"No need to be so troublesome, let the colleagues in the planning department send the draft to your email, and you can make revisions on my computer." Dan Tingye spoke casually, looking at her with a face as if granting a favor.

Meimei tightened her palms, meeting his eyes, feeling the urge to grab the file and run away instinctively.

"What’s wrong? Is there a problem with the file, why are you standing there dazed?" Dan Tingye glanced at her and, seeing her motionless, his voice suddenly turned cold.

"I’ll revise it, right away."

She couldn’t possibly admit that this file wasn’t meant for the CEO’s office; she didn’t want Secretary Lin or the colleagues in the planning department to be implicated.

Meimei walked forward, standing beside him, noticing there was only one chair at his desk, she froze again.

Just one chair, where was she supposed to sit?

Was he expecting her to stand while revising? Surely he kept her here just to torment her.

"Sit here."

Before she could finish her silent grumble, Dan Tingye stood up from the chair and pushed it beside her, along with his laptop.

"Since I took your seat, where will you sit?" Meimei blinked her pretty eyes, having a flash of insight, "I’ll go outside and bring a chair in, so no one has to stand!"

She was simply brilliantly clever!

"Who said I’d sit here." Dan Tingye glanced at her with his dark eyes, turned around, and walked towards Zhong Qing, who was sitting on the sofa, then sat beside her.

He didn’t glance at her again but picked up the coffee on the table and started chatting with Zhong Qing.

Meimei was stunned for several seconds, staring at them, forgetting what she was supposed to do.

When she realized Dan Tingye was turning back to look at her, she snapped out of it, dropped into the chair, hastily grabbed the mouse, and started clicking around on his computer, pretending to be very busy and engrossed in her work.

But after clicking for ages, she hadn’t even opened her email, constantly glancing at the two who were chatting and drinking coffee nearby.

The CEO’s office was too spacious, and they weren’t speaking loudly, so she couldn’t hear a thing, only saw Zhong Qing constantly smiling, her smile deeply stinging her eyes.

Damn Dan Tingye! Who said he never gets close to girls? Sitting together like this, chatting, drinking coffee, making Zhong Qing laugh, and still claimed not close?

If she found out who spread that rumor, she’d certainly drag them over for a beating!

Her brain must’ve been addled, for skipping proper work, going through great lengths just to see if he was still mad at her, only to end up being the angry one now!

Frustrated, Meimei furiously clicked the mouse, then sent an email to Li, asking her to send the draft over, and started correcting typos using Dan Tingye’s computer.

The first page obviously had no typos at all, where did he see the two mistakes?

He must’ve been finding excuses to make things difficult for her, indirectly calling her work irresponsible, what a jerk!

"I thought you planned to work the entire time, making me watch on the side." Zhong Qing raised her coffee, gesturing to Dan Tingye, "I heard Mr. Tingye is a workaholic, doesn’t allow himself to slack during office hours, having you accompany me for coffee, really is my honor."

Her gaze at Dan Tingye was quite detached, yet admiration was unconcealed in her eyes.

Dan Tingye seemed to be drinking coffee with Zhong Qing, but in reality, his peripheral vision was constantly observing Meimei by the desk.
