Chapter 705: The First Crippled Dragon Academy - 2

"Holy shit, they are tough!" Uraan shouted over the mental link, holding his dislocated shoulder.

Uraan had struck across the dragon's abdomen with his sword, the tremendous force boosted by his falcon's aerial run-up. The fact that his sword couldn't slice cleanly caused much of the force to rebound back through his arm, immediately dislocating his shoulder.

At that moment, Thalvyr came flying on Agnivar's back.

From a distance, Thalvyr jumped from Agni's back toward the disoriented dragon.

His spear burst into flames as he used another burst of flames to boost his flight, shooting forward to land on the dragon's back with an arc—the spear already digging deep.

GRRRAAAHHH!

The dragon roared and shook his body, trying to throw Thalvyr away. But Thalvyr held onto the embedded spear to balance himself, digging it deeper while applying force to the shaft.

The draconic pressure was indeed difficult for Thalvyr to handle as a being belonging to the line of lower draconic beings, but he persisted. He covered both his fists in raging flames while his muscles thickened due to some enhancement skill, then—

Smash!

One punch landed on the tip of the embedded spear, driving it deeper, followed by a second punch right into the scaly back, cracking several scales. The dragon jerked sharply and finally threw Thalvyr away.

But Thalvyr surprisingly used a counter blast mid-air to throw himself back, grabbed hold of some scales, and used his physical power to jump toward the dragon's face.

THUMP!

The dragon's head jerked up from the punch, but since the force behind it wasn't great due to his improper posture, the damage was minimal.

When the dragon spotted who it was, his eyes filled with rage.

"A SLAVE DARES?!" he roared, opening his mouth wide to curse at him and breathe red flames.

"Thalvyr—get away!" Lily's voice rang through the communication channel.

Thalvyr completely disregarded the insult as if he hadn't even heard it and got a firm hold of the sharp, long canines of the dragon who had opened his mouth.

Then he pulled himself up, followed by another flame blast right inside the dragon's mouth that threw him a distance away.

Crackle—Crack!

The next second, [Black Lightning], combined with Kaelion and Skyreaver's normal lightning, slammed down on the dragon. Well, not technically on him, but on the embedded metal spear on his back, which directly transmitted the shock through his body and paralysed him.

The dragon's body shuddered terribly as the next black lightning teleported him away while Thalvyr's spear started to fall freely.

Thalvyr, who himself was mid-fall, managed to reach the spear's location with another flame burst mid-flight and got hold of it. Then, at the right moment, he grabbed hold of Agnivar's claws, who reached his location, and made himself sit back on Agnivar.

"Great, I never expected you to be so brave. Even I needed to think twice before coming," Agnivar praised.

Below, Leo had just finished pushing Ignivorax down toward the acid lake with an extremely high-pressure water jet.

But before Igni could even hit the water, Hydra lunged out of the water and clamped its massive jaws across the dragon's abdomen, then dove back with a majestic arc, dragging him below the lake as if going to eat its prey.

Leo was sure the hydra must use this technique to hunt in his previous life.

Ignivorax's wide eyes slowly started to turn panicked and frightened while sinking down the acid lake—a sight that Leo, as well as the audience across the 3 Empires, wouldn't forget.

"HELL YEAHHHH!!!!"

"SHOW THEM THEIR PLACE!!"

"Aurelius Beast Academy is the best academy for me from now on!!"

"Did you see that lizardman and wyvern at the end? So fucking cool!"

"Man, leave those! What was that wolf that ran on empty air and dragged that dragon up the clouds?! Damn! That thing deserves its own title!"

The crowd in the stadium, as well as around the Human Empire, was going crazy after seeing the Aurelius Beast Academy students defeat the 5 dragons.

Even the elves seemed excited seeing it, but they felt a bit conflicted due to the fact that the same academy had taken out their own 3rd-ranked academy.

Though many unbothered individuals cheered simply for the pure bliss of seeing the dragons being thrashed around.

Nonetheless, there were the dragons who were barely holding things together.

In the Emperor's chamber, Aurex had a long face as he watched the scene.

Never had he thought that members of his race would be stupid enough to charge into a well-built stronghold without their full force.

"Must have gotten a bit arrogant due to no challenge till now..." he muttered, trying to recover some lost dignity.

"A bit?" Cyrandel said with a side-eye, clearly mocking him to pay him back for all the mockery he had thrown at her previously.

Aurex sneered at her.

"What are you getting so happy for? It wasn't some elf that defeated them."

Cyrandel scoffed.

"That's my niece you are seeing in action, and the 1st ranker is her chosen man. Of course I will be proud."

Though her initial thoughts about Leo hadn't been exactly kind, the 5 months of exposure to Leo and Lily had been enough for Cyrandel to gauge Leo's personality.

Plus, there were those secret reports from Aina, Mira, and Sylva—which somehow bypassed the mana contract clauses that Leo had made them sign due to Cyrandel's Emperor authority—that established Leo as an upright man.

Needless to say, she viewed Leo as someone suited for Lily now.

Aurex was taken aback by the sudden news.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

When Cyrandel and Louis explained the situation, Aurex fell into contemplation.

He then looked toward Cyrandel.

"I think some god had already decided to help your race, because if what you are saying is true, then congrats. The Elves have their own representative."

When Cyrandel and Louis heard him, both of their eyes sharpened.

"What do you mean?" they both asked simultaneously, throwing his previous question back at him.

"I mean... if this human boy, Leo, is what we think he is, then there's a high chance that that girl might end up being the same."

Seeing the confused expressions on their faces, he chuckled. Then he lazily lounged back in his seat, leaning to the side.

"I talked enough for the information revealed to me." Saying that, he started to whistle.

Cyrandel and Louis both clicked their tongues and handed him 1 high-grade natural treasure each. This greedy dragon was always looking for an opportunity to fatten up his treasury.

"Oh? [Voidwind Feather] and [Eternal Spring Flower]?" He looked up at them.

"This is interesting... so they are that important to you, huh? This extravagant payment must be so that I don't talk about it elsewhere. Well, I can never know enough when our World Core isn't desperate like yours." Aurex stretched and cracked his neck.
