes turning to Javier Prescott, who was standing beside her.
A ripple of excitement suddenly stirred Javier Prescott’s calm heart. ’Sienna’s not afraid of me anymore! She looked at me of her own accord!’
Suppressing the joy bubbling up inside him, Javier Prescott gave a calm nod. "That’s right. A foolproof method. We’ll be able to confirm it very soon."
Sienna Everett didn’t ask for the details.
She figured that with Javier Prescott and Ian Prescott’s intellect and methods, if they were confident enough to say it, then they could definitely guarantee it was foolproof.
The three of them chatted for a little longer before Sienna escorted them downstairs.
They were in the VIP ward on the 8th floor. The three of them took the elevator down to the first floor.
When they got out of the elevator, Ian Prescott stopped her. "Sienna, you don’t have to see us all the way out. There are too many people outside; it’ll be easy for them to recognize you."
Sienna Everett nodded. "Alright. Be safe on your way back."
Ian Prescott and Javier Prescott chatted with Sienna for a few more moments before turning to leave the hospital.
Sienna Everett pressed the elevator button, ready to head back to the 8th floor.
Just then, someone called out to her from behind. "Sienna?"
Sienna Everett turned around instinctively and was surprised to see Wyatt Everett.
With him were Dustin Everett and Lucas Everett, the latter of whom had a square of gauze taped to his head.
"Sienna, what’s wrong? Why are you at the hospital?" Wyatt Everett ran over, fraught with worry. His eyes scanned her from head to toe. "Are you sick? Have you seen a doctor?"
Dustin Everett and Lucas Everett rushed over as well.
Sienna didn’t want to deal with them and tried to get into the elevator, but it still hadn’t arrived.
Dustin Everett’s eyes were filled with panic. "Sienna, what’s really wrong? I know a doctor at this hospital! You won’t have to wait in line; I can take you to see them right now!"
Lucas Everett chimed in, "Sienna, I know you hate us, but please don’t be reckless with your health. Just go see a doctor, okay?"
Annoyed by their fussing, Sienna’s brow furrowed. "I’m not sick."
Wyatt Everett was instantly relieved. "Oh, that’s great! As long as you’re okay. I was worried sick just now! When I saw you at the hospital, I thought..."
’What’s even sadder is that she came to the hospital all by herself.’
’It’s a good thing she’s not sick. If she had even a minor ailment, how helpless would she have been, coming to the hospital, checking in, and waiting in line all by herself?’
"Sienna," Wyatt Everett took a couple of deep breaths, his eyes filled with concern and compassion. "Please unblock my number. I promise I won’t bother you, but if you ever need anything, day or night, you can call me. I’ll be there in a heartbeat!"
"Yeah, Sienna, unblock me, too," Dustin Everett added, his eyes full of desperate hope. "If something like this happens again, you won’t have to come to the hospital by yourself... We’re your real brothers. It’s our duty to take care of you!"
Wyatt and Dustin had already said all the good lines. Lucas, a step behind, couldn’t rustle up any moving words from his slow-to-react brain. All he could do was add pitifully, "Sienna, please unblock your fourth brother, too."
Sienna, of course, ignored them, but out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the gauze patch on Lucas Everett’s head.
Dustin immediately explained, "That’s from the other day, when we were secretly following you in the car. A kid on a skateboard came rushing by, and when Lucas pulled you out of the way, the kid crashed into him. He fell and hit his head. He’s just here today to get the dressing changed."
Sienna remembered that incident.
Lucas had yanked her out of the way, only to get hit by the skateboarder himself.
’He hit his head?’
A hint of bashful embarrassment appeared on Lucas Everett’s rugged face. "Sienna, don’t worry. It’s not serious at all. It’s already healed."
Although this was a chance to win her over, Lucas didn’t want to be despicable and use the incident to make his sister feel guilty, so he explained:
"I just scraped the skin. Compared to everything you used to do for me, this is nothing!"
Sienna gave him an indifferent glance and said nothing.
Wyatt Everett suddenly had a thought. "Sienna, if you’re not here to see a doctor, then... are you here to visit Mother?"
This was the best hospital in the city.
Sheila Whitaker had been staying at this hospital ever since she fell ill.
Just not in the VIP ward, but in a regular room on the 5th floor.
Hearing this, Sienna coolly denied it. "No."
Wyatt just hummed in response. He didn’t find her attitude cold in the slightest.
’After all, their mother really had wronged Sienna in so many ways and remained stubbornly unrepentant, still treating that devious, hypocritical, and repulsive Shannon Everett like the apple of her eye.’
Wyatt had a faint feeling their mother would soon suffer a major fall because of Shannon.
"Then Sienna, why are you at the hospital today?" Dustin asked curiously.
The moment he asked, Dustin had a miserable realization. ’My sister hates me so much she doesn’t even want to see me. Why would she ever answer my question?’
And just as he expected, Sienna completely ignored him. She just stared at the changing floor numbers on the elevator display, looking desperate to leave and get away from the three of them.
A sharp pain shot through Lucas’s heart. ’My sister used to be so good to me, but I was too blind to see it and didn’t know how to cherish her. Now I want to make it up to her, but it’s already too late.’
Wyatt was just as heartbroken. After hesitating for two seconds, he suddenly pulled out his phone, found a photo in his album, and held it out in front of Sienna.
Wyatt said in a solemn tone, "Sienna, I’ve offered you a house, a car, a credit card... but you refused them all. You’re unwilling to accept anything I do to make it up to you..."
"But that’s okay. This is a notarized will. If I die unexpectedly one day, all of my assets will go to you. I’ve already signed it, and it’s been notarized, so it’s legally binding."
Dustin Everett’s eyes went wide. He craned his neck to get a look, and sure enough, the photo was of the will’s contents!
All his assets were to go to Sienna, and he had signed it!
"Third Brother, you..." Dustin was dumbfounded. "When did you do this?!"
"A while ago," Wyatt replied nonchalantly.
’He was the first to realize how wonderful Sienna was, the first to seek her forgiveness. But she refused to accept anything from him, not even the smallest thing.’
’He was completely out of ideas, so he had the will notarized.’
’He gave everything he owned to Sienna.’
Sienna was stunned into silence.
’The moment she heard the word ’will,’ she was truly astonished. She never would have thought Wyatt would make such a decision... to draw up a will at his age...’
Dustin was both shocked and angry. ’Such a great way to make it up to Sienna! Why didn’t Wyatt share it with me?!’
’Wyatt stole another chance to impress her!’
’It’s infuriating!’
"No way," Dustin suddenly declared, his expression solemn. "I’m going to have a will notarized, too! I’ll give all my assets to Sienna!"
Lucas added with a serious look, "Me too. I’ll do the same."
Sienna: "..."
’What in the world are they doing???’
"Sienna?" Just then, a gentle female voice called her name from behind.
Sienna turned. When she saw who it was, she arched a single, deliberate brow. It was Ophelia Warren and Miles Everett.
