Chapter 599: Chapter 598: Let me help

Far away, in another region of the Fitel...

This was where Void’s universe was.

Ever since Sun Waking had left, this universe had been left without a protector. It was only a matter of time before it was attacked.

At this moment, two marbles could be seen merging together in space.

One of them was Void’s universe, while the other was an invading universe.

Both universes contained humans, so they had a common trait, but their histories were completely different.

In Void’s universe, two races controlled everything.

One was the human race.

The second was the Void Race, a race created by Void himself.

They were worshipped as ancient creatures and had been asleep after a great war in the past.

Now, the humans were left on their own to defend against an equally powerful universe.

The pathway between the two universes had become a devastating battleground.

Dead planets floated through the dark expanse of space, while the corpses of giant beasts and various destroyed structures could be seen everywhere.

At this moment, the battle was intense.

The humans from Void’s universe charged toward the opposing Beast Tamers, who controlled Star Beasts to attack them.

Space broke apart as corpses filled the area.

But just then, the Star Beasts quivered.

They roared in fear and began backing away.

The top powerhouses were stunned.

They knew something was wrong.

They looked around, trying to figure out what was happening.

But they didn’t have to look for long.

A terrifying occurrence appeared before them.

A giant palm emerged from the deepest layers of space.

Then, it grabbed the entirety of Void’s universe.

The palm quickly sank back into the depths of space, taking the universe with it.

Shock, confusion, and disbelief appeared on the Beast Tamers’ faces as they stood rooted to the spot, staring at the empty space where an entire universe had once been.

Their universe also released its crystal wall to cover the gap created by the pathway between the two universes.

"Did... did I just see a hand grab their universe?"

A Peak Rank 2 Beast Tamer—the strongest individual in the universe—spoke with disbelief.

Only now did he understand why his Nine-Golden-Clawed Dragon had been afraid.

What kind of power was required to capture an entire universe?

Should they consider themselves lucky?

And so, the war was abruptly brought to an end by a giant hand.

Back in the Abyss...

The Sixth Layer of Space slowly closed as Void opened his palm.

Inside it was a marble.

"This is the universe I created when I was at Rank 3," Void said with a smile, shocking Alayot.

"And within it is the race I called the ’Void Race.’ They have been left alone for millions of years, or perhaps even longer, to evolve on their own.

"I hope you can study them and then try once again. You should be able to break through this time."

Void smiled as Alayot’s eyes widened.

Really?

Then he understood the implications of Void’s words.

It wasn’t that Alayot couldn’t simply grab a random universe to study.

A universe naturally created by the Fitel and the Plane of Consciousness was fundamentally different from a universe created by a powerful being.

And to top it off, a thriving universe with millions of years of history was exactly what Alayot needed.

With this, he could refine his Soul Origin and actually observe how a race evolved over the course of millions of years.

How had they survived several world-ending calamities?

How had they evolved to match their environment?

What particular traits did this race possess that allowed them to survive?

These were the answers Alayot needed.

Void handed the marble to Alayot, who carefully accepted it.

"Thank you, Master," Alayot said with a smile.

Void nodded before returning to meditation, allowing Alayot to remain with him.

Alayot was grateful.

After all, around Void were fully mastered Laws and an even greater mastery of Origins.

Even his Soul Origin was more refined than Alayot’s.

Basically, staying here would greatly boost his research and studies.

Very soon, he would be able to create the perfect mechanical race and finally break through to Rank 4.

Back at the Kuba Realm...

Keith and Kiro finished the trial as they reached a wide, raised platform.

At this moment, inside the grand room, a soul appeared.

"Congratulations on passing the trials," the soul began.

At this point, Keith had already reached Peak Rank 0, while Kiro wasn’t too far behind.

The two had gained a lot through the trials, and they were grateful for everything they had received.

Now that the trials were complete, however, what came next?

"You have been granted full access to our civilization’s treasury and resources. We only hope that you don’t allow our civilization to die."

With that, the soul disintegrated.

The room trembled, and the platform opened up.

Kiro looked at Keith.

Keith nodded.

The two walked toward the opening and saw a staircase leading downward.

They entered.

The torches planted along the walls lit up one after another as they descended.

The pathway was narrow, allowing only one person to pass at a time, so Keith went ahead while Kiro followed behind.

Soon enough, the path widened.

They entered a secret realm.

But the moment they did—

Kiro broke through to Peak Rank 0.

The dense amount of energy in the area nearly overwhelmed them, forcing the two to hurriedly sit down and begin absorbing it.

Herbs capable of turning even a pig into a Rank 0 being could be seen everywhere.

But that wasn’t all.

There were pills capable of enhancing the strength of Rank 1 beings, and even resources that could affect realms above that.

It could be seen that this civilization had once been glorious during its golden age.

At the very least, it should have been a Rank 3 civilization, or perhaps even Rank 4.

Sadly, many of the pills and herbs had been destroyed during whatever catastrophe had befallen the civilization.

They could only hurriedly preserve the remaining herbs and pills suitable for Rank 1 and Rank 2 beings.

There was also a giant pool containing body-refining water.

A single dip would wash away the impurities from Keith and Kiro’s bodies, allowing them to absorb energy much more effectively.

With enough time, Keith and Kiro would be able to safely reach at least Rank 1 before leaving.

For this, they were incredibly happy that they had fallen into the unstable space.

Yes, it could have turned out horribly for them.

But instead, it had given them an opportunity they had never expected.
