Uniformed security guards stood watch at the iron gates of the plaza entrance and near the revolving doors to the hotel’s first-floor lobby.

Well-dressed people could be seen coming and going, checking into the hotel, with dedicated staff helping them with their luggage.

It looked just like any other high-end luxury hotel, with nothing out of the ordinary.

But...

"The Dark Web’s branch."

Lu Chao stood on the roadside across the street from the hotel, quietly expanding his Life Sensing.

A three-dimensional map materialized in his mind, and he saw countless green dots of light, each symbolizing a magnetic field.

Over a hundred combatants, dozens of Elite Level experts...

He even sensed three Superpower Level auras, one of which was at the Exploration Level.

’They really know how to keep a low profile.’

He thought to himself, knowing full well that these Life Magnetic Fields didn’t just belong to the Platinum Hotel’s security.

They also included Dark Web assassins who were here to complete contracts and collect their rewards.

On the surface, the Platinum Hotel was just a large hotel chain within the Alliance Country.

But in reality, it was the true location of a Dark Web branch.

Some black market transactions were completed here, and certain Dark Web contracts could be posted and settled offline at this location.

With this in mind, Lu Chao strode across the road and approached the hotel.

As he did, he sensed dozens of prying eyes on him.

Some came from inside cars parked on the street, others from "passersby" feigning normalcy as they sat on public benches.

’The Tan family, huh...’

’And scouts from the patrol teams and other factions?’

The visualized Crimson Fire sun spun continuously in his mind, bolstering his spirit.

Lu Chao clearly perceived the source of every gaze.

Some were cold and malicious, some were suspicious and curious, and others were just the casual glances of onlookers.

He knew these people were lying in wait, searching for the Celestial Hunter.

The appearance of the Dark Web’s former number one assassin in the Red Maple City Circle was something no one could afford to ignore.

What’s more, as he walked toward the hotel entrance, he noticed bullet marks on the ground and the fountain’s planters.

The Tan family and the Dark Web had already had a clash in private.

Although he didn’t know the outcome, it was obvious the conflict between the two sides was far from over.

TAP TAP.

Suppressing these thoughts, Lu Chao passed through the revolving doors and entered the hotel.

The first-floor lobby was filled with sofas and armchairs. An exquisite, brilliant chandelier cast a soft glow, blending with the numerous wall sconces to illuminate the entire hall.

In the vast space, hundreds of meters wide, dozens of people were scattered across the various seating areas. Some were scrolling through news on their communicators, others were stirring their coffee. As he entered, they turned to look at him one after another.

Appraising, curious, indifferent...

Among them were hotel guests, scouts from other factions, and true assassins hiding in plain sight.

Lu Chao feigned indifference, paying them no mind.

He simply walked straight to the front desk.

"Sir, are you here to check in?"

"Third floor, 303. 4 p.m. this afternoon until 10 a.m. tomorrow. I have a reservation."

Lu Chao recited the code phrase for a Dark Web transaction. The female receptionist’s eyes flickered, and she nodded slightly.

With a glance, she said, "Please follow me."

An Elite Level bruiser in a suit appeared almost immediately. After giving Lu Chao a quick once-over, he led him away.

A few moments later, the sensation of being watched was blocked by the elevator doors.

Lu Chao arrived at the second basement level of the Platinum Hotel.

A corridor stretched out before him. The walls were painted white, and incandescent light tubes on the ceiling cast a stark glare.

At the end of the corridor was a room with a sign that read "Manager’s Office." Its red wooden door was shut tight.

CLICK!

Just then, the door was suddenly pulled open, and a figure emerged.

He shouldn’t have paid it any mind.

But Lu Chao’s gaze froze.

He looked over to see that the person was wearing a black trench coat and a Raccoon Cat mask.
