Chapter 419: Chapter 379: A Fight to the Death

Sisiya National Security Agency.

"BOOM!"

The main gate was smashed open by a giant hammer. The seven or eight agents behind it were all sent flying by the collapsing gate, spitting up blood.

The other agents left on guard looked on in horror. The gate was made of an incredibly sturdy alloy, and yet...

"Listen up. I’m only saying this once."

Sikokun walked into the hall, gripping the large hammer with both hands, her voice harsh and cold.

Following behind her was an armed unit directly under Yelena. Though not large in number, they were all fiercely loyal elites.

Sikokun’s gaze swept over the security agents.

"Those of you who drop your weapons and surrender now can live. Otherwise, I’ll turn every last one of you into meat patties under this hammer!"

"...I-I surrender!"

An agent who met Sikokun’s gaze couldn’t bear the fear in his heart. He threw down his weapon and dropped to the ground, hands over his head.

With someone taking the lead, the other agents also dejectedly gave up the fight one by one.

Their being left behind meant that in Valery’s eyes, they were either not loyal enough or not competent enough. Now, facing Sikokun—a woman who could smash open an alloy gate with a single swing of her hammer—they had no courage to fight.

Dying was one thing, but no one wanted to be crushed into a meat patty by that terrifying-looking hammer.

"Arrest them all!"

At Sikokun’s command, the soldiers behind her moved forward and apprehended the surrendering security agents.

Once these agents surrendered, the civilian staff upstairs naturally wouldn’t offer any resistance either.

It took less than half an hour to occupy the security agency, but there was no smile on Sikokun’s face.

She knew Valery had taken all the elite agents to deal with Yelena. Overwhelming a poorly defended base was nothing to be proud of.

"Governor," she contacted Yelena via her earpiece. "I’ve taken control of the security agency. Over thirty agents who put up a stubborn resistance have been eliminated, and the rest have been detained. What’s the situation on your end? Do you need support?"

The mere three or four seconds she waited for a reply felt like an hour to Sikokun.

Yelena’s voice came through. "Good work, Sikokun. Everything went smoothly on my end. Valery and the agents he brought have all been executed."

"That’s great!" Hearing this, the weight on Sikokun’s heart was finally lifted.

"I’ll contact you again later. I still have something to take care of."

Yelena looked toward the farm. ’I wonder how the battle between Guan Tong and Lucifer is going. Shangyuan Zi and Shi Jingyi are already on their way. I can’t fall behind either.’

「...」

The bead Lucifer had thrown out showered the sky in a dazzling light, momentarily suppressing the expansion of the Shadow and preventing it from closing to form a Domain.

Guan Tong was quite surprised to see this. ’I didn’t expect an item like this existed.’

"Your Shadow is useless in the face of light."

Lucifer’s smug voice came from the sky.

"I put a lot of effort into finding an item that could counter your ability... Now, let me see what else you can do!"

Lucifer’s wings vibrated as he dove toward Guan Tong on the ground at extreme speed.

The light-emitting bead in the sky suppressed the Shadow, preventing the Shadow Realm from fully forming. Coupled with Lucifer’s incredible speed, he was in front of Guan Tong within a few breaths.

"Die!"

His sharp wings sliced down at Guan Tong like two great scythes, cutting off any escape routes. But the expected spray of blood didn’t happen. Lucifer frowned, looking at the shadow that had been sliced into several pieces in front of him.

’Swapped places with a shadow?’

He keenly deduced what Guan Tong had done, turning around with a flap of his wings. He saw Guan Tong now standing in the distance, a silver shotgun in his hands.

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

Several High-Explosive Bombs were fired, their target being the bead hovering in the air and emitting intense light. Its glow suppressed the Shadow, preventing Guan Tong from using his abilities to their fullest. It had to be destroyed first.

"Don’t even think about it!"

Lucifer shot a dense volley of sharp feathers from a distance, intercepting the High-Explosive Bombs in mid-air and causing a series of explosions. Just as a smug look appeared in his eyes, he heard a "CRACK" as the bead in the sky shattered.

’What happened?!’

Lucifer’s eyes widened. He was sure he had blocked all the bombs with his feathers, so why was the bead still hit?

Just then, his sharp eyes spotted some Steel Balls falling from the sky. A chill ran down his spine. ’Besides the High-Explosive Bombs, there was also a Scatter Shot!’

"It seems you don’t know enough about my gun. You didn’t know it could switch between different types of ammunition on the fly."

Hearing Guan Tong’s voice, Lucifer gritted his teeth in fury.

Without the suppression from the light-emitting item, the Shadow rapidly coalesced, forming a complete Shadow Realm.

At the same time, Guan Tong also fired several Smoke Bombs from his Silver Hunter, creating a large amount of smoke.

This way, even if Lucifer used another illumination item like last time, he would be trapped in the smoke, unable to determine direction or position.

"Darkness plus smoke would indeed turn your enemy into a headless chicken trapped in this Shadow World, waiting to die... But don’t forget, I am... Lucifer!"

After taking a deep breath, Lucifer voluntarily closed his eyes.

Guan Tong was surprised to see this. ’Could this guy really fight without relying on his vision?’

WHOOSH—

As if in response to Guan Tong’s speculation, Lucifer, with his eyes closed, flapped his wings and soared into the air.

Guan Tong continuously created various shadow obstacles to block him and changed his own position, but Lucifer could always find him and change direction to pursue him.

’What’s he relying on? Locating me by sound?’

Guan Tong felt that wasn’t right. He made almost no sound when moving in the darkness. More importantly, he had fired his gun a few times, and the loud gunshots hadn’t interfered with Lucifer’s pursuit at all.
