Abandoned Woman Busy Farming
Chapter 3001 - 3002: Life for Life
Chapter 3001: Chapter 3002: Life for Life
They even called themselves a family, after all, Bai Ruozhu learned the National Master’s magic techniques from the Zhong Family.
The two went from being polite acquaintances to becoming good friends and close sisters. Bai Ruozhu cared for her like she was her own younger sister, worrying about her relationships and hoping she would find happiness. But now, she lay in the arms of the astrologer, covered in blood, with her breath growing weaker.
Bai Ruozhu, despite her extensive medical skills, could not stop her bleeding.
"Why? Why can’t I stop the bleeding? What’s the use of studying medicine?" Bai Ruozhu cried out in anguish.
Jiang Yichun grabbed her hand, "Stop with the needles, it’s backlash, backlash! No medical skill can stop it."
"No, I have to try, there must be a way." Bai Ruozhu shook off his hand and began quickly applying needles again, her hands trembling fiercely.
Jiang Yichun couldn’t bear to watch, his eyes reddening. Ruozhu was deeply emotional, and with Ao Song’s precarious situation, it was sure to be a huge blow to her.
At that moment, the astrologer laid Ao Song down on the ground, taking out a folded purple hexagram star from his bosom.
As soon as he brought it out, it instantly drew everyone’s attention because it carried a very special aura, as if imbued with some mysterious power.
"What is that?" Bai Ruozhu had a bad premonition and hurriedly asked.
"To save her," the astrologer uttered just two words.
He threw the purple hexagram star onto Ao Song’s forehead, pointed to his own forehead with one hand, and began chanting an incantation.
Everyone fell silent; the astrologer’s method of saving someone seemed profound and dangerous, and no one dared to interrupt him.
Time seemed extraordinarily long, as if everything slowed down. Everyone could hear their own breath, but no one dared to take deep breaths for fear of disrupting the astrologer’s concentration.
After 15 minutes, the astrologer finally finished the incantation. He opened his eyes and looked down at Ao Song on the ground, his gaze full of longing and reluctance, as well as deep despair.
Bai Ruozhu was standing directly in front of him and was stunned by his expression. Her unease deepened just as she was about to speak, only to see the astrologer collapse.
The white robe of the Yin Yang Master bloomed with clusters of red plum blossoms, which then spread out and turned into masses of bright red peonies, eventually becoming an ocean of blood, the white turned crimson.
In merely seconds, the astrologer was covered in blood, vomiting it continuously, while Ao Song’s mouth finally stopped bleeding!
"He transferred Ao Song’s backlash onto himself!" Gao Zhou exclaimed in shock.
Bai Ruozhu’s legs went weak, and she fell to the ground. Jiang Yichun hurriedly went to support her, and she almost crawled and stumbled over, stuffing a handful of hemostatic pills into the astrologer’s mouth.
She was frantically trying to save one, still not fully revived, and now she had to save another. Her heart wrenching with pain, how would she explain this to her senior brother? The reunion of the brothers Ao Song and the astrologer hadn’t even lasted long.
The silver needle was taken out, swiftly used to stop the astrologer’s bleeding, yet the blood on the ground only increased, blending with the blood that Ao Song had lost, as if the two would never be separated.
Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but cry. She couldn’t bear anything happening to Ao Song, nor could she bear to see the astrologer die. Couldn’t everyone just be safe and sound?
On the other side, Ao Song slowly opened her eyes. Seeing the astrologer covered in blood, she frantically crawled toward him.
"Why...why did you..." She was still very weak, her voice broken, tears mixed with blood flowing down.
But sadly, the astrologer could no longer open his eyes or utter a word. The last two words he said were: "Save her."
Ao Song cried out in pain and fainted again.
Gao Zhou hurriedly checked Ao Song over; her backlash had been transferred, but she had lost too much blood and was very weak.
Bai Ruozhu continued desperately to stop the astrologer’s bleeding, suddenly remembering the Spring Heart in her Space. She quickly used her divine sense to probe inside.
"Do you have any Spirit Liquid left? Can it save him?" she asked.
"What good would it do against backlash? It would only delay for a bit," the Spring Heart grumbled.
"Stop talking nonsense, give it all to me!" Bai Ruozhu yelled. She was determined to save the astrologer, even if it was all in vain; she had to try with all her might.
The Spring Heart trembled in fear. It had no doubt that if it refused, Bai Ruozhu would likely strangle it or directly toss it out of the Space.
If not nourished by the spiritually intelligent Hot Spring, it would vanish directly from the world.
So, it obediently handed over its meager reserve of Spirit Liquid.
Bai Ruozhu counted—only five droplets. Without thinking much, she administered all of them into the astrologer’s mouth.
The Spirit Liquid entered, drilled into his throat, flowed into his body, and slowly dispersed.
The astrologer’s bleeding lessened significantly, but his breath still remained weak.
Bai Ruozhu wiped her face and continued to apply needles to stop the bleeding and continue her treatment.
Even if it was futile, she would not give up.
As time ticked by, the astrologer’s breath slowly stabilized. Although still severely weak, at least he was no longer on the brink of death.
"It’s bought us time, but we’ll need to find a way, though I don’t know how long he can hold out," Bai Ruozhu said with a hoarse voice. After finishing, she blacked out, slumping to the ground.
All she remembered was falling into a warm embrace—it was Achun, with his familiar scent.
That night, she was mentally and emotionally drained, her emotions tumultuous, injuring her spirit.
When she awoke again, it was already noon.
She abruptly sat up as soon as she opened her eyes, causing a headache, and her body swayed.
Jiang Yichun quickly supported her, "Take it slow, they’re both alright, don’t worry."
He always understood her thoughts best. Bai Ruozhu’s eyes reddened, "Achun, the astrologer won’t die, right?"
"No, Ao Song is awake and insists she will save the astrologer, planning to take him to the Zhong Family," Jiang Yichun said.
Bai Ruozhu struggled to get up, noticing her clothes had already been changed. When she treated Ao Song and the astrologer earlier, she was covered in blood, but now she wore clean soft cotton garments.
She picked up an outer garment and draped it over herself, "I want to check on them."
Jiang Yichun supported her, "Take it slow, I’ll have someone bring the soup we prepared for you over."
"Achun, it’s so good to have you," she said, her voice choked up.
Jiang Yichun felt a pang of sadness, "I only regret that I didn’t study medicine well enough to help you."
Bai Ruozhu shook her head vigorously, "What’s the use of studying medicine? I still couldn’t help them."
"You are the one who saved the astrologer; otherwise, he would have died. Ao Song said that the transferred backlash was even fiercer. Without you, the astrologer wouldn’t have lasted 15 minutes," Jiang Yichun said.
Bai Ruozhu’s heart palpitated again. Luckily, she recalled the Spring Heart Spirit Liquid at the time; otherwise, if it had been any later, the astrologer would have been beyond saving.
