Chapter 3028 - 3029: Return After Departure

Chapter 3028: Chapter 3029: Return After Departure

Bai Ruozhu frowned, suddenly recalling that the Astrologer occasionally seemed conflicted before. She had thought at the time it was because Ao Song had feelings for Sangta, making the Astrologer feel hopelessly conflicted. Now thinking about it, the Astrologer had never mentioned his own situation.

But the Patriarch of the Astrologer Family also married and had children, why can’t he?

No, he spoke of feeling emotional!

This kind of thing is difficult to change in a short time. Bai Ruozhu thought for a moment and said, "You’ve just woken up; don’t rush to remember everything, take your time."

Ao Song’s heart was also greatly shaken, he agreed, "Mm, no rush."

Bai Ruozhu stood up and said, "I have other things to do, so I’ll take my leave. Ao Song, look after the Astrologer a bit more."

She discreetly nodded towards Ao Song, it would be tough for Ao Song.

She had already noticed that Ao Song had fallen for the Astrologer, whether moved or genuinely affectionate, there was no need to distinguish so meticulously.

But just as Ao Song started to invest, the Astrologer turned cold, Ao Song’s mood must be quite uneasy.

She left with a slight sigh, and upon exiting Ao Song’s yard, she saw the long-waiting Madam Zhong.

Madam Zhong’s eyes were slightly red, she appeared to have been crying again, being a parent isn’t easy. Bai Ruozhu thought if she had a daughter now, she would surely be heartbroken too.

"Ruozhu, what did he say?"

"Give them some time, don’t be too anxious, we are outsiders after all. If we meddle too much, it will only make them uncomfortable." Bai Ruozhu gently persuaded, she was truly worried that Madam Zhong might blame the Astrologer out of concern for her daughter, which would definitely make the Astrologer more resistant against Ao Song given his current situation.

"I understand, it’s hard for that Astrologer child too, he nearly lost his life for Ao Song." Madam Zhong was reasonable, which made Bai Ruozhu breathe a sigh of relief.

But then Madam Zhong’s tone shifted, worryingly asking, "I can tell he isn’t someone who can be easily manipulated, what if he doesn’t remember and doesn’t want to live with Ao Song?"

"I think the Astrologer isn’t someone who shirks responsibility." Bai Ruozhu pondered, if worse comes to worst, perhaps just consummating their marriage might help; isn’t there a saying that feelings develop after sleeping together? Although such a method is somewhat underhanded.

While she was talking to Madam Zhong, a messenger beside Madam Zhong reported, "Madam, the Barbarian Clan king has come again, the Patriarch asks Miss if she wants to let him in."

Madam Zhong immediately looked at Bai Ruozhu, but remembering that Bai Ruozhu and the Astrologer’s brother were disciples under the same master, she felt slightly ashamed.

"Ruozhu, don’t mind, Songsong liked Sangta before, I didn’t agree with it, but under those circumstances, as a mother, I had to be a little selfish." Madam Zhong said.

"I understand, but now Ao Song and the Astrologer are already married, you must not entertain any other thoughts." Bai Ruozhu wasn’t polite this time, directly reminding her.

Madam Zhong’s face flushed, "No, no, I’m not that unreasonable, not to mention Songsong and the Astrologer have a marriage contract, witnessed by heaven and earth, how could we look for someone else?"

Bai Ruozhu smiled at her, "I’d better go take a look, I’ve known Sangta for quite a while, if he’s returned, even if we don’t let him in, he’ll find a way to break in."

Sure enough, Ao Song really didn’t agree to let Sangta in, but Sangta brought congratulatory gifts, saying he was there to congratulate them. This put Zhong Kui in an awkward position, and Sangta took the opportunity to lead people into the Zhong Family, running into Bai Ruozhu who was on her way.

"Ruozhu, we’ve been friends, are you really going to break ties with me?" Sangta asked angrily.
