A Sect from a Spirit Vein
Chapter 689: The Golden Core Celestial Tribulation Is Before My Eyes
Chapter 689 -515: The Golden Core Celestial Tribulation Is Before My Eyes
Sixty-one years old, at the Foundation Establishment Perfection.
Among mortals, this is the age of coming to terms.
The age of coming to terms means that cultivation has matured, heart perfection is attained, nothing sounds disagreeable. One can bear harsh words, withstand verbal abuse, and everything heard and done is unhindered in the heart.
This is a transcendent realm, yet many mortals, at this age, truly can grasp the essence and practice it to some extent.
Because they have already lived most of their lives, nearing the end. In the face of unchangeable, gradually approaching death, what remains mysterious?
The closer to death, the more mature and transparent one becomes.
Lu Qian sometimes finds it very interesting. Cultivators, possessing long lifespans, in these respects, the understanding of life, the world, of life and death, is often not as profound as mortals.
At sixty-one, even among Qi Cultivators, it is the prime of life. It’s a time of vigorous strength, the height of attachment to gain and loss, and the strongest desire to win or lose.
Such a mindset of “coming to terms” is likely difficult for cultivators to achieve. Upon reflection, one wonders whether it is gain or loss.
Achieving Foundation Establishment Perfection at sixty-one, in the Cultivation Realm, is already considered a genius.
This is the result of Lu Qian’s Dual Spiritual Roots, personal fortuitous encounters, Pure Glazed Body combined with abundant resources, high-level Spirit Pills, and high-level Spirit Veins.
But compared to Wu Yan, it still falls short by a considerable margin.
In fact, Wu Yan reached Foundation Establishment Perfection even earlier than Lu Qian by more than ten days. With the unparalleled Celestial Spiritual Root, she eventually surpassed her master.
If blessed by the ancestral master, both can successfully cross the tribulation, during the Golden Core cultivation, Wu Yan will leave Lu Qian behind.
However, Lu Qian is quite gratified by this. The student surpasses the master, which he is happy to see.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have passed on the true legacy, the Wind Shadow Cloud Body Secret Technique, and the Great Dao Dream Butterfly Celestial Book to Wu Yan.
In the Mirror Flower Water Moon Secret Skill, Wu Yan’s comprehension exceeded Lu Qian’s expectations. She has already successfully cultivated the two realms of “Wind Shadow” and “Cloud Body”, just waiting to break into the Golden Core, to begin practicing “Mirror Flower Water Moon”.
Lu Qian speculates that this is related to Wu Yan’s unique “Void Spiritual Root” with spatial attribute.
In fact, Lu Qian is not one to hoard his own skills. The Wind Shadow Cloud Body Secret Technique, he had shared with several fellow brothers before. Wang Yu couldn’t practice it at all, Yang Jiye found it difficult to get started, and continued to ponder over the Purple Qi Celestial Net, while Jiang Qingfeng also could not cultivate it.
In short, whether it is a cultivation technique or a secret technique, whether one can enter or master it, has a great deal to do with personal endowment. It’s not as if everyone can learn even when a peerless cultivation technique is placed before them.
Now in the Yushan Seventh Grade Profound Mystery Scripture, there are many high-tier cultivation techniques, but most disciples still practice Seventh Grade techniques, Sixth Grade are few, and above Sixth Grade are even fewer.
Although granting of cultivation techniques indeed has requirements regarding spiritual roots and disciple levels, more disciples clearly qualify to practice higher graded techniques, but can only choose a Sixth or Seventh Grade technique.
No other reason, simply can’t comprehend, can’t grasp the basics.
The higher the tier of the cultivation technique, the higher the requirements for personal endowment abilities of a cultivator. Without enough talent, divine skills can only be marveled at without grasping. Since the establishment of the Yunshan Sect, only those outstanding, now already distinguished disciples, have managed to practice Four or Five Grade techniques.
Fortunately, “Yushan Seventh Grade Profound Mystery Scripture” contains so many recorded techniques that disciples can always find the most suitable ones according to their talents. This point is much better than the disciples of sects with weak foundations having no suitable techniques and having to blindly cultivate without fully understanding.
This is one reason why Yunshan disciples progress faster than those of weaker sects.
This is particularly evident in the Immortal Technique: Great Dao Dream Butterfly Celestial Book.
This Immortal Technique Lu Qian practiced, on one hand, benefited from a strong Consciousness Collection, on the other hand, for an unknown reason, Lu Qian was particularly familiar with the “feeling” of transforming and shuttling worlds within the Immortal Technique, understanding quickly, making the cultivation smooth and natural, deeply comprehending, and progressing remarkably.
But for Wu Yan, practicing it felt obscure and hard to understand, progressing slowly, contrasting sharply with her swift Foundation Establishment cultivation, it was like at a snail’s pace.
Only when approaching Foundation Establishment Perfection did she manage to barely enter, capable of transforming into a butterfly to comprehend the Dao, deducing Divine Techniques.
And by that time, Lu Qian had already, through that dreamy and illusory butterfly, propelled his own Five Elements Dao deeper and deeper, spending over thirty years to successfully deduce, locking in a perfect Golden Core Divine Technique!
On the night when the Divine Technique was booked, and the framework was initially formed, Yunshan disciples witnessed firsthand, on Minglong Mountain, a brilliant light shining, white, green, black, red, and yellow Five-Colored light soaring into the sky, obscuring the bright moonlight and starlight, circulating back and forth, endlessly.
In the Void, brilliance floated, characters like tadpoles, bird seal script, and fish-crustacean script descended from the sky, ancient, obscure, and extremely mystical.
At the same time, mystical sounds arose, music of silk and bamboo, bells, and peace, zither and harp, praises, incredibly melodious, cleansing the heart.
Such an anomaly left disciples dazzled, unable to restrain themselves, searching for the source. Eventually discovering, those Five-Colored lights, Immortal Dao Seal, Mystical Sounds of the Great Dao, were emerging from the Sect Leader’s Courtyard, making everyone suddenly become enlightened, increasingly reverent, and infinitely adoring of their own Sect Leader.
Though Wu Yan couldn’t reach the expected progress, even having no time like Lu Qian, through over thirty years of deduction to achieve the most perfect, most complete result, she could still deepen her understanding of the Dao she cultivated, selecting in advance a good Divine Technique, avoiding inadvertent missteps into detours.
