What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?

Chapter 260: We’ll Have To Search For Survivors

By the time we returned to the camp, it seemed like the survey team had collected the data they needed to determine the Danger Class on the rift.

The final result seemed to be that the rift was at a Danger Class of level three, which made it a little dangerous for average Vanguards but it should still be doable even without a Mortal God involved.

I thought they would want us to get the antennas back but it seemed like they intended to just leave them there since they could still be used when we decide to clear this rift and a command post is set up.

Since we’ve already gotten what we came for, we left the rift and returned to our world.

We stepped through the portal and I was slightly surprised to see Olivia waiting for us outside, as though she already knew we would appear at that exact time.

Or she could have just been waiting here the entire time too I suppose.

Normally she would greet me with a bow but obviously she couldn’t do that here since I was acting as Qing instead of my Mortal God persona right now... And I believe she had already established the fact that she would only bow to the Mortal God and no one else at this point.

But I guess she still wouldn’t allow herself to show what she believed was a hint of disrespect since she still inclined her head slightly upon seeing me.

Not too deep that someone might consider it a bow and still high enough that others could possibly see it as her nodding at me.

"Qing, Daniel, Liliac. Were there any problems with this place?"

I shook my head, "No problems but... We think there might still be survivors in that rift."

Olivia raised an eyebrow at me and that was the cue for Dan to pull out his phone and show her the pictures and the recording of the message.

Her eyes narrowed when she heard the recorded message and the pictures that we ave taken of the place.

She seemed to be contemplating something for a moment before she nodded, "The situation here seems to be more complicated than we thought. We might have to return and consult our Lord before we decide on what to do here."

Well... She’s obviously saying that for the others around us to hear so they don’t get suspicious of me.

She then turned to one of the official looking guys and gestured at the portal, "Set up a perimeter and prepare a group to establish a base of operations inside the rift."

The guy nodded and quickly rushed off to relay her instructions.

As for the four of us, we acted like we were leaving but went on to find a secluded place where I could summon the teleportation door to teleport us back to the tower.

The door opened up to my penthouse floor and I stepped through, only to see someone laying on the couch like they owned the place.

My sister was laying on the couch on her back with her legs draped over the armrest while watching a video on her phone, acting like this was her house.

"Ah Hui..." I called out to her.

She didn’t even flinch and just lowered her phone to tilt her head up to look at me.

"Oh~ Welcome back Gor Gor~" She greeted me chirpily, like this was back at our own home instead of the tower.

She didn’t even seem surprised to see me appearing right there through the door at this point and was treating me teleporting here like I had just walked through the door normally.

Dan grinned at her, "Living the good life ah, Xiao Hui?"

She didn’t even answer him and just waved her hand at him in greeting before going back to watch her video.

I huffed at her, "Aren’t you supposed to be working right now?"

She waved her foot at me dismissively, "I am~"

She means that she sent some of her clones to do the work while leaving one of her bodies here to relax.

Honestly, it isn’t a problem but the way she was behaving here and treating the place like her own made me want to punish her a little.

So I went ahead to grab the foot she was waving at me, causing her to let out a gasp as she looked at me with wide eyes.

"Go... Gor Gor? Wait! Wait!!"

I didn’t wait.

I drove the joint of my middle finger into the bottom of her sole and started grinding against it.

She let out a scream as the sensation was both ticklish and painful at the same time, causing her to fall off the couch to start writhing on the ground.

I kept it up for a good few seconds before letting her go, leaving her to groan and twitch on the ground before I turned back to my Guardians.

"Now... Where were we?"

Olivia shifted her gaze from my sister to me and I noticed a flicker in her eyes which I suspect was amusement before she spoke up.

"My Lord... If there are survivors in that rift, we would probably need to arrange for a rescue just like last time with the Bunarfs."

I nodded, "I’m assuming we would be searching for them and bringing them back to our world?"

Surprisingly, Olivia shook her head, "We will have to first make contact with them and determine if they are safe to be brought back to our World."

Liliac turned to her, "Safe to... Be brought back?"

Olivia nodded, "We do not know their customs or their ideals. For all we know, they might even hate people like us so we have to make sure that they aren’t a threat to our World first before we consider if we can evacuate them to our World."

Not surprising I suppose... We did the same thing with the Bunarfs as well.

We weren’t going to just let some aliens from these worlds loose in our own world if they fully intend to ruin our world.

Dan turned to me, ignoring my sister who was still twitching and groaning on the ground, "How we find them though? We checked through that city liao but there isn’t something like an estate right?"

I tapped the side of my cheek, "The message only sounded clear after I set up the antenna... So I assume that the origin of the message is quite far and the radio only managed to pick it up after getting a signal boost from the antenna. The only problem is that we don’t know from which direction the broadcast is coming from."

Olivia crossed her arms, "But we have a name of the location don’t we? The Gorald Estate. From what I can see in the video you showed me, that rift seemed to be at a relatively similar technology level as us, right? What would someone usually do if they need to find a location in this World that they are not sure where the location is?"

"Check the map app on their phone lah," Dan answered immediately.

I rolled my eyes, "I’m pretty sure she’s asking in the event where the internet is not available, dude... In that case, we might have to look up maps that were printed on paper or something. But the fact that it’s called an ’estate’, I’m going to assume that there must be a big plot of land involved so maybe if I were to just fly up into the sky, I might be able to see something that might match the name?"

"There could be more than one of such places near that location, my Lord..." Olivia pointed out.

Liliac thought for a moment, "I passed by a few places that look like stores... Perhaps those could also have maps being sold in them?"

I hummed, "Hmm... In that case, I suppose we can go back to the rift where you guys can search the surrounding area for maps or just any information about the local area that might help us pinpoint that Gorald Estate place. Then I’ll fly up to the sky and see if I can spot any places of note that we could investigate if we’re not able to find anything."

Olivia nodded, "We shall go with that, my Lord. Shall we bring Maylene along as well?"

"Hmm... Why not? I think her enhanced speed will also help as well."

Right then, my sister immediately pushed herself off the ground to look at me with sparkly eyes, "Gor Gor!! Me--"

"Rejected. No. You are not coming with us."

"Whaaaaaaaaaat?! Whyyyyyyyyyy?!"

"You forgot you told mom that you are just doing admin jobs here? If I take you to a rift, she’s going to kill me."

"Aiyah! You don’t tell, I don’t tell, who will know?"

"She’ll find out somehow. So no."

"Waaahhhhh!! Gor Gor bully me!!! Not fair!!! Bully!!"

This sister... You want another knuckle to your foot again, is that it?
