Chapter 803 Where's The Quest?

Villain Ch 803. Where’s The Quest?

The group huddled together, their minds racing as they searched for a solution to defeat the foe before them.

“It seems long distance is also less effective,” Zoe muttered, her brow furrowing in frustration as she observed the ineffectiveness of their attacks.

Allen nodded in agreement, his gaze scanning their surroundings for any sign of weakness in the creature’s defenses. “Maybe an elemental attack could work,” he suggested, his eyes settling on Bella, who had been lurking behind the others, her expression a mixture of disgust and apprehension.

Bella blinked in surprise at the sudden attention, her heart racing as she realized all eyes were on her. “Me?” she stammered, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Shea nodded encouragingly, a casual grin playing on his lips. “Yeah, just freeze it,” he replied, his tone lighthearted despite the gravity of their situation.

Bella took a deep breath, summoning every ounce of confidence she could muster as she straightened her posture and adopted a haughty demeanor. “Well, it can’t be helped. Elemental magic happens to be my specialty,” she declared, her voice tinged with arrogance as she attempted to conceal the unease that gnawed at her.

Alice gestured towards the monster, urging Bella to unleash her elemental magic and turn the tide of the battle. With a determined nod, Bella approached the creature, her eyes fixed on its grotesque form as she fought to suppress the revulsion that threatened to overwhelm her.

Once Bella drew closer to the monster, she couldn’t shake the image of a giant cockroach crawling over her skin, sending shivers down her spine. But she pushed aside her fear and disgust, focusing instead on her task at hand.

Summoning the power of her elemental magic, Bella extended her hands towards the monster, channeling her energy into a powerful spell. “Freeze…” she chanted.

Bella’s icy spell engulfed the monstrous creature, a blast of freezing cold air radiated outwards, enveloping everything in its path. The undead and monsters, caught in the icy blast, were frozen in place, their movements halted as they turned into statues of ice.

The once chaotic scene of battle now resembled a frozen tableau, with the creatures and monsters locked in icy stasis. The air crackled with the chill of Bella’s magic, sending shivers down the spines of the onlookers as they watched in awe at the power of her elemental spell.

With a satisfied grin, Bella stepped back, her chest heaving with exertion as she surveyed the frozen battlefield before her.

“Oh, it worked!” exclaimed Bella, her face lighting up with excitement at the success of her spell.

Zoe nodded in agreement. “I see… so that’s the way to do it,” she remarked, her tentacles poised and ready for action.

With the monster immobilized by Bella’s magic, Zoe wasted no time in launching a swift and precise attack. Her tentacles slashed through the frozen air, striking the monster with deadly accuracy. Without any resistance from the immobilized creature, it quickly succumbed to Zoe’s onslaught.

The monster crumbled to the ground, defeated. Alice let out a delighted squeal. “Oh, the loot isn’t bad either!” she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Bella nodded in agreement, her cheeks flushed with excitement. “Definitely. And it’s all thanks to my quick thinking,” she said, patting her own chest proudly.

Larissa let out an exasperated sigh, her eyes rolling dramatically as she listened to Bella’s playful remark. “Here we go again,” she muttered under her breath, unable to hide her frustration.

“I can’t imagine how the players face this monster,” Larissa remarked, shaking her head in disbelief. The thought of confronting such a formidable foe seemed daunting even to her.

Zoe nodded in agreement. “They need at least a mage to hunt in this place,” she observed, her tone tinged with concern. The prospect of facing the monster without magical support sent a shiver down her spine.

Shea chimed in with his analysis. “Yeah, this will change the group’s conventional way of hunting. Ranged attackers first, then melee players,” he suggested, his mind already working out the logistics of their approach.

Vivian seemed undaunted by the task ahead. “Now that we know what we have to do, the rest should be easier,” she declared optimistically, a glimmer of excitement in her eyes.

Bella, however, couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease that lingered in the air. “Yeah… if we don’t find any other strange monsters,” she said, her voice tinged with apprehension. The thought of encountering more of the unknown sent a chill down her spine, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around herself, as if seeking comfort and protection.

They pressed forward into the depths of the catacombs. The eerie silence of the labyrinthine corridors was broken only by the faint echo of their footsteps, creating an ominous atmosphere that sent shivers down their spines. With each step, the tension in the air seemed to thicken, weighing heavily on their shoulders.

They moved with caution, their senses heightened. They scanned their surroundings for any signs of danger. They traversed the winding passageways, they encountered familiar monsters: werewolves, puppets, and the dreaded Grudge. It was good news for them since they knew how to handle those monsters.

Each encounter was met with swift and decisive action, their teamwork and coordination proving to be their greatest assets in the face of adversity. But as they made their way deeper into the catacombs, a sense of foreboding began to settle over them like a dark cloud. The quest they had been anticipating was nowhere to be found.

But strangely enough, even after they made it past the first floor and went to the second floor, they didn’t encounter any quests at all. Confusion gnawed at their resolve as they searched in vain for any trace of it. It was as if the catacombs themselves were playing tricks on them.
