A Vampire's Guide To Summoning Demons (BL)
Chapter 134
Chapter 134: Chapter 134
Ruoxi wandered off after they were shown to their rooms, Kath’tan and Asael trailing Dulce to his, a growing bad habit.
Dulce said nothing to this, undoing his cravat. They could now freely eat in taverns if they chose to, the danger of being a Vampire growing distant with each passing day.
"Would you prefer to have dinner in your rooms?" He asked although they would all end up eating together in his lavish room.
"Don’t you want to try the tavern’s wine?" Kath’tan asked curiously, already making himself comfortable, more buttons on his dress shirt undone.
Dulce was reminded of his disappointment again, he sighed, forlorn. "They don’t have flower wine, I would rather not."
Ruoxi walked in then, slinging several jars of Huayuan flower wine over a shoulder. Qingyi had given him an earful for only dropping by to steal wine but he hadn’t heard her because he had left too quickly.
"I brought you flower wine," He said simply, like it was merely a matter of going down to the street to get some.
"You returned to Lotus Garden?" Dulce asked in surprise.
Ruoxi placed the large jars on the low table by the empty fireplace, "I paid a visit more like. Qinyi was very happy to see me." He lied with a straight face.
Dulce’s eyes brightened, silver blue gaze excitedly drifting to the jars on the table. Ensbury and Huayuan both made spectacular flower wine, although the potency of fhe wine from the Hells could not be debated.
"Thank you," He said happily, flitting over to the table without bothering to take his overcoat off.
He leaned down to straighten up a tilted jar, looking around to realize he had company. "Would you like to share a drink with me-"
"Yes." Ruoxi agreed without hesitation, walking up beside him to take a jar of wine.
Dulce turned to him in concern, "Don’t drink more than a jug," He cautioned.
The Incubus simply flashed him a grin, undoing the buttons off his waistcoat with a single hand as he made his way to the bed.
Dulce picked up a jug, Ruoxi could better handle his wine now, and at most he would get a good night’s rest. "Would you like to drink with me?" He turned to Kath’tan, hopeful.
Kath’tan took the jug out of his hands, although he didn’t care for flower wine, willing to share a drink with the Vampire regardless.
Dulce picked up another jug, "Do you care for some wine, Asael?"
The Shadow Demon stared directly at Dulce instead of the jar of wine being offered to him. He had never tried wine before, it was a possible risk to him, and in the privacy of his castle, he simply had no interest, solely returning home to sleep.
But Dulce’s excitement was contagious, having company to drink with seemed as important as acquiring his favorite kind of wine.
"Sure," He agreed, accepting it.
After his initial unconscious reaction to seeing Dulce again, he had fallen into the background like he often did. Observing quietly, waiting for the moment his decision to stay would no longer hold.
It was perhaps a way to distract his wired mind, unaccustomed to being so idle without purpose. He brought the jug up to his lips, catching a whiff of the sultry scent of flowers.
Dulce only took a jug for himself after getting everyone to share in the wind brought for him. A gentle smile on his face as he brought it to his lips, he had gotten too distracted by moonberries on hia short visit to Huayuan to drink more wine.
Kath’tan drank down the entire jug in a deep drink, missing the mischievous light in Ruoxi’s eyes.
The Incubus merely cradled his jug, waiting for the entertainment.
Kath’tan frowned after the jug was empty, peering into the dark containment. "What’s in this?" He accused Ruoxi, his throat bobbing as he swallowed it.
"Do you like it?" Dulce asked, savoring the taste. There was a limited supply of flower wine this time, he wasn’t in a hurry to go through it all. Perhaps he could save some to carry along on their journey.
The Fiend was scowling, discontent swirling in his purple eyes. There was no mistaking that it was flower wine in the wine jars, the sticky sweet taste was even more prominent in the alcohol, but the potency was unnatural, his pupils dilating slightly.
"What? Scared of a little flower wine?" Ruoxi taunted, ignoring the look Asael shot him.
Kath’tan grumbled under his breath but rose to his feet to take another jug. "It’s too sweet." He complained while taking a swig from another jug.
Dulce drank down his entire jug of wine as well in solidarity, placing it down with a thud on the side table next to him. "I could have the tavern bring up ale if that is more to your liking." He said without judgment, reaching for another jar as well.
"It’s just flower wine," He countered darkly, "I can handle this much."
Asael stayed out of the skirmish, trying the wine for himself. It brought back the memory of hard candy on his tongue, someone knocking into a table pulling him from the thought.
He looked up to see Kath’tan unsteadily taking his third jar, ignoring the scene right after. He instead tried another sip of the wine, trying to understand why Dulce liked it so much.
It was sweet, but not overwhelming so like Kath’tan claimed. It had a fresh, light taste, it was pleasant.
"Kath’tan..." Dulce murmured in concern, "Perhaps you should slow down," He suggested, still on his second jar.
Ruoxi waited until the third jar was emptied before he spoke up, drinking sparingly from his. "Dulce has gotten drunk off that mild flower wine." He lightly said.
Kath’tan didn’t stand up again, wisely so because after only a measly three jugs, the room was starting to spin. His attention instead went to Dulce, struck with the poisonous image of the Vampire drunk.
Unaware of his thoughts, Dulce chimed in. "It is incredibly potent, I should have warned you."
