Chapter 607 - 606: Invited the devil
Chapter 607: Chapter 606: Invited the devil
"That is the name... What do you need?"
Void asked as his expression turned cold.
Ancestor Fu’s expression changed rapidly before eventually becoming neutral.
"You killed a Saint."
"And I will do it again. What do you want? Should I add you to the list?"
Void asked.
"I’ve heard enough," Ancestor Fu spoke.
Boom!
Boom!
Realities smashed together as one Rank 4 being after another touched their noses.
Blood.
They were actually bleeding.
And keep in mind, this was only the aftermath of the previous attack.
As for Void, he remained standing at eye level with Ancestor Fu.
The two cosmic giants stared at each other.
Ancestor Fu snorted before raising his fist.
He clenched it.
The light sources throughout the Upper Realm went out.
From stars to burning flames, everything that contained light seemed to shut off as though someone had flipped a switch.
Only a single source of energy remained.
All that light converged toward Ancestor Fu’s palm.
He clenched his hand into a fist as the light flowed around it.
Then...
He punched out.
Bang!
A sudden, sharp sound rang out.
Then the light returned, allowing everyone to see once more.
Void was still standing exactly where he had been.
Meanwhile, Ancestor Fu had been sent thousands of Mu away.
His expression changed.
"This... this is impossible, right?"
"How...? What did he do?"
The experts were completely stunned.
How was this possible?
Meanwhile, Void laughed, clearly enjoying the show.
You wouldn’t have thought he would grow so strong right?
Void’s realm hadn’t increased exponentially.
But his Authority had.
Having existed in this world for so long and essentially becoming integrated into it, his history had turned from something fake into reality.
Of course, Ancestor Fu and the other Peak-Level Rank 4 beings had prepared for this.
They had cut off every possible avenue through which Void could steal the Authority of this world.
But alas, Void wasn’t an inhabitant of this realm.
Logically, he couldn’t steal the realm’s Authority.
But what he could do was turn the fake into reality.
Anything a Rank 4 being thought or said could be transformed from something unreal into reality.
So what happened when a Rank 4 being harnessed a position of ultimate power and then fed on the fear and belief of an astronomical number of creatures, including other Rank 4 beings?
Then, even if Void was technically only a High-Level Rank 4...
According to what the inhabitants of the realm believed, he was capable of standing toe-to-toe with the ten Ancient Saints.
Which meant Void should be far beyond an ordinary High-Level Rank 4.
He was approaching Quasi-Rank 5...
A realm that allowed him to access Rules.
This was similar to how gods turned belief into divine power, but it was even stronger.
You didn’t necessarily have to believe.
Your fear was enough.
Void had even enhanced it.
As long as he was known, this would become the truth.
And that was the first glimpse of what Rules truly were.
If I say this is how things are...
Then, by using Rules, things would have to abide by that statement, no matter how much they tried to resist or twist their original nature.
To top it off, the Ancient Saints didn’t know this yet, but Ire had been stripping away this realm’s Authority for millions of years.
She had merged with the Realm Consciousness and fooled it into believing that she and the realm were one.
Although she only possessed a small percentage of its Authority, as long as the conflict between the Chosen One and Keith continued...
The climax would be their chance.
As for now...
Void needed to pave a way for Keith after all, Keith needed to survive.
"How... how did this happen?"
Ancestor Fu thought, his eyes narrowing.
He could still sense Void’s strength.
Even after all those years, Void was still only at High-Level Rank 4.
And he was nowhere close to the Peak of Rank 4.
But how?
How could he possibly be this powerful?
At this moment, Ancestor Fu looked at his fist.
A small cut could be seen on it.
He was injured.
Who exactly was this Osiris?
Had he allowed such a devastating being into his realm?
Had he made a mistake by keeping Void in this realm?
Had he invited the devil himself to destroy them all?
"Return."
Void’s voice was calm.
"Or do you want to start the Dark Age early?"
Ancestor Fu frowned.
The onlookers felt their hearts tremble.
Were they actually hearing something they shouldn’t?
What the hell was the Dark Age?
They felt as though they had stumbled upon an ancient secret.
And Ancestor Fu’s reaction only confirmed it.
He turned around and actually left.
The Great Demon Ancestor returned to Purgatory.
But what happened today could never be forgotten.
The powerhouses immediately sent the news back, and soon, everyone began searching for information about the Dark Age.
Meanwhile, even the Rank 4 beings were uneasy.
Although Rank 4 seemed like an enormous leap in a being’s strength, allowing one to control Origins and destroy a multiverse with nothing more than a word, there was still a massive gap between Peak-Level Rank 4 beings and the other levels.
An example was how Ancestor Fu had made all Rank 4 beings, whether Early-Level or High-Level Rank 4, bleed from the aftermath of his attack.
At this moment, Dimensional Lords(Rank 3 beings)sent word to their inhabitants as they too searched for information about this Dark Age.
Meanwhile, back in the Mortal Realm...
Leon slowly stood up.
His memories were blank, and his vision remained foggy for a while.
Then, everything came back.
"System... System, are you there?"
Leon called out in fear.
If he had lost the System, wouldn’t he be doomed?
He couldn’t grow stronger naturally.
The System was the only way he could do so.
(Here.)
Leon only calmed down after hearing the System’s voice.
He then looked up and saw a weakened Keith in his demon form, barely flying through the air.
"You..."
Anger surged through Leon.
He knew he had almost lost his System because of the being behind Keith.
He didn’t know why that being had stopped.
Maybe the System had somehow helped him.
But what he did know was that he and that being had now become enemies in a battle to the death.
And the only thing he could do now was eliminate Keith.
Boom!
The upper crust of the Mortal Realm shattered as Leon grabbed Keith by the collarbone.
Bang!
Keith was smashed into the sky as space seemed to turn solid before shattering instantly.
Leon appeared again and delivered another punch.
Keith crashed into a mountain.
Boom!
The mountain shook violently as large boulders came tumbling down.
Keith was perched within the mountain as well, his breathing weak as a terrifying aura approached.
He wanted to move.
He could sense the dreadful feeling of death approaching.
But his body seemed to have gone completely out of his control.
At this moment, his cells seemed to have turned into a desert as his blood appeared to dry up.
Bang!
A punch struck his face.
His skull cracked apart.
Leon clenched his other fist.
Bam!
Another punch.
Bam!
Then another.
Each strike dissipated into the surroundings as massive shockwaves spread outward.
Then the sound traveled.
Bang!
Sound waves mixed with the shockwaves as everyone still alive in the Mortal Realm heard the deafening impacts.
