A slight smile touched Wang Ya's lips. While the increase in its Spirit was modest, its leap from a single point was nothing short of a complete metamorphosis.

A Physique of 25 meant that Harak's Extraordinary Resistance was high enough to be completely immune to most Low-tier Witchcraft. It could even mitigate most of the damage from many Middle-tier Witchcraft.

This was far from Harak's limit. In fact, one could say that both of its stats could change at any moment.

The reason for this lay in its Extraordinary Traits.

After two long years of painstaking research, the potential of the Infinite Genome was so great that even Wang Ya himself felt a tinge of envy for the lucky little creature.

[Shadow Head: Traverse the shadows, allowing passage through any place where shadows exist. Completely conceals one's aura, making Harak undetectable to a Wizard's Spiritual Power perception while in the shadows. The potential hidden within its body has been fully transformed, perhaps allowing it to see into another world.]

Wang Ya knew that beyond the Wizard World, countless other worlds existed within the Endless Starry Sky. Wizards plundered these myriad realms to obtain more knowledge, resources, and profit.

Even the Wizard World itself contained various special planes and worlds.

When it came to worlds related to shadow, there was only one: the Shadow World. Information about it was extremely scarce, and very few Wizards knew of it, let alone explored it.

If Wang Ya hadn't gathered a vast amount of information from the second floor of the Dark Library, he might not have even been aware of the concept.

Harak's ability to travel to the Shadow World—the shadow plane—held a completely different significance. A single Little World in the Endless Starry Sky could bring immense resources to the Wizard who discovered and plundered it. The knowledge from different civilizations, in particular, could spark new ideas.

The Shadow World was connected to the Inner World, an exceptionally special place.

[Infectious Deep Touch: Black, fleshy tendrils on its body can pierce other creatures, initiating a bacteriophage-level infectious manipulation. It can also use infected hosts at any time to replenish its own Biological Energy.]

[Infinite Blood Core: All external appearances are superficial. The Blood Core is the absolute foundation of Harak, possessing infinite possibilities. Harak can simulate and transform into the corresponding physical form of any being devoured and absorbed via the Flesh Melting Furnace.]

This series of Extraordinary Traits made Wang Ya sigh in admiration. 'If Harak is given enough time and allowed to devour freely, it could probably unleash a disaster on par with an Evil God incident.'

'Of course, before such a disaster could occur, an Official Wizard would likely intervene personally, capturing Harak for dissection and research.'

The cultivation pod's door slowly opened. Black, vein-like tendrils extended from within, connecting with the various pheromones in the air. Through a shared consciousness via his will-imprint, Wang Ya observed and understood the minute fungi, bacteria, and microorganisms.

Harak flapped its wings, which were coated in a black, sludge-like liquid, and landed on Wang Ya's shoulder. It then nuzzled its head against his pale cheek.

It carefully angled the bony horn on its forehead so that it wouldn't touch Wang Ya's skin.

The black sludge on its wings was also quite peculiar. It looked as if it was about to drip, yet it always remained suspended between the feathers, deep and viscous.

Wang Ya could feel the power of shadow within it. This must be the source of the Shadow Head trait.

"Little one, let me see what you can do."

This was merely Harak's most basic power. Its truly terrifying aspect was its ability to devour and fuse.

「Biological Cultivation Room.」

When the Extraordinary Creatures in the various isolation zones noticed the mechanical gate opening, they all shot out from their nests and roared at the figure in the Wizard Robe who had just walked in.

Their powerful cries were a clear sign that they had been well-fed.

A smile touched Wang Ya's lips. He gave his shoulder a slight lift, and Harak took flight. The gate to one of the isolation zones opened, revealing a ferocious Saw-toothed Tiger inside. It lunged, attempting to bite the incoming Harak to death.

SPLAT!

A large amount of black sludge dripped from the black feathers, dousing the Saw-toothed Tiger's head. It rolled on the ground in a sorry state, trying to get the sludge off its head, but found that it couldn't shake it off no matter what it did.

Instead, the black sludge kept wriggling into its eyes and ears as if it were alive.

In the span of just two blinks, the Saw-toothed Tiger's originally yellow pupils turned black like Harak's—inky black, filled with a chilling numbness and cold.

"Kekeke!"

Harak circled above the isolation zone as the Saw-toothed Tiger charged out of its enclosure. It then rushed toward the other zones, beginning a brutal slaughter.
