Chapter 2005 You… Are A Fool [End of Vol]
When Rowan created the Origin Realms, he knew that Eos would never shatter them despite having the constitution to survive without depending on the powers of Will or the higher-dimensional power system.
The dimensions were separated from the power of End, but after Existence’s repeated destruction and rebirth, End had tied itself to every negative and destructive force within Existence.
With a firm foothold over destruction, death, and the essence of Evil itself, the power of End began to infect even mundane essences, such as space and time, ensuring that every part of Existence would become part of it. With this method, End would assimilate Origin and destroy it entirely.
This was the ultimate reason for the destruction of everything he knew and loved. End wanted to shatter Origin, and he was just the last bit of resistance standing in front of Origin, the last light that would ensure that life was not lost forever.
While the Primordials might believe that Eos was refusing to detonate the Origin Realms because he knew that such a dramatic expansion of Limbo would wipe out all life inside Existence, including the lives inside his Origin Realm, that was not the entire truth.
If Eos believed that by exploding these Origin Realms, he would allow him to defeat all his enemies here, including the Primordials, the Abomination, and Death, then no matter how painful the price, he would pay it.
Life was tenacious, and even if everyone perished, in time, new life would bloom from the ashes.
So, the only reason Eos did not detonate the Origin Realms was that he understood that the true enemy, End and its Avatar, Enoch, would remain. It was unknown if the life that would arise from the ashes of Existence would be able to handle these two monsters.
With the power of his consciousness and the Wills he controlled, he could see the future if he took this path, and it replayed in his head over and over again.
Eos was ready to die, but he could not leave the work unfinished. The Origin Realms may look like a shortcut to victory; in one move, he would shatter the foundations of Existence and kill the Ancient Primordials, Death, and the Abomination.
But everything he knew would be dead, and he would not be far from dying. His body was too massive, and he had gathered too much power. He might be able to survive if he quickly got rid of all his powers and then slowly recultivated them within an Existence where the higher dimensions had become broken.
He would have two great enemies, Enoch and End, and perhaps he might achieve victory in the end; the possibility was slight. End was a part of Existence, yet existed outside of it. If Eos were to shatter all the foundations of power inside Existence, it would take too long for him to rebuild it from scratch, and there would be too many loopholes that could be exploited to destroy him.
In the past, he would have taken this path, but as Rowan and his New Primordials had shown him, he no longer fought alone, and it was possible that victory would emerge from the people around him.
Eos was not alone.
“That is the Agreement. Do you agree with them?” The voice of Eos rippled across space and time, and everything went still as the entities here contemplated his words.
It was the General of Death who spoke before the others, “Although I do not agree with shattering the Origin Realms, do you believe we would stand by and watch you take the power from the Primordial Record for yourself?! While we fight through these measly Origin Realms?”
Eos gestured to the Origin Realms behind him, “I have unified all of these Realms, and now destroying a single one would shatter them all, but this also left a weakness. All these Realms now share a single time stream, and the time stream is also the same as that of Limbo.”
The General growled, “What does that have to do with this matter?”
Eos nodded at the Primordials, “They understand my point, I believe, but I can clarify further. How long do you believe it would take me to absorb the Origin Essence inside the Primordial Record?”
The General of Death turned to the Primordials for answers, and Nuxara frowned, and she slowly answered that question, “All of the Primordials combined would take at least a few Cosmic Eras to totally digest the powers inside the Primordial Record, but that is digestion and not collection. If we want to collect the powers inside, a few trillion years would do.”
She turned to Eos, “He is not just a Primordial being, but a Reality, and that gives him other advantages. If I am to overestimate his ability to collect the essence from the Primordial Record, then it would take at least twelve billion years for him to complete this process. Of course, he would need more time to absorb all these powers, but for him, it would be a mistake to give him that chance.”
“Twelve billion years is not a long time,” the General frowned.
Eos shrugged, “Do you believe that I want to hand you victory on a silver platter? Your armies and mine would be fighting across the Origin Realms, and if my armies can hold your forces for twelve billion years, then I win. You should also know that Nyxara lies… even if my abilities have been gravely overestimated, you more than most should understand how much power has been stolen from Reality, and know that at least a hundred billion years is the least I should need to just collect all the power inside the Primordial Record.”
“He speaks the truth,” the beastly voice of the Abomination suddenly spoke, “Eos, will you truly follow this path? Leave your fate and that of Existence to the lesser beings? Or is this a way for you to create another unexpected change?”
Eos laughed, “Of course, I shall be thinking of ways to win outside of them, but this is my plan. The so-called lesser beings are the ones who shall decide the fate of Existence. Across the battlefields in all of these Realms, you shall find my Incarnations, so do not think the fight would be easy for any forces you bring…. So, are we in agreement?”
“You…” the Abomination spoke slowly, “Are a fool.”
Silence reigned for a while, and then these higher-dimensional entities turned their backs to each other and left.
Eos watched them leave, knowing that soon, the realms behind him would be the location of the most bitter battle ever known since the dawn of Existence itself.
He touched his heart, feeling the pulse of the Primordial Record. In the time of this war, Eos would be mastering his birthright, and if he did not do this quickly enough, then he would lose everything.
His enemies had left, but he knew that it wouldn’t be long before they returned with their armies. In that time, he needed to garrison his forces across all of these realms.
This would be a long and challenging process, but Eos smiled because he knew that he did not fight alone.
