A God Killed Me By Accident, But I Reincarnated As The 4th Son Of The Marquis
Volume 16 Chapter 28: The Three Finally Got Along
“What am I going to do?!” Keith was about to burst into tears; his expression was as if the world had come crashing down! William and the others watched him, giving him sympathetic gazes. This is what it’s like to be a parent.
May stroked his back while Carolyn patted his head, “There, there.” The two were there to console him when he crashed out. Everyone understood why he was going through this turmoil: Eri, Leon, and Laura. Despite being here for a few days, the three had yet to get along.
It was the strangest occurrence.
The three acknowledged the other’s existence; however, they only glanced at one another for a moment before they went their separate ways, with Leon and Laura playing together while Eri played with Lei. When Keith tried to do something, they would only nod and do the bare minimum.
Eric said, “They will get used to one another after some time.”
“Yeah, little brother. Situations like this cannot be forced.” The opposite reaction: forcing them to get along would only make them hate each other.
“I know I can’t force this, but it’s odd.” Keith knew some situations just needed time. Still, he worried.
“How are they getting along with the other kids?” That was baffling to Keith: Eri had no trouble getting along with the other kids in the city. There were some problems in the beginning because of her wariness. However, she got along with them! So why couldn’t she do the same with Leon and Laura?
“Do they just not like one another?” Derek questioned. With those words, Eric and Alvin swooped in and smacked him in the head! Derek glared as he rubbed the spot, “What was that for?!”
“Idiot!” “Did you have to say that?”
1,000,000 points of damage were inflicted on Keith as his soul slowly escaped from his body. That could be the case, but Keith didn’t want to believe it! Sometimes, children just have that inherited trait of disliking someone simply because they dislike them. There was no reason for it.
That was the worst outcome no one wanted. Sophia interjected, “Son, I do not think it is that.” Leon and Laura would show more distance if they really disliked the individual. This was the same for Eri. It seemed they were feeling one another out, since they would see each other every day, unlike the children in the city.
“You just have to trust them to get along.”
“...Yes.” Keith groaned as he looked up at the ceiling. That only made Sophia chuckle. “I hope my children and grandchildren get along with one another.” It would be a joy for her.
“I wish I had more.”
“...” The three children had dark expressions. Clearly, her words were directed at them: No, she looked directly at them to make them understand.
The next day,
It was the same scenario: Leon and Laura played on one side, while Eri played on the other with Lei. Keith grumbled a bit; May and Carolyn held his hand to control him. Keith took a couple of deep breaths. I have to control myself.
“Leon and Laura, how are you two with the plates?”
“Mmhmm!” “Fun.” The two children’s eyes lit up.
Keith nodded, “That’s good.” From the two reviews, the product is well-received. Mass production now. This was the next option since he could tell the kids were enjoying the toy.
“Now I need to figure out how to package it.” While Keith was thinking, Leon and the two headed over to the library, where they lay on the rug. May went along with them to oversee them.
Leon and Laura stared at the plates while Eri read a book with Lei. I wish Fira were here. If the spirit were here, she would have asked everyone to play. She had the ability to make people join.
“Dog!” That was when Eri called out, noticing the animal on the plate. Leon tilted his head, “This?”
“Owl!”
“Aria!”
“Papa said owl.”
“Owl?” Leon looked down. Eri rubbed her arms before she took out more plates, “Play?”
“…” Leon and Laura’s eyes were locked onto the plates. The carvings on them were something they hadn’t seen before. Laura nodded, “Mmhmm.”
Eri waddled over, lay down and showed each plate to the two. Leon and Laura stared at the plate,
“Carrot?”
“Mmhmm!”
“Po! Po!” Lei jumped up and down as the plate was placed on his head.
“Hehe!” The three kids laughed at how silly the choco ball was.
May, who saw this, almost cried at how they were playing with one another. Something so simple was enough to get them to get along with one another!
“Thank you.” Aria came forward with a small napkin to help with the tears.
“Po, Po!” That was when the three stopped as they stared out the window. “Inti!” They saw all the snowballs together. They looked at one another, “May! Up.”
“Understood, please be within eye distance.”
“Play ball?” Leon raised the ball up, “Do you want to?”
“Okay!” Eri nodded. The three glanced at the window and then at May. The look said it all.
“Let me help you up.”
“What happened with you three?” Keith grinned at them. While he worked, he came out to see the three covered in dirt. That alone was more than enough for him to get an idea of what happened.
“Go take a bath. Let’s all sleep together.”
“Okay!” The little ones quickly followed the maids to the bath. Keith raised his fist into the air. Thank goodness!
