Abyss Tree Evolution: A Mission to Conquer the World
Chapter 187: The Auction
"Have I been talking to an Immortal this entire time!"
Dalia noticed Vaelor’s astonishment and smiled, then quickly asked him, "So, Lord Vaelor, is there a specific place you want to go, or would you like me to introduce you to the Eternal Night Heaven!"
Dalia did not immediately begin the introduction, as she had noticed that Vaelor knew about the Assistants and their ranks, so he most likely knew more things about the Eternal Night Heaven and perhaps had come here with a specific destination in mind.
"Yes, we will go to the Red Lotus Palace first." Vaelor nodded and said cautiously, carefully watching his actions in front of this Immortal.
It was true that she could not harm him here and had no intention of doing so anyway, but the idea of being in the same place with an Immortal remained unsettling!
Dalia noticed Vaelor’s concern but did not comment and went directly to the important matter. "Do you have something you want to buy from there? If that’s the case, you can tell me, and perhaps I can find better places for you that sell better quality at a better price!"
"No, it isn’t like that. It’s just that one of my subordinates made a deal with them several months ago, and I want to change the course of that deal!" Vaelor waved his hand and looked toward Dalia, his eyes flashing beneath the mask. "Perhaps you already know that subordinate of mine!"
"Oh! Is there something like that?" Dalia raised an eyebrow and looked toward Vaelor suspiciously. "Why don’t you tell me the name of this subordinate so I can see whether I really know him or not. Even if I don’t, I have access to the Eternal Night Heaven’s database, and it will only take me a few seconds to obtain all the available information about him!"
Vaelor furrowed his brows upon hearing this and said, "He had Immortal talent toward the cosmic Law of Life, and his name was Ozir. You were responsible for his affairs in the Central Palace, and the last time he came here was six months ago!"
Central Palace = Palace of the Immortal Eternal Night Empire
Dalia furrowed her brows for a few seconds, then opened her eyes and smiled. "I remember him now. He was that young man who had the Golden Assistant Lily as his personal assistant." Dalia remembered her recent dealings and looked toward Vaelor...
"Is that why you were surprised to see me even though we had never met before!"
"Yes!" Vaelor nodded with a smile. He could not say that Ozir was one of his fake identities, but he needed to connect him to himself as soon as possible because of the dealings he would be conducting in the near future!
"Alright, Lord Vaelor, is there anything else you want to know or do before we leave?" Dalia asked before using teleportation.
"No, let’s go now." Vaelor shook his head in refusal.
"As you wish!"
Vaelor’s and Dalia’s bodies quickly faded, and within moments they appeared before the Red Lotus Palace, which was a brilliant white color and decorated with hundreds of sculptures and engravings of red lotus flowers!
Thousands entered and exited every moment, but strangely, not a single one of them even turned toward the sudden appearance of Vaelor and Dalia!
When Rios had first come here using Azar’s identity and with Lily, the Golden Assistant, the moment they appeared, they immediately attracted a great deal of attention. But now, despite wearing extremely eye-catching clothes and having a Dream Assistant, no one even bothered to give him a glance!
"I thought I would attract a lot of attention with these clothes and my Dream Assistant!" Vaelor looked around, then turned toward Dalia and asked in astonishment!
"That’s because they don’t see you as you really are!" Dalia placed the back of her hand over her mouth and laughed casually.
"What do you mean by that?" Vaelor raised an eyebrow beneath the mask and immediately asked.
"I mean that no one can see me except you, and as for your imposing appearance, no one can see that either. All they see is just an ordinary human with ordinary features!" Dalia mocked and continued, "Of course, you can disable this feature or make it so that only specific people can see you in this form!"
"Oh! So that’s how it is!" Vaelor nodded in understanding, then looked toward the palace gate. "Then let’s go!"
Vaelor moved forward with Dalia behind him, and they soon entered the palace.
Vaelor was greeted by the familiar scene that had greeted Rios when he first entered here.
The towering pillars, majestic statues, breathtaking fountains, lotus flower engravings spread everywhere, display screens that everyone could see wherever they looked, and reception desks scattered among all of this.
It was a beautiful combination of civilization and technology.
Vaelor looked at the magnificent sight before him, then furrowed his brows upon seeing the display screens and turned toward Dalia. "It seems the Immortal Auction is getting very close!"
Of course, Vaelor knew about the Immortal Auction held by the Eternal Night Heaven once every million years.
With all these advertisements and announcements that everyone saw everywhere they went in the Eternal Night Heaven, in addition to all those notifications the Eternal Night Heaven sent to everyone who possessed an Assistant, it would have been strange if Vaelor had no idea about it.
Over the past six months, he had received nearly a hundred notifications about it on his fake identity, Ozir’s, account.
"Certainly, Lord Vaelor. There are less than two months remaining!" Dalia nodded with a smile, then looked at Vaelor intently. "Would you like to participate in it, Lord Vaelor, or what?"
Faced with this question, Vaelor smiled from beneath the mask. "What do you think? Have you participated in it before?"
"Hahaha, you must be joking, Lord Vaelor. It only happens once every million years. Even if my lifespan were multiplied dozens of times, I wouldn’t have participated in it before!" Dalia spoke and seemed to be barely restraining herself. She wanted to tear Vaelor apart at this moment, but she stopped herself from doing so.
"Mm!" Vaelor nodded and suddenly felt that the air around him had become cold, but he quickly ignored it, held his chin, and thought for some time.
When he finished thinking, he looked toward Dalia again...
"I know I’m late, but can I put something into that auction!"
