Chapter 1945: Chapter 1890–1891: Fishing in Troubled Waters – Lingshan Project (Part 2)

“No need to worry. With the strength of the Heterodox Alliance and the three factions of the Smoke and Mist Sacred Land, they can’t swallow all the sixth-generation warships yet. We can accelerate production and it’s entirely possible to update them,” Pang Hong considered and shared his thoughts.

With the experience from the last transaction, now that the three factions of the Smoke and Mist Sacred Land have expressed their intention to purchase sixth-generation warships, Pang Hong and his group had no intention of refusing. They could simply replicate the previous procedure.

Bargaining was out of the question. The only consideration was that, since each of the three factions needed a sixth-generation warship, a discount could be offered if three ships were sold together, slightly reducing the price.

The entire process proceeded quickly, and even when it came to the specifics of the transaction and the materials used for value offset, the sixth-generation warships intended for the transaction had already set off, ready for handover.

This met the needs of both parties. Since the three factions had already decided to take action against the Buddhism School, it was only natural for them to urgently acquire these sixth-generation warships to strengthen themselves. Similarly, for the Shenxiao Sect, they were equally eager to sell the sixth-generation warships.

In this transaction, besides each of the three factions purchasing a completed sixth-generation warship, the Heterodox Alliance also contributed considerable resources to purchase a second sixth-generation warship.

Indeed, despite the Heterodox Alliance holding a significant advantage currently, their situation was becoming increasingly difficult. More and more strong players from the Buddhism School were being deployed, adopting a strategy of building strongholds and engaging in prolonged battles. They continuously reduced the operational area of the Heterodox Alliance fleet, leaving little room for their guerrilla tactics to be effective.

Just after handing over a sixth-generation warship to the Vajra Sect Leader, a Buddhist-led fleet encountered the Vajra Sect Leader head-on; there was no way to avoid it.

To be sure, relying on the newly acquired sixth-generation warship, they achieved victory, defeating this Buddhist force. However, the Heterodox Alliance did not escape unscathed, losing two fourth-generation warships and sustaining damage to a fifth-generation warship, making continued combat untenable.

While it may seem that Buddhism suffered a setback, for the Heterodox Alliance, they were not the victors either. After all, the opponent had more warships to replenish themselves; even with these successive consumptions and victories, they would eventually face an impasse.

Therefore, when Tie Qianshan saw that the Shenxiao Sect was still willing to sell sixth-generation warships, he gritted his teeth and paid a great price to purchase another sixth-generation warship, handing it to Zi Tianxiong.

He understood that given the continuous pursuit of Buddhism, their guerrilla tactics were becoming ineffective. Zi Tianxiong also needed to unite with the Vajra Sect Leader; otherwise, if caught alone, it would be easy to be wiped out.

So, the Heterodox Alliance needed a second, or even a third, sixth-generation warship. Only then could they wield true combat power and have a chance at victory in the future.

On this day, the Vajra Sect Leader received a sixth-generation warship, which he named: Vajra.

With the sixth-generation warship Vajra at its core, accompanied by many other fifth and fourth-generation warships, and having plundered numerous Buddhist resources to ascend to the True Immortal Sixth Layer Heaven, the Vajra Sect Leader’s power was now at a peak. Wherever he passed, the Buddhist worlds had no defense.

Moreover, with the Heterodox Alliance fighting and winning, many independent strong practitioners joined them, some seeking wealth, and others were indigenous warriors from worlds controlled by Buddhism.

Especially those indigenous warriors, whose control over their worlds had been seized by Buddhism, harbored deep hatred for Buddhism. Due to their lack of power to contend with Buddhism, they chose previously to endure and evade. Now that the Heterodox Alliance was taking action against Buddhism, they decisively stepped forward to cooperate with the alliance.

This issue of indigenous warrior unrest is not unique to the Buddhist-controlled worlds. All forces in the Divine Continent have faced similar situations, like the continuous unrest of indigenous warriors in the Dragon Saliva Realm, causing considerable trouble for the Purple Mansion Sect.

Every force has different methods of dealing with these indigenous warriors. Some prefer conciliatory approaches, choosing to compromise and coexist with the warriors, allowing mutual benefits and avoiding conflicts and wars.

Others act dominantly, giving no opportunities to those warriors to either submit or be suppressed, even annihilated, treating these interests as their exclusive preserve, fiercely suppressing any covetous intent.

This dominant conduct is led by the Buddhism School, though people might overlook the Purple Mansion Sect’s ruthless suppression of these warriors, their methods are far different from Buddhism’s. At least, if the indigenous warriors chose to leave, the Purple Mansion Sect would not overly pursue them, giving a glimmer of survival.

Buddhism’s approach is entirely different. Due to being increasingly ostracized within the Divine Continent by various covert alliances, their internal Divine Continent interests have been shrinking, inhibiting fast expansion. Unable to expand their influence scope, they’ve set their sights on the Realms of Heavenly Seas.

In any world opened up by Buddhism, apart from a certain share to the Heavenly Court, Buddhism holds everything firmly in its control, allowing no other forces to interfere.

According to some plans of Buddhist strong practitioners, since expansion isn’t feasible within the Divine Continent, they regard it as an ancestral seat, not seeking active expansion there, but rather, preparing, in the manner of the Heavenly Court, to create a Pure Land for Buddhism, to be known as: the Lingshan Buddhist Realm.

After opening worlds, Buddhist practitioners continually trade and transfer resources to secure total control over these worlds, eventually establishing a core world as the Lingshan Buddhist Realm’s nucleus. After managing the other worlds, they plan to integrate them into the Lingshan Buddhist Realm, creating an exclusive world for Buddhism.

This is Buddhism’s grandest plan, demanding countless resources and effort. In their eyes, it’s their foundation. As long as they thoroughly secure the Lingshan Buddhist Realm, even if they re-integrate with the Divine Continent, it would enable them to grasp its authority, competing with other forces.

Not just Buddhism, but also the Demonic Gate, Taoist School, and Confucianism have such plans, as do various top immortal sects, the Divine Dynasty, and large immortal sects.

With the development of the Heavenly Court’s Expansion Plan, everyone has realized the vast opportunities in the Chaos Void and the Realms of Heavenly Seas, not limiting themselves to the Divine Continent alone.

Or, even if the Divine Continent keeps integrating various worlds and advancing, with more beings and stronger practitioners emerging, the contenders for interests are increasing, requiring much greater power to gain more benefits.

Given this, why bother with such endeavors?

It might be better to maintain their current positions and interests using their power, and then attempt to make a fresh start. This way, even if they fail in the Divine Continent’s struggle for authority, they still have a fallback and a future chance to rise again.

Of course, such plans are enormously vast, requiring massive resources; finding just any world to implement them is no trivial matter. If it were that simple, such worlds wouldn’t be worth much.
