Chapter 239: Chapter 239: Julian Forrester in Trouble? Bro, Your Wife Went on a Blind Date

After The Azure Art Exhibition ended.

Miles Everett came looking for Sienna Everett.

Sienna Everett watched him with a cold, indifferent expression, as if looking at a complete stranger.

Miles fell silent for a moment as he met her cold gaze. Back with the Everett Family, even when he had been distant, Sienna’s eyes had always been filled with anticipation and longing whenever she looked at him.

"...Sierra, I’m very fond of your piece, Rivers and Mountains Like a Painting. I’m willing to pay a high price for it."

Sienna’s refusal was blunt. "It’s not for sale."

Miles frowned and pressed her. "Is it that you don’t want to sell the painting at all, or that you just don’t want to sell it to me?"

"Of course..." Sienna let out a derisive laugh, a scornful chill filling her beautiful eyes. "I just don’t want to sell it to you."

Miles’s frown deepened. He looked like he wanted to say more, but Sienna had already turned to leave, as if speaking another word to him would be a waste of her time.

...

After Fabian Vance finished taking care of post-exhibition arrangements, he invited Sienna Everett, Julian Forrester, Keith Sterling, and Moss into a nearby lounge.

Everyone sat down on the sofa.

Moss peppered Sienna with questions, barely pausing for a moment.

Keith Sterling glanced at Moss, then at his big brother. ’Tsk, stop monopolizing Sierra’s time,’ he thought. ’Hurry up and give her back to him!’

But just as Moss quieted down, Fabian Vance started in. "Sierra, you’ve suffered with the Everett Family these past couple of years..."

With the Everett Family’s recent actions coming to light, he had only just learned that they had taken Sierra back only to treat her terribly.

Sienna Everett shook her head. "It’s okay, Grandpa Vance. It’s all in the past."

Hearing her say that, Fabian Vance felt even worse. She had suffered so much, yet she was comforting him instead.

’She’s such a wonderful young woman. How could the Everetts have the heart to hurt her?’

Fabian Vance sighed, his eyes full of affection. "Sierra, have dinner with your grandpa tonight. We can have a proper chat."

"Okay, Grandpa Vance." Sienna couldn’t bring herself to refuse an elder.

After speaking, she subconsciously glanced at Julian Forrester beside her, only to find that he had been watching her. She didn’t know for how long.

Seeing Sienna look over, Julian Forrester’s brow arched slightly, and he gave her hand a secret squeeze.

Sienna’s heart skipped a beat. ’There are other people here...’

Keith Sterling sighed to himself as he listened to Fabian Vance. ’Well, there goes Sierra’s evening. He’s completely booked her for dinner.’

’At least he asked for tonight, and not tomorrow.’

’Tomorrow is the first anniversary of my brother and Sierra getting their marriage certificate. The two of them should definitely be spending it together!’

...

Ophelia Warren returned to her apartment, and her phone rang.

Caller ID: Dunn.

Ophelia Warren answered, "Uncle Dunn."

A middle-aged man’s voice came from the other end of the line, laced with displeasure: "What happened today? Is Sienna Everett that hard to deal with?"

Ophelia Warren’s fingers suddenly tightened on her phone. "Uncle Dunn, I didn’t expect Sienna Everett to be Whisperwind."

"Ophelia, I trust you won’t disappoint me next time." The man on the phone finished, then asked, "Has anyone from the Prescott Family contacted you?"

"No," Ophelia Warren replied.

The man on the phone said, "The Prescotts are likely investigating you to see if you are their long-lost youngest daughter."

Upon hearing this, Ophelia raised a hand to her face. She walked to a mirror and looked at her own eyes and brows, which bore a slight resemblance to Sienna Everett’s. She couldn’t help but close her eyes.

After hanging up with Uncle Dunn, Ophelia Warren took another, somewhat worn-out phone from her cabinet.

After turning it on, she inserted a rarely used SIM card and dialed a number.

Once the other end connected, Ophelia Warren’s tone was cold. "I want you to follow Sienna Everett today, and then teach her a lesson..."

After speaking, Ophelia Warren turned off the old phone again and removed the SIM card.

...

When it was time for dinner, Sienna Everett arrived at the pre-arranged restaurant.

Entering the private room, Fabian Vance had already arrived, along with Moss, who had insisted on coming to dinner no matter what, just to see more of Sienna Everett.

"Grandpa Vance, Mr. Moss." Sienna Everett greeted them.

"Sierra’s here, come sit!" Fabian Vance waved cheerfully.

Sienna Everett walked over and sat down, noticing that besides Fabian Vance and Moss, there was another handsome young man, who looked to be in his twenties, with sharp, good-looking features.

Fabian Vance explained with a smile, "Ah, Sierra, this is my friend’s grandson. His name is Ethan Rivers. He’s always been a big fan of Whisperwind, so I brought him along to meet you!"

Ethan Rivers stood up, a gentle smile gracing his handsome features. "Hello. It’s an honor to finally meet you. So you’re Whisperwind. I’d heard the name Sienna Everett many times before—you’re quite famous. I’ve actually been following your work."

Sienna Everett smiled politely. "Thank you."

Ethan Rivers smiled lightly. "I’ve heard you play the guqin before and I know you’re the composer SG. I didn’t expect you could also paint. You’re truly incredible."

Sienna thought for a moment. ’The only time I played the guqin in public must have been when I performed Nine Provinces on that variety show.’

’I didn’t realize Ethan Rivers had been following me for that long.’

Fabian Vance chuckled. "You two, sit down, don’t just stand there! You can talk while you’re seated!"

Moss watched the scene before him, suddenly remembering a Chinese word he’d learned. He leaned close to Sienna Everett and asked in a low voice, "Sierra, is this what you call a ’blind date’ in Celestria?"

Sienna Everett was drinking water and almost spat it all out!

’A blind date?’

’What is he talking about?!’

Sienna quickly waved her hands, correcting him in a whisper, "It’s not a blind date! We’re just meeting as friends!"

Moss just said, "Oh." He considered his Chinese to be quite good, but Celestria’s culture was vast and profound; there was still so much he hadn’t grasped.

Partway through the meal, Sienna Everett received a text from Keith Sterling.

[Sis-in-law! Sis-in-law! When are you coming back?! I’m at Veridian Gardens right now, and let me secretly tell you, my big bro got you a present~~!]

Sienna blinked. ’Why is Julian giving me another gift?’

[What gift? I haven’t finished dinner yet. I’ll be back later.]

Keith Sterling: [Besides Mr. Vance, is that Moss guy there too?]

Sienna Everett: [Yeah, and a grandson of Grandpa Vance’s.]

Keith Sterling became alert: [What? There’s another man there?]

Sienna Everett: [What’s wrong?]

Keith Sterling: [Is he around your age? Do the elders know each other? Do you even have common interests?]

Sienna Everett: [Yeah, why?]

Keith Sterling exploded: [Sierra, that’s a blatant blind date!]

Sienna Everett: "..."

’Why does everyone think that?’

’How does this look like a blind date at all?!’

Keith Sterling shot up from his seat, looked at Julian Forrester on the sofa, and yelled, "Bro, your wife is on a blind date!"

Julian Forrester: "?"

Keith Sterling: "Bro, do you know which restaurant Sis-in-law is eating at?"

Julian Forrester was already getting up and walking out. "I do."

Sienna Everett had told him before she left.

Keith Sterling hurried to follow him out. Of course he was going with him to find Sierra. "If you ask me, you should have just told Fabian Vance at the exhibition today that you and Sierra are already married!"

...

「The Restaurant」

Sienna Everett picked up her napkin, wiped her mouth, and got up to go to the restroom.

Just as she entered a stall, she suddenly heard a noise outside.

Sienna Everett’s eyes narrowed. She prepared to go out and see, but when she reached out to pull, the stall door wouldn’t open. ℴℴ𝘮

It seemed to have been locked from the outside.

A coldness flashed in Sienna Everett’s eyes, and her expression darkened.

’My phone is back in the private room. I don’t have it on me, so I can’t call anyone.’

Sienna Everett narrowed her eyes, then suddenly lifted her right leg and kicked hard at the door!

The stall door wasn’t sturdy; it flew open easily.

Sienna Everett kicked the door open and searched the restroom, but found no one.

’Who could have locked the door?’

Her expression frosty, Sienna Everett immediately went to the front desk to ask to see the security footage.

As she reached the ground floor lobby, she ran into Julian Forrester and Keith Sterling, who had come looking for her.

Sienna Everett was startled. "What are you two doing here?"

Keith Sterling also froze for a second, then walked toward Sienna Everett. "My brother and I came to find you. Sierra, why weren’t you in the private room?"

Speaking of which, Sienna Everett frowned in confusion. "I just went to the restroom, and someone locked the door. I had to kick it open..."

Before she could finish, Keith Sterling’s expression suddenly changed and he shouted, "Sierra, get out of the way!"

Sienna froze for a split second, not understanding what he meant.

In that brief instant, Julian Forrester had already run in front of her with a grim expression, pulling Sienna Everett into his arms and shielding her with his body.

Almost at the exact moment Julian Forrester embraced her, Sienna Everett heard a loud BANG.

The giant, swaying chandelier on the ceiling suddenly plummeted, crashing heavily onto Julian Forrester...
