Chapter 118: Unboxing Seraphina’s Deliciously Massive Assets?!
Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Unboxing Seraphina’s Deliciously Massive Assets?!
Breakfast had soon devolved into a study session as they all finished eating breakfast, well except Evelisse who somehow had room in her belly for more snacks that she was munching on.
"That was delicious little Sera." Carmilla said sitting on Lucien’s shoulder while savoring the taste of Seraphina’s cooking through Luciens mouth and through their shared sense of taste.
"I’m never doing that again." Lucien said, as he had to think of Carmilla every time he took a bite, which wasn’t something he wanted to do and she made it a whole lot worse with all of her teasing comments.
"Come now my dear sugar disciple, don’t be so dramatic." Carmilla laughed hearing him making Seraphina giggle.
Meanwhile Aurelia who had already finished her breakfast some time ago, had the Heaven Shattering Scripture open in front of her, already skimming ahead to the combat Chapters like patience was a resource she refused to budget for.
Seraphina was now tracing the Lilith Dreamheart Scripture’s cover with careful fingers, murmuring something about control under her breath as she opened the manual.
Evelisse had the Twilight Genesis Scripture held open in one hand, turning pages with the reverence most people reserved for holy relics, her eyes fully glazed over.
Which, in her case, might be literal, given the Holy affinity and all.
’Is she even reading that, isn’t she turning the pages to fast?’ Lucien thought as he saw her flip page after page in seconds all the while popping the magical berries Seraphina gave her into her mouth.
Lucien watched them for a moment as something warm settled in his chest.
Then a thought elbowed its way to the front of his mind rudely and uninvited.
’Wait a damn second.’
’I still haven’t touched half my System invesment rewards.’
Between the dungeon, the attack, meeting Carmilla, gaining two new bloodlines, and performing an all night dual cultivation experiment with his irresistible wives, a frankly embarrassing pile of investment rewards had been sitting untouched in his system inventory.
The biggest one being from Seraphina’s soul healing event and he hadn’t even checked what he got yet.
’That’s actually kind of bad. I should deal with that before I do anything else, then get to reseting my cultivation rank.’
He set his teacup down, the refreshing taste of the star citrus tea slowly fading away.
"I’m going to go cultivate for a while," he said informing the girl’s.
"I’ve got a few things to sort out first, including severing my own foundation."
"Already? You just finished breakfast." Evelisse glanced up at him.
"Cultivation doesn’t happen on its own."
"That’s unfortunate," Evelisse said.
"It would be a lot more convenient if it did."
"I’ll invent a technique specifically for you, passive cultivation through laziness or maybe even eating."
"Really?" Evelisse’s head snapped up as she looked expectantly at him.
"No, I don’t know if that’s even possible."
"I hate you." She said pouting as Seraphina giggled and Aurelia shook her head at her sister’s laziness.
Carmilla floated up from the table and settled on Seraphina’s head while stretching her tiny body like a cat that had just finished a very satisfying nap, emphasizing her tiny curves which somehow looked voluptuous even on her tiny clone body.
"Don’t worry, little sisters, big sis will help you get started on your new techniques while your husband can go play with his mystery toys."
"They’re not toys."
"Of course not." Carmilla’s smile turned positively serene.
"They’re very serious toys." She joked.
Lucien sighed, kissed Seraphina on the top of her head on his way past, and headed for the stairs as Evelisse’s muffled laughter chasing him the whole way up.
The master bedroom was blessedly quiet as Lucien settled cross legged in the middle of the enormous bed, which was all cleaned up from last nights intensity, thanks to the various self cleaning arrays embedded into it along with the arrays that let it survive their intense night battle.
He sighed as he pulled up the systems interface and headed to the investment section to check on his previous system messages and what he got for investing in his lovely second wife Seraphina.

[Max Multiplier: ×152.]
[Investment Multiplier: ×106.]
[Investment Reward Generated:]
’Nice, a high Multiplier now let’s see what I’ve been sitting on.’ He thought as the rewards unfolded.
[Reward 1: Mirror of Reversal (Mythical)]
[Reward 2: 12 Months Cultivation Progress]
[Reward 3: 8 Months Technique Comprehension]
[Reward 4: Charm Affinity SSS Rank]
[Reward 5: Alchemy Recipe Book (Legendary)]
Lucien stared at the list for a long moment.
"System," he muttered, to absolutely no one who would ever answer.
"Are you trying to spoil me?" He asked and predictably only got silence.
But he grinned anyway.
’Hahahaha, I’m rich, I’m rich as hell, a Mythical Rank artifact, twelve months of progression, eight months of technique comprehension, a SSS affinity and a Legendary alchemy book, this is an obscene haul for one investment.’ He thought as he burst out laughing.
"It’s just as good as Aurelia’s rewards." He said.
The progression and comprehension rewards were obviously the best right now and exactly what he needed to climb back up from F Rank fast but the Charm Affinity took a bit more thought.
’I’ve already got Sovereign Allure baked into my Crimson Sovereign bloodline, would one of the girls get more out of this than I would?’ He wondered.
He ran through them quickly. Seraphina already had charm adjacent abilities built straight into her Mythical bloodline and this wouldn’t make that much of a difference to her, plus she was already having a tough time with so many new affinities to work with so it was redundant giving her thus for now.
’Maybe in the future, but for now it seems she’s going the dream and nightmare way.’ He thought back to the cultivation technique Carmilla gave her.
Evelisse’s priorities right now was her new cultivation technique that used her three affinities, so she didn’t need another one and he already planned to give her the SSS Rank Sword Affinity he still had.
Aurelia wouldn’t even look at this and if he offered it, and knowing his warrior wifey she would likely say she had no interest in charming others when she could beat them to submission or to the afterlife.
’Guess it’s mine then.’ He thought as he claimed it straight from his system inventory.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations!]
[New Affinity Acquired: Charm (SSS Rank).]
He felt something settle inside him, particularly inside his soul through his improved senses and his soul sense skill, though not in full detail.
’That should pair nicely with Sovereign Allure, terrifyingly nicely, honestly.’ He thought.
Then he moved to the Mythical Rank Soul Mirror Artifact and opened it system description.
’It only works on Mortal Realm level attacks and below?’ He thought reading its description.
[Item: Mirror of Reversal]
[Rank: Mythical]
[Type: Soul Defense / Bound Artifact]
[Description: A pocket-sized, flawless obsidian hand mirror framed in cosmic silver alloy. It attunes to the user’s soul upon blood-binding, resting directly within the outer boundaries of the user’s soul. It can only deflect Mortal Realm or below soul attacks.]
[ Effects:
Spiritual Veil (Passive): Hides the user’s soul strength and grants Immunity to Fear, Charm, Minor Illusions and to soul attacks weaker than the bound user’s soul.
Reversal (Active): Absorbs single target soul attacks and reflects them back at the attacker with 1.5x the potency. Using this costs 20% of the user’s total Mental Energy and 30% of the user’s total Mana with a cooldown of 30 minutes.
Malice Feast (Active): Converts blocked attacks into charges and at 10 charges, releases a 50 meter psychic stun wave. ]
’This is amazing.’ He thought reading the description.
’It’s one of the best Mythical Rank artifacts I’ve seen, if I’ve ever seen one.’ He thought looking at its description.
’It should definitely go to one of the girl’s as I’m basically immortal, but to who?’ He wondered as it would provide more to one of them than to him.
’Also what does Mortal realm even mean, I really should ask Carmilla about the realms and ranks of Cultivation.’ He decided to ask her once again, as the last time he asked her she had said that it wasn’t a concern for him now and knowing it wouldn’t do him any good.
’But she did say once I reach SSS Rank she would tell me.’ He thought and moved on to the next reward, leaving this for later.
Next came the alchemy recipe book.
The book of alchemical knowledge lay in his system inventory, and he had absolutely no intention of hoarding it.
’This is perfect for Sera, it’s not like I’m an alchemist or want to try being one for now.’ He thought as he imagined Seraphina causing more explosions in her makeshift lab while trying out these recipes.
"Hopefully that isn’t the case.’ He shook his head as a smile formed on his face.
’But only once she’s settled into her new cultivation technique will I give this to her.’ He decided as he didn’t want her running of to her lab, at least not before learning her technique.
’She will be one heck of an alchemist with both a Mythical Appraisal Skill and Legendary Rank recipes to guide her, wonder what potions or pills are in here.’ He thought looking at the book in the inventory, but put it aside for now as he had more important things to do.
’She’s going to be terrifying in once she masters these, I’m almost sorry for whatever market she corners first.’ He thought imagining a CEO Seraphina controlling the pill and potion markets of Bloodthorn city from her makeshift lab while performing crazy experiments as he burst out laughing.
’Three rewards checked now only the progression and comprehension are still waiting.’ He breathed out.
’But first, it’s time for my own foundation severance.’ He thought smiling as he rubbed his hands together in excitement.
