Keith glanced at the little ones, “Did you three have fun today?”

“Mmhmm!” The three nodded as the group headed home; their breathing was ragged while they sipped water. Before, they were running around like lightning bolts. It was the first time he had seen Eri so energetic; that was what happened when children of the same age got together. He was glad Eri could make friends her age.

“Again?” Eri looked at Keith.

“Sure. May can bring you out to play in the park.” Keith stroked her head as they passed through the gates.

“Mother!” Leon and Laura dashed over to Sophia.

“Did you two have fun outside?” Sophia stroked their heads.

“Yes!” “Catch!”

“I see.” The mother instantly understood from the few words that they had a fun time at the park.

Carolyn walked over, her brows knitted. “Keith, how could you not take me with you to the city?!” When she woke up, the three were missing. Hearing how they entered the city without her made her furious! Her eyes slowly cast a side glance at May,

“Well played, May.”

May coughed, “The young master requested me not to call you. He wanted you to rest more.”

“I could see through the lies!” Carolyn eyed her. She just wanted to spend time with Keith!

“Sorry about that.” Keith chuckled, “Did you have a good rest?”

“…Sort of.” Carolyn stroked her neck as she glanced away.

“…What do you mean?” Keith blinked, but then he noticed, “Hmm? Where is Aunty Thalia?” Violet and Sophia were here, and Thalia didn’t leave without Violet.

“Go inside.”

Keith was confused, but soon learned the truth as he entered the mansion. Clearly, she was implying William’s office. Getting close, he heard shouts coming from inside William’s office.

“Come on! Let us stay here!”

“You got plenty of rooms?!”

“Don’t be a stickler about everything!” Keith immediately turned around, “Okay, so I don’t need to be here.” Actually, why was he even here?! No need to open the door; he immediately understood who was in the office.

Seeing them in the city was already a headache. But it made sense since his father was friends with them. Sophia cast a soft smile, “Son, I know you don’t want to admit it, but it has to be. Now go help your father.”

“...Yes.” Keith groaned as he opened the door to see a scene he never wanted to see: William was being clung to by a bunch of men; those ferocious eyes were now directed at him. Julius grinned. “Tell me, brat, how was your romantic excursion to the demon realm?”

“Romantic Excursion?”

“Do you think we wouldn’t hear about it?” The other kings besides Virel grinned.

“There are rumors about how you kidnapped the demon princess.”

“What?!” Wait, is that what’s spreading? And this is spreading all the way over here?! He knew about the Solis Kingdom hearing about it, but the beastman kingdom and the others as well?!

“Yeah, apparently, you defeated all the demon folk around, and then you took her hand in marriage.”

“...” I didn’t even do this. Also, it’s so backward! Why am I considered the villain in this situation? It was Draezar and the others who caused trouble!

“But is it true?” Julius’s eyes narrowed at Keith.

“Of course not.” Keith sighed as he questioned, “Why are you invested in this?” This was odd: out of the three, Julius shouldn’t be focused. He was too invested when this man tried to hit him every time he talked to his daughter? Shouldn’t he be happy?

“Oh no, I’m still refusing. My sweet Carolyn is going to stay with Daddy.” Hearing his words caused the others to gag.

“But the thought of you going to the demon kingdom, plus to that man, is even worse.” The decision of two evils.

“So true.” Othniel nodded.

“What? King Alastair is usually calm.” Actually, he was more aloof in nature. But he didn’t seem like a bad guy.

“What do you know?!”

“The calmer guys are always the most dangerous!”

“You don’t even know the amount of trouble he put us through!”

The three kings glared at him. But Keith only sighed. So, he was a troublemaker in the past? From the way he saw it, it seemed that was the case.

“Now that the three of you have said your piece, leave.” William’s eyes narrowed.

“Oh, trying to shoo us away, huh?”

“Do you think we can leave after being here?”

“Please, you’ll have to drag my cold, dead body out.”

That can be arranged. William’s eyes glowed as his hand twitched violently. Fresh meat…dead meat. Either way, they were going to get it from him. Julius and the other kings rolled their eyes, “Touch me, and it’s an act of war.”

“It’s an act of war for you to be even here.” For the kings to be here without any guards and security, yeah, that was a problem. It was even more so when there were three of them running around.

“But you have so many delicious things here!”
