Chapter 243: Chapter 243

Dulce ignored Kath’tan’s taunting words, a faint tremble in his knees. The tip of his member was dipped in a small pool of sticky release beneath him, it heightened his sensitivity. He let his head drop back to the sheets, pushing his hair out of his face.

He held his breath when he felt the Demon’s tip against his hole, a muffled cry punched out of him when he was suddenly filled to the hilt.

Kath’tan’s actions almost mocked his previous genuine concern, the Fiend didn’t give him time to adjust, taking his pleasure the only way he knew how.

It didn’t hurt, far from it. Even if Dulce wasn’t already wet and dripping, he hadn’t exactly done much sleeping the past two nights. It only heightened his sensitivity.

Demons were much larger than humans, but that didn’t quite justify the sheer size of his contracted Demons. His hole was stretched smooth around Kath’tan’s base, and when the Demon bottomed out, there was a bulge in his lower stomach.

Dulce’s knees buckled underneath him instantly, but he was caught before he could fall onto the soaked sheets. Kath’tan pulled him up against him instead, his powerful arms wrapped tightly around him.

Without the sheets to rip up and muffle his moans against, he dug his fingers into Kath’tan’s clothed thigh, his sounds filling up the room. Sitting upright lodged the Demon’s shaft even deeper, it made his mouth water, his hair damp with sweat.

His chest heaved, but no matter how hard he panted, he couldn’t seem to fill his lungs with enough air. It didn’t help that Kath’tan’s hand wrapped around his neck in a possessive hold, his sharp claws lightly pressed against the base of his neck, like they could puncture through at any moment.

Dulce’s second orgasm was ruthlessly fucked out of him, his flushed cheeks tear-tracked. There still wasn’t any respite, Kath’tan’s forceful thrusting kept on like he was merely a doll to take pleasure from.

When he finally felt wet heat gush inside of him, stretching out his stomach uncomfortably, Dulce was trembling from overstimulation, his dribbling length half-hard. He caught a handful of Kath’tan’s hair, his grip painful; it was impossible not to notice that the Demon hadn’t softened.

"Pull out." He threatened dangerously, tears still spilling out of his eyes.

Kath’tan panted harshly against the curve of his neck. It had taken a lot of self-control not to sink his teeth into the tender skin right in front of him as his vision went white from pleasure. "Can’t take any more?"

Dulce didn’t bother to pay attention to his tone, thoroughly upset. He couldn’t orgasm anymore, so spent that he didn’t even want to try. His head was resting against Kath’tan’s shoulder, the Demon’s hand still around his throat. He simply shot Kath’tan a chilling glare, his red eyes promising retribution.

Kath’tan simply laughed in his face and leaned in for a kiss, but the Demon did pull out, sticky white release spilling out of his abused hole as he did.

"Now, let me go." Dulce kept making demands, his voice soft and scratchy from crying out for the better part of the night.

Kath’tan still clung to him even after pulling out, their overheated, sweaty bodies pressed together. "Let me hold you a while longer." He countered.

Dulce’s wet eyes managed to shoot a frosty glare at him, caught off guard when he was carried off the bed. He was taken to the bath to clean up, and as soon as he was submerged in warm water, he grew drowsy.

Kath’tan paused at this, open curiosity in his fevered purple eyes. "Did you taste my blood?" He asked. He was dressed in loose pants, not much different from when Dulce had first arrived in his room.

Dulce forced his eyes to stay open... he hadn’t. But he didn’t grace Kath’tan with an answer, not bothering to stay awake because the Fiend cleaned him up.

"You sleep as often as a human," Kath’tan’s low voice drifted into his ears a short while after.

Dulce opened his eyes then to find out that he had been moved to his room, the clean sheets cool underneath his bath-warmed body. "I am one." He mumbled drowsily.

Kath’tan still looked unconvinced, "You once were. Is something wrong with your heart?" He asked with mild apprehension.

Although the Demon was keeping him at the edge of sleep, Dulce felt too euphoric to be upset. He turned to Kath’tan, who was still halfway on the bed, with a slight smile that held mischief. "I’m more human than Vampire." He said cryptically, rolling out of the Demon’s hold in the next moment. "Now go away. I want to sleep."

Kath’tan still needed to take a quick bath, so he warped away without saying anything more. He was back in a short while in a new pair of pants, pulling a fast-asleep Dulce back into his arms.

While asleep, Dulce looked more like his heartless shell. The Vampire’s features were soft with sleep; it almost seemed like he would open serene blue eyes in the next moment, an apology on his tongue.

Dulce was wrapped up in a simple robe, it was loosely belted, revealing most of his marked-up body, his flushed skin yet to cool. The Vampire smelled of snowdrops after a cold winter rain, his tousled gold-blond hair frizzy as it dried.

Kath’tan buried his face deep in the curve of his neck, tasting the floral dew on his tongue. What had he been so worried about? Not even Dulce at the height of his foolishness had lost his interest. Not even the fear of hurting the Vampire had kept him away...

He woke up in a good mood; a sliver of sunlight falling right over his eyes didn’t even irk him, a slanted smile on his face as he lifted himself from the curve of Dulce’s neck to find the Vampire still fast asleep.

Kath’tan’s life had been full of hardship, and he still didn’t know how to be gentle, but there was something about mornings with Dulce that touched the bare bones of his soul.

His sappy smile was received with distrustful anger from Dulce. The Vampire woke up irate, his eyes glinting in the sunlight like silver blades.

Kath’tan’s back met the ground this time, taking the covers with him, his wild hair scattered on the polished wooden floor beneath him. His soft smile stretched out into a full-on grin, it brightened his handsome face for all its dangerous intentions.

"It’s morning." Dulce said indifferently, visibly having no intentions of getting out of bed yet. "I don’t have to keep you company." He said coldly, turning around to go right back to sleep.

It was still pretty early, the dew on the spring grass was yet to dry, and birds were singing in the quiet trees. But Kath’tan was no longer interested in sleep, brimming with energy.

He shot to his feet, taking the fallen sheets with him. He still remembered how to cover Dulce up, so he did, warping away as soon as the cream sheets fell.

Kath’tan planned to return home briefly that morning, seeing his mother was a nice bonus, but it was more to train. He hadn’t done much of that since they went off on the journey to Eynsworth, he was starting to grow rusty.

Flaeris was a scorching-hot plane, so Fiends wore minimal clothing, which meant that his mother right away saw the ghastly scratch marks that ran down his back.

"You’re hurt?" Valrena panicked before getting a proper look.

Grand Duke Yamra was away on a short trip out of the city, so his mother was overseeing his training practice. Her dark hair was bound in a ponytail with a strip of shimmering silk, her skirts matching it.

Kath’tan had his maul propped against a bare shoulder, glancing over his shoulder even though his view of his back was limited. "Am I?" He drawled.

He hadn’t forgotten about the souvenirs from the night before, as a matter of fact, he had deliberately left them unhealed, purple-black lines on his dark red skin.

Valrena paused at that, giving it the littlest of thought. "Nevermind." She muttered, hastily retracing her steps.

She focused on his training after that, but her thoughts kept wandering. She wanted to know more about her son’s life, but it felt meddlesome to question him.

Kath’tan was still accompanying his summoner; did that then mean that he had gotten involved with someone on Earth? Was it the mage that saved him? Questions, questions.

She kept getting lost in thought, and too soon Kath’tan was asking to return, the sweat on his body yet to cool.

"Grand Duke Azranon is holding a grand ball in a fortnight. Invites have been sent to the five Northern cities of Flaeris." She only remembered to say, her simple words carrying weight.

"I’ll return before then," Kath’tan promised easily, readying to carve out a portal to return.

He had walked quietly to his mother’s room with her, taking his warhammer with him. He left the hammer in her room - it had been a short while, but he had too quickly grown accustomed to having a caring parent.

"Let me..." Valrena offered grudgingly to create a portal, only to be stopped.

"...It’s a bit of a story," Kath’tan said briefly to the question in her eyes. "Let’s talk next time."
