The light-refracting figure vanished once more, turning completely invisible. Occasional sparks burst through the air as Hidden Streamer struck again. His swiping steel claws suppressed the two Superpower Team leaders so heavily that they couldn’t afford a single moment of distraction. Even an Armored Transformer at the Exploration Level found it incredibly difficult to launch a counterattack.

"Is the Dark Web getting involved in this too?" Special Commissioner Liu demanded, fighting back her anger as she sought an answer.

However, Hidden Streamer didn’t reply. Instead, Tyler spoke up again from the cliff. "The Dark Web operates solely for profit.

As his mocking laughter faded, Special Commissioner Liu’s heart sank. She hadn’t expected the Rebels to actually place a bounty on them, hiring a Dark Web assassin to do the dirty work.

In just a few minutes, the assault team was completely at a disadvantage, the scales of victory tipping steadily toward the Rebels.

Standing protectively in front of Gao Hu and the others, Yao Jin coughed up blood and stumbled back once more. His combat suit was riddled with slash marks from the steel claws, and the arm tightly gripping the Silver Moon longsword trembled uncontrollably. The other Armored Transformer teaming up with him also wore a grave expression, continuously sweeping his gaze over their surroundings, acutely aware of just how difficult Hidden Streamer was to deal with.

The combination of an invisibility superpower and Peak Exploration Level strength posed an immense threat. Every time the assassin flickered, a lethal strike followed instantly. Seeing this, Special Commissioner Liu, Yao Jin, and the others were horrified and enraged. They wanted to intervene but couldn’t even step forward.

A fist tore through the air. Tyler wore a cold sneer, descending upon him like the grim reaper.

"D-Don’t kill me!" Li Xiyuan suddenly began to struggle frantically, erupting with an intense desire to live. "I-I know some intel... Let... let me go."

The fact that he was actually begging for mercy made everyone’s expression change. Special Commissioner Liu froze in place, and Yao Jin and the others widened their eyes as if seeing him for the first time.

Being the closest, Tyler was splashed in the face with blood. His eyes filled with shock and fury as he hurriedly looked up at the top of the rear mountain’s cliff.

Amidst the rippling shockwaves of the battlefield’s artillery fire, a figure in a black trench coat stood there. His features were cold and hard, like a legend from the old era. His right hand, which had just flicked the iron shard, slowly dropped to his side as he looked down upon everyone present.

His indifferent gaze first swept over Li Xiyuan’s headless body, then moved on to Tyler and the other Rebel members, and finally landed on Yao Jin and the others, who had been pushed to the brink of despair.

Ultimately, his gaze came to a halt on an empty patch of ground. It was as if he could peer straight through the refracting light and the seemingly ordinary wilderness to see that invisible figure.
