Originally, Bai He hadn’t intended to trouble Ye Shiyuan, but recalling the incident just now, his heart still raced with lingering fear.

He felt as if his chest were tight with dread.

"Alright."

Bai He carefully climbed onto Ye Shiyuan’s back.

Fortunately, Bai He was not very tall and had a small body, so carrying him wouldn’t be too strenuous.

This eased some of Ye Shiyuan’s guilt in his heart.

After walking a while longer, they reached a dilapidated door.

However, this door was not made of ordinary materials and could not be opened so easily.

Ye Shiyuan immediately manifested the Dawnmaker Divine Sword in his hand, which could easily break through the door.

Yet, he was stopped by Wanyan Xinyi.

"What are you doing?" Ye Shiyuan asked.

"To avoid wasting time," Wanyan Xinyi replied.

"If your sword makes a sound, half of Jurchen Manor might be destroyed! Besides, I never said I couldn’t open it myself," Ye Shiyinyi said.

Bai He patted Ye Shiyuan’s shoulder: "Shiyuan, listen to him."

While carrying Bai He in his back, Ye Shiyuan stepped back a few paces.

Wanyan Xinyi whose seemingly searching for something soon found a mechanism.

With a few easy twists, the massive door actually opened.

It was truly astonishing.

"Host, there are countless wondrous things in this place. This was just a small mechanism," Mo Zhu’s voice echoed in Bai He’s mind.

There were indeed many mysterious things, but if one day he could return here...

His cultivation and strength might not be very useful back home. Yet if he could master these mechanisms and similar skills, they could still be of value when he returned.

But obviously, now was not the time to worry about that.

Once the door opened, another scene lay before them.

They could faintly hear sounds of wailing and shrieking, echoing through the passage like the cries of tortured souls.

Bai He listened in fear and his heart racing.

"What kind of place is this? Are you sure we didn’t take a wrong turn?" he asked with trembling voice.

"Of course not," Wanyan Xinyi replied. "This is the dungeon of Jurchen Manor. I’ve been locked in a dungeon before, but not here, it was further ahead."

Those imprisoned here were all severe criminals, each locked away for who knew how long. They were disheveled, filthy, and some had faces so worn that it was hard to even recognize their original features.

Some of them who saw people approaching them immediately lunged toward the doors of their cells.

"Let me out! Let me out!"

"Master, there’s nothing to be afraid of."

Compared to the snake earlier, these people were actually not so frightening.

"You can come down now. There aren’t any snakes here," Wanyan Xinyi couldn’t help but remark.

These two people are really...

"Master" this and "Master" that, listening to it made him feel uncomfortable.

Bai He awkwardly climbed down from Ye Shiyuan’s back. "Shiyuan, you don’t need to carry me anymore."

It’s not good to keep relying on him.

Ye Shiyuan shot a displeased glance at Wanyan Xinyi but could only comply with a nod.

He had never expected Jurchen Manor’s dungeon to be this large.

"I’m reminded of the Demon Cave of Lingguang Sect," Bai He said, "this is somewhat similar."

"I’ve heard of the Lingguang Sect’s Demon Cave, they say it’s terrifying. How terrifying could it really be?"

Wanyan Xinyi’s interest immediately piqued.

However, Bai He had actually only seen a small part of it.

"Inside, there are perhaps hundreds of demons or devils. The weaker ones might only have a few hundred years of cultivation, while the powerful ones... even the former Demon Kings are locked inside."

"I’ve heard Lingguang Sect is the top cultivation sect in the world. If I ever have a chance, can I go take a look?"

Bai He cast a glance at Wanyan Xinyi and shook his head.

"In your case, you might only ever become a fourth-generation disciple. If after six months you cannot advance to a third-generation disciple, you’ll be expelled from the sect. You could very well be among those expelled."

Wanyan Xinyi’s expression immediately darkened. "Am I really that bad?"

"You are!" Bai He answered seriously, giving him no face at all.

Wanyan Xinyi fell silent.

Jurchen Manor was different from Lingguang Sect, one was a cultivation sect and the other is just ordinary organization that was only interested in medicinal herbs and not requiring much strength to join.

As long as someone left, they could enter Jurchen Manor. But the entrance was guarded, and now Wanyan Xinyi’s identity meant no one would acknowledge him.

The group had no choice but to work together and taking down the few guards outside.

They only knocked them unconscious since Wanyan Xinyi had no intention of killing anyone.

Once the guards were incapacitated, the area outside finally fell silent and no one remained.

"Midnight is almost here. Tonight, that cat demon must be brought to justice," Wanyan Xinyi gritted his teeth.

The cat demon had gone too far, even daring to harm his father.

Bai He’s goal was the Nuwa Stone, which just so happened to be in the cat demon’s possession. They were, in a sense, working toward the same objective.

By midnight, the cat demon finally emerged.

Just like the previous night, she leapt onto the roof with incredible agility.

She was about to start absorbing the power of the Nuwa Stone to cultivate when suddenly, the stone in her hand was snatched away.

Xu Feng’s speed was even faster than hers.

"Thanks."

In an instant, Xu Feng was in front of Bai He. "Master, here you go."

Bai He took it with both hands.

This was exactly what he had been waiting for and now it was finally in his possession.

Seeing this, the cat demon had just opened her mouth to speak when Ye Shiyuan cast a Immobilization Spell, which instantly freezing her in place.

She couldn’t move a muscle.

Without the ability to shout, Wanyan Aguda could come out and no one would be able to stop them.
