Amon and Seraphina sat quietly in the back of Marielle’s car as she drove through the upper districts of Meeren.

The city gradually became queiter as they approached the central area.

Students and young nobles appeared more frequently along the roads or in thier cars.

After another few minutes, Marielle slowed the car. A massive structure appeared ahead of them.

It was the main gate of the Royal University.

The entrance was built from enormous white stone pillars connected by a wide arched structure, with intricate carvings covering almost every surface.

The crest of the Royal University was engraved above the entrance, surrounded by several large mana crystals that gave off a faint blue glow.

Amon stared at it through the window. ’...This gate alone might be worth more than my entire net worth.’

The sheer scale of the construction made the entrance look more like the gate of a royal palace than a university.

Marielle drove through the entrance without slowing down.

The moment they entered the campus, Amon’s attention was drawn toward the enormous grounds.

The Royal University was unlike any ordinary place.

Several massive academic buildings stood across the campus, connected by wide stone paths and bridges.

Tall trees grew between them, while mana lamps and crystal formations were positioned throughout the grounds.

There were training fields, libraries, lecture halls, research facilities, gardens, and even several smaller towers scattered throughout the campus.

The central campus alone stretched for hundreds of meters and the entire university occupied an area that seemed to extend for nearly a kilometer.

Seraphina quietly looked through the window. "This place is really nice to look at."

Marielle laughed softly. "Yeah, but it’s so damn long."

Amon chuckled. "Well they needed all that space to flaunt their money."

"I know, right." She replied with a smile.

Marielle eventually turned toward a large parking area and parked the car.

The three stepped outside. Amon looked around once more before following the two women toward one of the nearby buildings.

They entered a large elevator.

Marielle pressed a button, and the doors closed. The elevator slowly began moving upward.

When the doors opened again, Amon immediately noticed a drastic change.

Marielle’s relaxed expression disappeared and her face became cold and emotionless.

Her posture straightened, her steps became graceful, and even her gaze seemed sharper.

Amon raised an eyebrow. ’...She switched personalities.’

The students walking through the hallway immediately noticed her.

Several of them quickly stepped aside and others lowered their voices as she passed.

"Good morning, Professor Marielle."

Marielle simply nodded. "Morning."

Another student greeted her. She gave another brief nod without slowing down.

Amon quietly followed beside her.

He could see the nervousness in some of the students’ expressions. ’She’s really good at maintaining an image.’

He didn’t question it or try to embarrass her and he simply continued walking beside her.

Eventually, Marielle stopped in front of a particular office.

She opened the door and looked toward Amon and Seraphina.

"You need to look through all the available subjects before deciding what you want to take."

She pointed toward the room. "Take your time. Once you’re finished, you can travel around the university or even leave the campus if you want."

Marielle glanced at the clock. "I’ll meet you two here in about six hours."

Amon nodded. "Alright."

Seraphina nodded as well.

Marielle stepped aside. "Go ahead."

The two entered the counselor’s office. There were already three other students inside, all around their age.

Amon looked around before approaching the front counter.

He politely called toward the woman sitting behind it. "Excuse me."

The woman looked up. "Names?"

"Amon."

"Seraphina."

The woman typed something into the terminal before pulling out two forms.

She handed them over as her eyes returned to Amon.

"You’ve been requested to meet Professor Hartwell after you’re finished here."

Amon immediately remembered the elderly professor from his University Screening.

’Professor Hartwell.’ He nodded. "I’ll meet her once we’re done."

The woman nodded. "Alright."

She returned to her work without saying anything else.

Amon and Seraphina walked toward the available seats and sat down beside each other.

They began examining the list of available subjects.

There were dozens of choices.

Combat theory, magical engineering, advanced elemental studies, history, dungeon studies, mana formations, monster ecology, artifact analysis, foreign civilizations, spiritual studies, and several other specialized subjects were available.

Amon carefully went through each option.

Unlike some of the other students who seemed to be choosing based on reputation, he paid close attention to how each subject could benefit him in the future.

’History is obvious.’

Understanding the world’s past would help him understand its present and he needed to know more about the other races as well.

His attention eventually settled on one particular subject.

Spiritual Energy Theory.

Amon’s eyes narrowed slightly. ’This could be useful.’

His Spirit Lord Physique and Spirit Sovereign Scripture made spiritual knowledge increasingly important to him.

There was another subject that caught his attention as well.

Advanced Mana Control and Multi-Element Synchronization.

Amon smiled faintly. ’This one suits me perfectly.’

His ability to use multiple elemental affinities meant that learning how to synchronize them properly could improve his combat style considerably.

Seraphina was carefully examining her own list. After some time, she glanced toward him. "What have you chosen?"

Amon looked at her list. "I’ll probably take History, Spiritual Energy Theory and Soul Studies, and Advanced Mana Control and Multi-Element Synchronization."

Seraphina nodded thoughtfully. "I chose History too."

She looked through her remaining selections. "I’ll take Advanced Ice Magic and Magical Combat Theory."

Amon nodded. Their choices were different in several areas, but they still shared three subjects in total.

History was one of them.

The other two were subjects that overlapped with their respective magical and combat studies.

Amon smiled. "Looks like we’ll still have some classes together."

Seraphina smiled back. "I like that."

They continued reviewing their choices for another hour and a half before finally settling on their subjects.

Amon checked his form one final time. "I’m going with these."

Seraphina nodded. "Me too."

They smiled at each other before submitting their forms. Neither questioned the other’s choices.

Once everything had been processed, they left the counselor’s office together.

Seraphina stretched her arms slightly. "So, what should we do now?"

Amon thought for a moment.

Right now, he wanted to just buy a lot of good stuffs and gift it to Seraphina.

’Man, I am not using my cheat properly.’ he thought to himself. ’I should just spam gift her by now.’

"We should go outside." He glanced toward the hallway. "But I need to meet Professor Hartwell first."

Seraphina hummed softly. "Alright."

The two began walking through the hallway.

However, Seraphina’s attention suddenly shifted toward the large windows overlooking the central field.

She slowed down. "Amon."

"Hm?"

She pointed toward the open grounds. "What’s happening over there?"

Amon followed her gaze as his eyes blinked twice.

The central field was surrounded by several students. At the center of the gathering stood two young men.

One of them was standing upright and the other was kneeling directly in front of him.

Amon stared at the scene for several seconds.

The surrounding students weren’t laughing but they were simply watching.

Some looked uncomfortable and others seemed entertained.

Amon’s expression became blank. ’What in the novelty fuck is going on here?’
