The Primordial Record

Chapter 2006 The Edges of Limbo

Chapter 2006  The Edges of Limbo

The Abomination fled from the Origin Realms after the Agreement had been completed. It knew that at the moment, it was the best target among everyone here.

Eos could not be attacked, not yet, until they had taken over all the Origin Realms and ensured that they could not be used to expand Limbo. They had accepted this compromise because it favored them more than it would have favored Eos.

The fool had the chance to end the war for a long time, but the price had been too much for him to pay, and he had left this weapon aside for another. The Abomination did not believe that Eos would be able to consume all of these Origin Essences in a short time, even the twelve billion years given was still too short.

From what he could see, Eos wanted to focus on his personal evolution and not the Primordial Record for his growth. If the Abomination had not fought this child, it would have believed that this path was foolish, but it had seen how quickly Eos adapted in battle and how, in the end, he had begun his evolution.

The Primordials and Death had not fought Eos; sure, they would have had observers around the battle, but they had not felt what it was like to fight a man whose limits the Abomination knew it had not seen.

Twelve billion years for a being like Eos was too long, even a million years was crossing the line, but the Abomination could only go along with this Agreement, because it knew that it needed more time than anyone here.

Rapid evolution came with a price, even if he had nearly inexhaustible energy stores from all the Realities it had eaten. Evolving so fast and focusing only on increasing its strength and corruption means its spirit was deteriorating, and in a few short years, it would lose its mind and become nothing but a mindless beast.

So it ran, knowing that if it didn’t, its cursed children would kill it. If Asteroath was not dead, then the Abomination knew that there was a possibility for its victory even if it had to fight against all the Primordials and the General of Death, but the possibility of victory ended when it saw that Nyxara had eaten the Essence of her brother.

Eos and Death did not know how dangerous Nyxara had just become, but the Abomination knew, and it frightened it enough to run and not think of hunting one or two Primordials to absorb their bodies.

The bodies of Realities were great vessels for its mind, but they were not perfect. For the Abomination to become something more than what it currently was… an Abomination, then it would need to either consume Eos or one of the Primordials, after all, they were created with the flesh and blood of Enoch.

The Ancient Primordials were created with the flesh and blood of a Luminious, but their Creator had made sure that his bloodline was shattered into pieces across the body of the Primordials, and there was no way they would be able to get to his true inheritance, however, Nyxara’s peculiar ability threatened that lock, and what was troubling was that as she had tasted the effects of consuming Asteroath, she might began to figure out the truth.

Everything was going wrong, but the Abomination welcomed this chaos because the uncertainty of an outcome was ultimately favorable towards its agenda.

It dashed through dimensions, although it knew its target, the Abomination continued to circle Limbo, keeping itself in the fringes and tuning its evolution for speed and stealth, and its action soon bore fruit when it was able to shake off the eyes that had been secretly following it.

These eyes he knew belonged to Death, the Beast of Final Rest, a creature that was an Enigma to the Abomination, because it knew that a power such as this Beast could not just come from nowhere, but it could not figure out how the Beast was able to grow so powerful and knowledgable, when its second, the Beast of Inevitability was just a slightly stronger animal.

The Abomination knew that the secrets of the Beast of Final Rest must be tied to the creation of Eos and the betrayal of the Primordial. A being like Eos should not exist in Existence, and a tool like the Singularity could not just emerge from thin air.

With the methods used in designing the Primordials, they should be nothing but mindless beasts; however, they had been able to survive and thrive. Enoch knew the greatest powers in Existence and none of them should have been able to change the Primordial’s situation, but something was working against Enoch, and the Abomination knew that it was not End.

Now, the Beast of Final Rest was displaying the same strangeness that created this situation with the Primordials, and the Abomination would be a fool if it did not consider that there was a hidden party, and it believed that it knew the answer to that question.

A Luminious or a part of their civilization still existed. The Abomination knew that Enoch did not truly confirm if all the Luminious had been destroyed, but that should be a mistake; someone must have survived, and they had hidden from Enoch’s sight, and had been slowly undermining everything that he was working towards.

This realization, more than anything, was what caused the Abomination not to challenge Eos and his Origin Realm and fled into Limbo. There was a hidden hand, and that hand needed to be brought into the light, and they could as well be its greatest enemy.

Centuries passed, and then millennials, but the Abomination never stopped moving. It followed behind the expansion of Limbo, hiding in the cracks in between dimensions, and during its journey, it began to see wonders that could only be seen unless you were at the edge of Limbo.

In this place, the power of End grew faint, and the purest form of chaos could be found. In this chaos was the pure source of creation, and life of all kinds could be found growing at the edges of Limbo.

The Abomination could spend an eternity devouring these newly born creatures for inspiration and growth, but it was here for something else. Its mind was fading away, but this body was too precious to be discarded, and he needed to be in the right place for its mind to take this body.

Enoch was coming, and the Abomination needed to be in the right place to receive him.
