Chapter 241: A Drink Before the Sect - Interrupted by Greed, Explosions, and Free Loot
Three days later,
"Not bad... this will do," Gu Fan looked around and nodded with satisfaction.
Leaving the the suffocating green miasma behind the borders of the Poison Valley Town, they had finally walked behind the walls of the first town on their way.
Armed mercenaries argued over contracts. Alchemists shouted about low-grade Qi-gathering pills. Spiritual-beast carriages rumbled through the crowded streets.
Gu Fan walked at the front, completely unbothered by the lustfilled stairs eyeing the curves of Bai Bing who walked gracefully behind Gu Fan with her face covered with a thin blue veil, shaking those plump hips with every step she took.
Some even eyed Song Yan whose face was also covered with a white veil, but experienced cultivators could tell she was packing something behind those robes.
So... How can this hapen that if two women were walking down the road with dozens of men on either side of the street, and not even one of them would try to impress them?
So a couple of cultivators who could not keep their little brother in their pants tried to probe his cultivation, but Bai Bing wouldn’t let any Tom, Dick and Harry come and interrupt her man’s mood.
A bone-crushing wave of Origin Realm pressure slammed onto them like a physical wall, sending them crashing five feet into the ground.
Everyone looked away instantly. The smarter ones simply turned and walked in the opposite direction.
He stretched his shoulders and made the decision on the spot.
"We are staying the night."
Song Tianyu looked confused, "Are you sure you want to stay here in this town, Big Brother? I thought you were in a hurry."
Gu Fan glanced over his shoulder, "I have too much wealth to not waste it. Tonight we eat like emperors. Tomorrow we go back to murdering people."
"It is all about balance."
Bai Bing said nothing, but a spark of approval lit her blue eyes at the thought of a real hot bath and silk sheets instead of cold swamp rocks.
Song Yan let out a long, soul-deep sigh of relief. Following Gu Fan’s "treatment," she had indeed been feeling good. And her pale cheeks had been gaining slight shade of pink. But decades of weakness and exhaustion still ached her body.
Now that it was "unanimously" decided, he led them straight to the most expensive-looking establishment in town.
It was a massive restaurant carved directly into the side of the mountain.
The underground cavern was brilliantly lit by hundreds of glowing spirit stones embedded in the ceiling.
The rich scent of roasting spiritual beast meat and premium fermented wine hit them the moment they stepped inside.
Gu Fan tossed a heavy pouch of high-grade spirit stones at the nearest waiter hard enough to make the man stagger.
"Get me three private rooms, and then bring me the best beast meat you have and every jar of top-shelf spirit wine in the vault. Move."
Minutes later they were seated on thick silk cushions around a massive low wooden table. Nervous waiters frantically delivered sizzling platters of premium meat and heavy clay jars of the restaurant’s finest wine.
Gu Fan sat like an arrogant warlord, tearing into roasted spiritual beast meat with his bare hands, grease glistening on his fingers.
Bai Bing sat directly beside him, face expressionless and cold on the surface. Every time Gu Fan looked away to drink, her chopsticks darted out and stole the most tender pieces from his plate with surgical precision.
When he finally caught her mid-chew, she simply stared back at him with icy blue eyes and a shepish smile bloomed slowly on her face.
"Darling you are sneaky," Gu Fan smirked as his hand grabbed her bare thigh, and gently slid upward until his fingers brushed against her pussy over her underwear.
"Oh! Gu Fan!" Bai Bing’s gasped out, and a deep flush spread across her cheeks.
But instead of pulling away she leaned into the touch, spreading her legs slightly wider under the table to give him better access. Her breathing turned heavy.
Song Tianyu, completely oblivious to what was happening under the table, had already downed two full cups of strong spirit wine. His shoulders finally dropped.
"I have to say, Big Brother," He chuckled nervously, face slightly red, "If we keep taking ’breaks’ like these, it will take us an entire year to reach our destination..."
"Not to mention that your treatment sessions seem to be getting significantly longer every single time."
"Hahahaha!" Gu Fan burst into a loud, arrogant laugh.
He pulled his hand out from under Bai Bing’s dress, grabbed Song Yan by the waist, and yanked the beautiful widow straight onto his lap right in front of her nephew.
"The treatments take a long time because your dear aunt is draining me hard of my Yang Qi," He replied, snuggling into Song Yan’s nape.
"In fact," he leaned back, swirling his wine cup while keeping Song Yan pinned on his lap, "Now that I have a bed to rest upon. I might be visiting your aunt’s room for another round of treatment."
Song Yan’s entire face turned red. Her ears burned with shame, yet her cursed body was already addicted to his Heaven-Devouring Poison Body. She leaned her head against his broad chest in helpless resignation.
Bai Bing simply smirked, a dangerous flash of pure lust in her blue eyes as she licked her red lips, clearly eager for exactly what he had just promised.
Song Tianyu clicked his tongue, staring at the ceiling.
For a few precious minutes the atmosphere stayed relaxed, and Gu Fan genuinely enjoyed the normalcy of being a wealthy, lecherous young master for once.
He poured another cup of wine and grabbed Bai Bing’s thigh, again, slowly drawing circles on her sensitive skin when suddenly the underground cavern shook with a terrifying, earth-shattering explosion.
BOOM!
Shockwaves ripped through the solid stone walls. Several jars of premium spirit wine shattered across the table, spilling dark red liquid everywhere.
The glowing spirit stones in the ceiling flickered and sparked. Dust and loose rocks rained down.
Dozens of cultivators throughout the restaurant jumped to their feet in panic, drawing swords and sabers.
Song Yan grabbed Gu Fan’s shoulders to steady herself on his lap, eyes wide.
"You can still eat?" She asked looking at him still enjoying his meal.
Gu Fan casually chewed a massive piece of roasted beast meat, expression completely unbothered. He swallowed and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
Bai Bing’s blue eyes had already gone sharp. Her Spiritual Qi flaring up, forming a thick protective dome of ice around their table that blocked the falling debris.
Song Tianyu went pale, gripping his silver folding fan as combat instincts kicked in.
BOOM!
A second explosion rocked the town, and the massive stone pillars in the cavern cracked. The entire establishment devolved into absolute chaos as weaker cultivators shoved each other toward the exit tunnels.
"Master Gu!"
The fat, heavily sweating restaurant waiter came frantically running onto their elevated platform. He bowed so low his forehead nearly touched the floor.
"What the hell is going on out there, fatty?" Gu Fan demanded coldly, finally setting his wine cup down while keeping one hand resting heavily on Song Yan’s thigh.
"An ancient dungeon!" the waiter stammered, wiping sweat from his forehead, "An ancient dungeon has just cracked open on the eastern side of the town!"
"Strange, incredibly dense black mist is pouring out of the ground. You should also leave for safety."
The moment the words left his mouth, the chaotic rumors exploded through the hall like wildfire.
"It’s an ancient inheritance!" One of the cried.
"No, it’s a demon-sealing ground! There must be an untouched treasure vault inside!" Another cried out loud.
Within seconds greedy merchants started raising prices on healing pills and protective talismans by ten times, actively exploiting the frantic cultivators who were desperately forming temporary exploration teams.
Gu Fan simply sat on his cushions, green eyes slowly narrowing as he listened. The lazy, lecherous young master vanished. In his place sat the cold, calculating predator.
Song Yan watched his face carefully and already sensed the shift.
Bai Bing remained silent, but her slender fingers tapped lightly on the wooden table, her version of extreme excitement. She was clearly eager to freeze some fools and test her newly stabilised powers.
Just then a panicked cultivator violently burst through the main doors, screaming at the top of his lungs.
And the entire cavern fell into a brief, stunned silence for one second... then erupted into even greater chaos as hundreds of cultivators turned theirgaze towards the panicked cultivator who was panting and gasping for every bit of air.
"Ancient... Dem...on... Du... Dungeon"
The cultivator finally yelled out through his panting breaths.
"It is an Ancient Demonic Dungeon!"
