The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 126 102: Harak's Infinite Evolution, Witchcraft Improvement, Flame Demon Doppelganger

This was the power of the [Flame Demon Roar], without a doubt one of the most terrifying spells in all of Middle-tier Witchcraft.

It was hard to imagine what a higher-level spell like the [Fury of Hephaestus] would be like.

"Test complete. Unnamed Fire Elemental Particle Energy Witchcraft. Power rating: 32. Casting time: 3 seconds."

Wang Ya couldn't hide the joy on his face. This level of power was already in the realm of High-tier Witchcraft.

However, it still had its weaknesses. After all, no spell in the world was truly invincible; there was always a way to counter it.

The issue was still the casting time. It took three seconds to gather enough Particle Energy to create a more powerful impact.

Furthermore, casting it meant losing his Energy Shield and other defenses, and even his movement would be somewhat restricted.

It was essentially a trade-off: sacrificing the Defense Power and Speed of [Fear of the Flame Demon] in exchange for maximum burst damage.

The goal of a spell modification plan was to address these weaknesses, thereby perfecting the Witchcraft.

Wang Ya now had the confidence to undertake such a research project.

Even without the aid of the Eye of Truth, he had already achieved complete mastery over the Advanced Extraordinary Discipline several days prior.

With his current level of knowledge, he could modify the Witchcraft on his own; it would just take longer and the cost of trial and error would be higher.

He took a notebook from his pocket. A feather pen slid from his cuff, and he began to write.

Goal: Spell Modification Plan

Estimated Time: Three Months

Plan Details: Refine all mastered Witchcraft. Reduce casting time, increase power rating, and enhance overall effects. Improve adaptability to any environment or terrain. Simultaneously, eliminate the original weaknesses and flaws of the spells.

Closing his notebook, Wang Ya walked straight toward the Ancient Castle. Next, he had to complete the troublesome experiment involving the Gendas Flesh.

Fortunately, after switching to the new Advanced Wizard Instruments, he had successfully found the right method.

On a microscopic level, he discovered that the cells of the Gendas Flesh were extremely unusual. To be more precise, they weren't individual cells, but a hybrid of virus and cell.

Inside a petri dish, a few blood-colored droplets rested. When Wang Ya placed a piece of fresh flesh inside, they seemed to sense something, springing to life and swarming over the tissue.

In the blink of an eye, the meat's volume shrank rapidly. In turn, the blood-colored droplets multiplied until they formed a thin layer in the petri dish.

Dressed in a white protective suit, Wang Ya's eyes glinted with anticipation. This was the base substance extracted from the Gendas Flesh.

It had lost the Ability to take a cohesive form. In other words, it had lost its connection to any spiritual influence and had reverted to an instinct for limitless proliferation.

Wang Ya had discovered a pattern. The formation of the Gendas flesh tissue was a measure guided by spiritual influence, not its true instinct.

'A virus doesn't think about taking form; it only absorbs nutrients and replicates itself endlessly. A cell is just a cell. His hypothetical Extraordinary cancer cells were, in a way, just another type of virus.'

The fully formed Gundas' Dog had already achieved a Balance between the illusory and the real, guided by the methods of the Evil God.

'The Balance Wang Ya pursued was merely a reenactment of a result produced under the influence of the Evil God Gendas.'

'Setting aside whether he could even do it, when the time came, would the resulting product still be his own creation?'

'Or would it fall under the influence and control of the Evil God Gendas, ultimately becoming a creation spiraling out of control?'

That wasn't an impossibility. Many uncontrollable things were created when Wizards with insufficient Power and knowledge recklessly forced a Wizard Experiment.

This ultimately led to dire consequences; some Wizards were even killed by their own creations.

Wang Ya was researching a product of an Evil God, which was far more dangerous. For safety's sake, he had kept the Evil God's Heart sealed away this entire time.

If the final product born of his research could not be controlled by him, and if it even caused his Spiritual Brand inside Harak to vanish, then he would rather such a creation never existed at all.

It would be a failure. If it appeared, Wang Ya would destroy it at the first opportunity.

The illusory and the real... the spiritual experiments on the illusory plane were a hidden, massive pitfall. Wang Ya had only come to fully understand this in the last month or two.

The experiments with flesh and blood on the physical plane, however, could be utilized. This was the correct path Wang Ya had found.

He would exclude all external spiritual influences and observe only the most fundamental proliferative cellular structure of the Gendas flesh buds, researching why they could achieve infinite proliferation and consumption.

Life existed on the macroscopic level, and it still existed on the microscopic level.

The essence of life is constant motion, a truth that held even at the molecular and atomic levels.

And after extensive research, Wang Ya actually found the reason.

In an adjacent petri dish was a thin layer of a faint grayish-black substance, something cultivated from cells extracted from Harak's own flesh.

The infinite proliferation and consumption of the Gendas cells stemmed from a special nucleic acid and a long genetic chain within them. Their form was extremely stable, yet full of activity.

Once it took up residence in a living organism, it would frantically absorb nutrients and begin to self-replicate. Every time the host was injured and healed, its original flesh was replaced by Gendas Flesh.

Even without injury, this process was constantly ongoing.

Wang Ya had a terrifying suspicion. He feared the host's final fate would be to become a Gundas' Dog in its entirety. Its spiritual self-awareness, and even its very soul, would be confined within the Gendas Flesh.
