Chapter 1836 Interesting Abilities

Chapter 1836 Interesting Abilities

In the secret realm, above the skies of an endless forest.

Grey was oblivious to the fact that he was quite popular with everyone. At the moment, he couldn't even afford to care about something like that.

With a flash, Grey's figure cut through the sky, traveling kilometers in a second. Behind him, multiple whooshing sounds could be heard. Four people were chasing Grey with enraged expressions.

"Little brat, don't let me get my hands on you." One of the chasing figures roared furiously.

Grey acted like he didn't hear a word, focusing solely on escaping. He was a bit annoyed at the moment, if not for Void's misinformation, why would he be running?

His situation wasn't too serious, he knew that escaping from this group was only a matter of time. Carefully evading the attack sent his way by these four, he continued forward. He was steadily increasing the gap between them, and after thirty minutes of continuous escape, he finally managed to shake off the group of four.

After shaking off the group, he dug out an underground tunnel and hid his aura. He didn't forget to hide the signs of the newly dug tunnel. An hour later, a middle-aged man arrived above the place where the underground tunnel was dug, not sensing the presence of Grey, he snorted coldly and flew away.

Another hour went by before Grey crawled out of the tunnel.

"Such a hassle." He shook his head in annoyance.

Void and the bunny leader appeared beside him, with Void staring at him with glowing eyes.

"Hand it over." Void demanded.

"Hand it over my foot! I'm taking it for myself." Grey glared at Void coldly, not willing to give him whatever he requested.

Void didn't back down, a smirk appearing on his face.

Seeing Void's expression, Grey quickly realized he had messed up.

"Damn it!" He hurriedly checked his spatial storage, a strange expression appearing on his face later. This was because Void didn't rush into his spatial storage to steal as he expected.

Bringing his attention back to Void, Grey's expression turned black when he noticed him releasing his aura.

"If they come back I'll hand you over." He threatened coldly.

Void, on the other hand, didn't stop his actions, rather, he became even more bold.

"You…" Grey almost choked from annoyance when he noticed this. Of course he knew what Void was doing, and he didn't want to face that group again. Of the group of four, there was one among them that terrified him.

When he faced off against the group, he initially had the upper hand thanks to his space. With the ability to appear and disappear at will, he managed to suppress three of them at the time as the fourth member wasn't with them. Just as the trio were losing hope, the last person arrived. The last person was an Eighth stage Sovereign, a minor cultivation stage weaker than the trio he was previously entangled with. What made this person terrify Grey isn't due to his strength, rather, for some reason, this person has the ability to lock down the surrounding space.

The Eighth stage Sovereign's ice domain was able to completely nullify Grey's use of the space element. Grey didn't intend to fight a life and death battle with the group, so he retreated after figuring out he couldn't toy with them again. He had already acquired what he wanted, so there was no reason to stay back.

The reason he refused Void's request was because if the latter, who was on lookout duty hadn't told him there were only three Eighth stage Sovereigns who all turned out to be Ninth stage Sovereigns, he would've quickly made a break for it instead of choosing to scare them away with his strength. Unfortunately for him, there was no way for him to overpower three Ninth stage Sovereigns if he didn't intend to kill. Even if the fourth member of the group never arrived, he would've still retreated. But the fourth person not only showed up out of the blue, but he also managed to make it difficult for him to use his space element.

Although Grey was helpless against this person, Void and the bunny leader weren't affected. From what Grey could tell, it was most likely due to their superior ability with the space element. If this group surrounds him, he will be forced to flee once again.

Gritting his teeth, he took out a small coin from his spatial storage and tossed it over to Void.

"Thank you." Void happily caught the coin, keeping it in his spatial storage.

The bunny leader looked at Void in disgust, not entirely sure why he would go through so much hassle for a coin Grey found while exploring the place where the treasure was found. The coin wasn't anything special, but it gave off a brilliant glow if fire elemental essence was infused in it.

The bunny leader has grown to know about Void's obsession with shiny things. No matter what angle he saw it from, it was nothing but a worthless coin.

Grey didn't continue with Void, looking at his surroundings, he randomly picked a direction and flew off.

While flying, he didn't forget to continue his search. After leaving the abandoned Manor, it has been five months now. He had been exploring this secret realm over the past five months and had found a lot of interesting things. Not just interesting things, but interesting people too. The Eighth stage Sovereign who could stop his use of the space element can be added to that list.

Over the past five months, he had actually managed to find two more beast cores like the ones he found in the McCall and abandoned Manors respectively. The additional two were also found in abandoned Manors. If Grey's guess was right, the McCall Family would've most likely ended like this. Finding two more filled him with hope that he might be able to get to the root of the matter. But it has been three months since he found the last one, and since then he hasn't seen a trace of it anywhere else.
