Chapter 234: Chapter 234: Secret Identity Exposed
After getting out of the car, Sienna Everett and Keith Sterling briefly spoke with the reporters before stepping into the art gallery.
The entire exhibition hall was elegantly arranged, exuding an artistic ambiance. Framed traditional paintings hung one after another on the walls.
They were all representative works from renowned artists, their masterful brushwork and exquisite technique drawing many to stop and admire them.
Keith Sterling took a quick look around and swiftly came to a conclusion. "Basically, every artist is displaying three to five of their representative works. But from what I’ve seen, Sierra, your paintings are drawing the biggest crowds~~"
As he spoke, Keith Sterling pointed to their right. "Quick, look! Your paintings are in that section! See? The biggest crowd is there admiring them, right? Even those reporters are raising their cameras, frantically taking pictures of your work!"
There was no denying it—Whisperwind’s fame was truly immense.
She single-handedly overshadowed nearly every other artist at the exhibition.
Sienna Everett looked in the direction Keith Sterling was pointing, and her gaze faltered. She was surprised to see Miles Everett.
Keith Sterling tsked in annoyance. "How weird. Why is that Miles Everett guy so obsessed with Whisperwind’s art? His eyes are practically glued to that piece, *Rivers and Mountains Like a Painting*!"
Sienna found it strange, too. ’I never thought Miles would like *Rivers and Mountains Like a Painting* so much.’
Miles Everett stared at the painting on the wall for a long moment. When he finally pulled his eyes away, his gaze shifted and landed on Sienna Everett, who was standing not far off.
Miles Everett’s brow immediately furrowed.
’What is Sienna Everett doing at an art exhibition?’
’Did she come to see the paintings with Keith Sterling?’
"Mr. Everett." Just then, Ophelia Warren approached and greeted Miles Everett in a soft voice. "I saw you’ve been staring at Whisperwind’s *Rivers and Mountains Like a Painting* for a while. You really like it?"
Miles Everett averted his gaze and looked toward Ophelia Warren, nodding. "Yes, I like it a lot. I previously contacted Mr. Fabian Vance, the exhibition organizer, hoping to buy Whisperwind’s *Rivers and Mountains Like a Painting*, but unfortunately, she won’t sell."
Ophelia Warren’s voice was gentle as she offered some comfort. "Perhaps Whisperwind herself is very fond of this painting and can’t bear to sell it. But if she knew the person who wants to buy it is the famous Restorer, Miles Everett, she would probably make an exception for you, don’t you think?"
Miles Everett’s gaze dropped in thought. "I hope so."
Ophelia Warren spotted Sienna Everett in the distance and said to Miles Everett with a smile, "Mr. Everett, your sister is here to see the exhibition, too."
Miles Everett grunted in acknowledgement before calmly correcting her, "She has already severed ties with the Everett Family. She’s not my sister."
’Sienna can look at the paintings if she wants. It’s none of my business.’
’But with her turtle-drawing level of skill, could she even understand such profound traditional art?’
Just then, a group of staff members walked over, flanking Fabian Vance.
Fabian Vance was dressed in a Tang suit. His hair was white, but he was hale and hearty, with a cheerful and amiable air about him.
The surrounding reporters immediately recognized him. He was the organizer of The Azure Art Exhibition!
The reporters immediately raised their cameras.
The only exhibiting artist nearby was Ophelia Warren. Was Fabian Vance here to see her?
But in the next instant, they watched as Fabian Vance walked straight toward Sienna Everett and greeted her with great affection, "Sierra, I’ve been so looking forward to your arrival!"
Sienna Everett smiled politely. "Grandpa Vance, it’s good to see you."
Seeing this, the reporters were stunned. ’Sienna Everett and Fabian Vance... are that close?’
Even Miles Everett and Ophelia Warren were taken aback for a moment.
Fabian Vance chuckled and explained, "For those of you who don’t know, Sierra’s grandfather and I were the dearest of friends. So, you could say that Sierra is like a granddaughter to me!"
The moment he finished speaking, the crowd erupted in an uproar.
The reporters were utterly shocked. ’What? Like his own granddaughter?!’
’That’s Fabian Vance we’re talking about! A titan in the world of traditional painting! The man can casually organize an exhibition and invite numerous famous artists—that’s how much influence he has!’
’And a powerhouse like him is this close with Sienna Everett? Their relationship is that good?’
’Damn, just how many incredible big shots does Sienna Everett know?’
’Her network is just too insane!’
’They’d assumed she was here with Keith Sterling, but looking at it now, it was probably the other way around, wasn’t it?’
Fabian Vance moved closer to Sienna Everett and lowered his voice. "Sierra, I just got a call. Mr. Moss is coming to see your paintings today."
Keith Sterling overheard the name and asked in surprise, "Moss? Isn’t he that famous master of oil painting from Faeloria? He likes traditional Celestran paintings, too?"
Fabian Vance nodded, his voice still low. "Yes. Mr. Moss said he’s a great admirer of Whisperwind’s work. He’s studied it for a long time and feels that traditional Celestran painting has a profound artistic atmosphere. When he heard Whisperwind would be attending today’s exhibition, he flew in overnight, hoping to meet her in person."
Sienna Everett raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Alright. Noted."
Keith Sterling couldn’t help but marvel. ’Sierra, your fame is on another level!’
After speaking with Sienna Everett, Fabian Vance left them for the time being.
Because the two of them were speaking so quietly, the reporters couldn’t make out their words, guessing that Fabian Vance was giving Sienna some sort of instruction.
The exhibition hall was filled with traditional painting enthusiasts, but most of them, of course, were looking around expectantly.
"Where’s Whisperwind?"
"I thought they said Whisperwind would be here? How come we haven’t seen her?"
"Mr. Vance, where is our Master Whisperwind!"
Amidst the chorus of questions, Fabian Vance remained perfectly composed. He raised a hand to stroke his white beard and took on the role of docent himself, selecting a representative piece from each exhibiting artist and offering his commentary.
When he came to Ophelia Warren’s work, Mr. Vance said with a kind expression, "Ophelia’s painting is quite excellent. It’s rare to see such profound skill at such a young age."
"This piece by Ophelia, *Winter Plum Blossom Snow Scene*, also won first prize at the Golden National Painting Competition, correct?"
Ophelia Warren smiled modestly. "Yes, I was very honored."
Hearing this, the crowd of onlookers murmured in admiration.
"The Golden National Painting Competition? That’s the most prestigious traditional painting competition in the country. Winning first prize there shows her skill level is truly high!"
"To achieve so much at such a young age... Ophelia Warren is incredible. Her future is boundless!"
"When it comes to female celebrities in the entertainment industry who can paint, there’s no one better than Ophelia Warren! She’s truly cultured and talented!"
"Hahaha, speaking of female celebrities, I’m reminded of that turtle Sienna Everett drew. She really can’t compare to Ophelia Warren..."
Miles Everett looked at Ophelia Warren, his eyes filled with admiration. Her foundation in traditional painting was truly impressive.
Ophelia Warren’s fans in the crowd swelled with pride upon hearing these compliments from the other attendees.
’So what if their idol isn’t as beautiful as Sienna Everett?’
’Her talent still completely crushes Sienna’s!’
After finishing his commentary on Ophelia Warren’s painting, the surrounding art enthusiasts grew impatient and began to urge him on.
"Mr. Vance, you’ve discussed the works of every other artist except Whisperwind. Are you saving her for the grand finale? Please, hurry up! I came here today specifically for Whisperwind!"
Fabian Vance took a few steps to his right, stopping before Whisperwind’s four paintings. His amiable expression grew more solemn.
"It is the great honor of The Azure Art Exhibition to have been able to invite the master painter, Whisperwind!"
"I believe many traditional art enthusiasts here are great admirers of Whisperwind, and I am no exception."
"And now, we will formally invite Whisperwind to reveal herself and personally explain her works to everyone!"
