Chapter 1626: The Ruthless Fairies

Chapter 1626: The Ruthless Fairies

Many knew of the fairies’ bloody wars; their infamous ruthlessness was known far and wide, but it had reached its peak in this war. Everything had worked so perfectly and gave them the biggest excuse to go on a power-trip and unleash their violent nature upon the abominable clones.

Fifty clones, all having the same face that Plum had seen at the start. The face of a humble, hardworking farm girl. Some of them wore wizard robes, some had armor, and others wore common clothes.

The clones stood around in a circle and bolstered their defenses. They had been separated from the main body of their army and were now astray, drowning in the storm of fairies attacking them.

Buzzing, ear-piecing buzzing, like a cloud of raging wasps. Looking up, the clones couldn’t even see the sky, only the dark shadow cast by millions of fairies flying all around them with malice in their eyes.

The fairies weren’t attacking yet. They simply forced those fifty clones to separate from the others and were guiding them away, slowly nudging them further and further.

When the clones tried to move back toward the main body of their army, the fairies would then attack and force them to retreat. After minutes of nothing but darkness and buzzing, the fairies finally got those clones far away so that they can work in peace.

One of the clones screamed, dragged by the hair into the sky. The others tried to save her, but all they could do was watch as over forty fairies latched onto her body and whisked her away.

The clone screamed, feeling the fairies’ sharp gauntlet claws digging into her flesh as the other clones disappeared from her vision, masked by a swarm of fairies.

A wind fairy landed on the woman’s forehead, anchoring herself with sharp spikes. “Hmm, she is a witch. Rip her hair and nails out, also inject her with the Queen’s ichor so she can’t use her blood.”

At that command, many fairies surrounded the witch, and the first thing they did was strip her down, ripping all of her clothes to shreds. They needed to make sure she wasn’t carrying any weapons first. They even forced her mouth open and checked her teeth for poison.

Then came the painful part. First, twenty fairies surrounded the screaming witch, and each fairy grabbed a finger, ripping the nails off all at once. At the same time, other fairies were busy pulling her hair off her scalp in a bloody mess, while others stabbed her in the chest with a wooden needle to inject the ichor.

There was an order from the command. Killing the clones only allows stronger, more dangerous clones to emerge. So the strategy was keeping the clones alive, capturing and making sure they can’t harm anyone or end themselves.

But doing that was easier said than done, especially when the spirits heard that their supply of mana was limited. It was literally impossible for them to capture and put all clones in cells, so they had to do the best next thing. Maim them to near death.

As the clone screamed and cried in pain, the fairies laughed around her as they brought their saws. A plant fairy wrapped vines around the clone’s arms as a tourniquet, and the stone fairies slowly sawed her limbs off.

The poor clone wasn’t even allowed to scream, because the fairies were pressed for time as well. They had to do this to all other clones as well. So while the clone was having her limbs sawed off, they started plucking her teeth and eyes out, and they cut her tongue while they were at it.

“Do you feel it? The pain.” The wind fairy leaned to the clone’s ear and giggled. “I know you can feel it, abomination controlling them all. We were thinking what the best way to break your mind, and this fun idea just came to mind.”

She grabbed the clone’s earlobe and tore it off. “What if we captured and tortured hundreds of thousands of your clones? Would all that pain and mental trauma hit you? Would you break? Would your control wane, would it end this war faster?”

She tore the other ear off.

“We don’t know, but it’s sure fun for us. Look forward to it, we’ll make every one of your vessels a gate to hell.”

She flew up and looked at the other fairies. “Impale her on the thorn spikes like the others.”

As the fairies finished their work in the area and flew further, they left a massive forest of maimed clones impaled on thorny spikes, all alive, but just barely. A single pixie could keep tens of them alive in that sorry state for days, so it was far more mana efficient than preparing an enchanted cell for each clones.

The fairies command looked at the boiling war. It was a massive council of over a hundred spirits of each kind, and all of them watched from above with blushing, ecstatic faces.

War, violence, ruthless and one-sided terror. It was beautiful to see their enemies bleed and cry while their soldiers laugh and enjoy themselves.

They were preventing the clones from growing stronger, keeping mana consumption to a minimum, giving the abomination mental damage, and even creating such beautiful pieces of art.

“Ma’am! We’re dealing major damage to the enemy, and our losses are growing lower and lower. The plan is working! Fear is spreading among the clones, and they are hesitating to attack, which makes them easier targets to pick.” A fairy flew into the command room with a happy smile on her face.

“You’re doing a great job, everyone is doing a great job.” One of the commanders, a tall {One foot, one inch tall}, well-endowed fire spirit from Nar’s army, looked at the fairy, who was an earth fairy from Gaia’s army.

“But tell me, Liana. What do you think of this… I can’t call it a massacre since they are all still alive. So I’ll call it art. Was it fun?” She looked at her, and Liana smiled with a blush.

“We haven’t fought such a great war since the old ages against the orcs. It’s been a long while since I saw so much blood and heard so many screams in a single day.” She licked her lips, shivering. “I can’t wait to get back out and play some more.”

“Come on, little Liana, calm yourself down. What we’re doing is quite wrong, I heard the humans would be furious at it.” She approached her. “The great council wants to know the feeling of the common fairies, if this war is as fun to you as it is to us.”

Liana giggled.

“Humans? They aren’t nowhere in this world. And those are abominations, give them the chance and they would do the same to us. They’ll use everything to wipe us and usurp our universe. So we’ll gladly strike back with the same malice.”

“Come on, we fought humans and elves in the past. Do you think it’ll be fine to do the same to them? If a hypothetical war with them happens in the future?”

Liana’s smile finally faded away and was replaced by a deep frown. Everyone in the council shared her exact feelings. They knew what she was thinking about, and they forgot all of the joy they felt watching their army dominate the battle.

“They deserve much worse.” Liana growled, speaking for all those who were once pixies and grew stronger.

“As pixies, they hunt us down, tear our wings off, scrape our skin with cheese graters for dust, violate us, and sell us as mere toys and tools, to be tortured and experimented on by witches and wizards. I suffered at their hands, and so did many of my friends, family, comrades, even many of you here.”

She looked at the other fairies in the council and one of them shook her head. “I spent five years as a weirdo’s toy, so I agree with you. They take us lightly because we’re cute, because we’re short and small, because, as pixies, we can’t fight back. So we need to show them just how dangerous we could be.”

The fire spirit commander smiled.

“Then what about the Emperor and his empire?”

The thoughts and feelings about Arad were also unanimous among the fairies.

“He keeps the humans, elves, dwarves, witches, wizards, and all of them, even the demons and devils, in check, protecting us from their abuse. Queen Plum started this war for his sake, and I don’t mind suffering just as those clones if it means he can build us a world where we can live safely and away from the other races.”
