A Vampire's Guide To Summoning Demons (BL)
Chapter 63
Chapter 63: Chapter 63
"Dulce," Moira called out, surprised to see him. She had returned to her workshop, carefully going over the aftermath of the summons with precision. "Is something the matter?" She asked nervously, looking past him for the rest of his Demons.
"I wanted to make a request. Could I have clothes made for Caedos?" He asked harmlessly.
Moira took a gander at the Demon on all fours by his side, her response getting stuck in her throat when the Shadow Demon made an appearance behind Dulce. She cleared her throat and tried again, "O-Of course. I’ll make the arrangements right away, she said in a rush, darting out a side door.
Demons were a hobby of hers, but not enough for her to completely ignore the danger they posed to her. A Demon she summoned would be less of a threat because she would wield some control over it. Perhaps it was time for her to return to Fairwyn to resume her research, she had already accomplished several of her lifetime wishes.
Dulce blinked in surprise at the witch’s hasty departure, turning around. "I suppose..." His words trailed off at a familiar sight. "I didn’t know you all decided to follow along. Would you also like more clothes?" He directed at them, more willing to use the generosity of a Vampire-hunting human Queen than his own kind.
The three Demons wore constipated expressions, the presence of Caedos better showed that Dulce’s great treatment of them had been akin to pets, it was deeply dissatisfying.
But none turned down the offer of new clothes, wearing displeased expressions all the while.
Dulce looked around the empty workshop, it didn’t quite seem like the witch would be returning anytime soon so he decided to send a servant after her, more clothes would be needed after all.
"It will soon be time for dinner, I need to get ready." Dulce said more to himself, the matter of the clothes handed over to Miss Moira.
"I’ll come with you." Caedos invited himself again.
Kath’tan gritted his teeth, the Hellhound just kept making demands.
"Not this time, I’m afraid." Dulce sighed. "Queen Aylin insisted that I attend alone."
Caedos shifted as a response, the Hound taking up most of the space in the room, furniture getting moved to the side from his sheer size. "I’ll go like this." He said in his simple manner like it solved everything.
"Get your tail out of my face," Ruoxi scowled, swatting away the heavy tail.
Asael took one look at the starriness in Dulce’s eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. "You can’t take the Hound to dinner."
"B-But I’m sure Her Majesty wouldn’t mind," Dulce bargained, looking up at Caedos with a happy smile. He could already see visions of him reading by the fireplace with his hound for company.
Caedos stretched out, unbothered by the indecision in the room. This only caused more disgruntlement, four Demons making the large room look cramped by comparison.
With his mind made up, Dulce drifted to the bathroom to change for dinner, humming a little tune to himself.
Caedos lumbered over to the bed, planning to sit on it. The Hellhound was more comfortable in this form, easily sidestepping furniture.
"You’ll break the bed," Asael cautioned.
Caedos prowled around the furniture, learning so much on his first day of living. He shifted back as effortlessly as breathing, going ahead to sit on the bed.
A tense silence fell over the room in Dulce’s silence, the collective disapproval moving from Ruoxi to the Hellhound.
There was little to be said, however, each Demon unwilling to justify the cause of their discomfort.
Dulce returned in a short time, taking the Hellhound in with a clear head. "I don’t think you would be able to fit in the hallway as a Hound." He noted, but it didn’t dissuade him in the slightest. "I suppose you will just have to go with me like this."
There was a knock on the door then, a butler in livery on the other side to guide Dulce to his dinner with the Queen.
Dulce stepped back to let Caedos go ahead of him, a proud smile on his face despite the strange sight they made.
The butler couldn’t perceive the Hellhound, but it was rather difficult to ignore the strange man on all fours on the ground. "M-My apologies," He stumbled over his words at a loss. "Her Majesty is to have dinner with just you, Lord Montesserat. No other guests are allowed."
"That is not a guest, it is simply my ho... I mean my dog." He corrected with a proud smile.
The butler gracefully struggled to keep a straight face, unable to argue with the Queen’s special guest. This was a matter that would have to be dealt with by Her Majesty herself.
"Of... Of course," He bowed, "Right this way, Milord."
As they disappeared down the hallway, Asael melted into the shadows, Dulce going to dinner with the Queen with twice as many guests as she requested.
Ruoxi glanced at the scowling Fiend who was left behind with him in the Vampire’s room, warping away without a word.
Kath’tan walked out of the now-empty room, grumbling. It wasn’t quite that he wanted to be treated like a dog... it was that... how aggravating.

The cavernous dining room was empty, a long table dominating the room. The sun had gone down, so the heavy curtains were drawn, hundreds of candles brightening up the stately room.
Dulce was pleased by the space in the dining room, it meant that Caedos wouldn’t be uncomfortable.
He was led to the chair to the right of the throne-like chair at the head of the table, the butler bowing out of the room.
Caedos right away shifted and laid on the stone ground at Dulce’s feet. The stone rooms had been untrustworthy at first, but he had come to find that they were immensely comfortable, his head lowered right next to his savior’s seat.
The cold radiating from the stone was so pleasant that he was struck with the urge to roll around, his inner temperature naturally elevated from the fire running through his veins.
