Chapter 1625: Blossoming Plum Tree

Chapter 1625: Blossoming Plum Tree

“No.” Zephyr glared at her with a stern face.

“Two things, we can’t guarantee the safety of the Nymphs, and friendly fire. Can you imagine what would happen if just one Nymph showed up at the battlefield? No one can turn in their direction without getting blinded.”

Nymphs couldn’t pick and choose. They have to either let their beauty loose, or hide it whole.

“She is right.” Plum nodded and imagined the chaos that could happen. “Did any of you see a Nymph?”

None of them had directly looked at a Nymph except Zephyr, who had her daughter, Yuwaku. It wasn’t like Nymphs are that common, and the Spirit Queens didn’t need such a risky hobby.

Many confuse Nymphs with Succubus, which was a huge mistake. Anyone can see a Succubus and enjoy her beauty in many ways. But with a Nymph, the victims would die and get blinded before even knowing what happened.

While many men and women wanted to see what cubus{Succubus/Incubus} looks like, no one in their sane or rotten mind wanted to see a Nymph, because they just die and never perceive the beauty.

“Well, I did look at one.” Plum pointed at her eyes. She was one of the rare few who saw a Nymph, got blinded for decades, and managed to recover after endless years of treatment.

“I was just a pixie at that time, and a pretty weak one at that. My whole job was picking nectar off some pretty daisies in my local forest. You can think of me as a glorified honey bee.”

Fairies did not harvest nectar because they ate it, but because they raise bees, just as humans raise cows. They milk them for honey to eat and wax to glue their homes together. Albeit that job was left for the weakest of them, the pixies.

A pixie can evolve into a fairy, which then evolves into a spirit, and lastly becomes a spirit queen. But they can get born directly into those ranks as well, Zephyr for example was born a spirit.

She looked at the window with a wistful smile. “I was so weak that one day some kids caught me, ripped my wings off, and I barely escaped with my life. To me at that time, a human kid was the same as what a giant would be to a human.”

Pixies were no different than a one-foot-tall human with wings that can barely fly for several meters before running out of breath.

Going into her story, Plum started explaining in detail what would happen to someone when they see a Nymph. She looked at the other Queens and started talking.

“Imagine this, you’re alone, walking at the forest’s edge gathering herbs or nectar as I was doing. The sun was warm, the flowers smelled nice, and the temperature was just right, not so cold, not so hot. It was a beautiful day.”

She frowned. Of course, something had to ruin that beautiful day, and it wasn’t the grueling work in the woods.

“The, you suddenly hear a rustle coming from the forest. You stop what you were doing and turn your head. BAM! It happens.” It is that that fast and sudden. Out of nowhere, it’ll all said and done.

She shivered, feeling the fine hair on her body standing.

“The moment you look, you only see darkness. Nothing, no light, no forest or trees, just pure darkness. You’re confused, you don’t even think of thinking or moving, you’re just dazed.” She looked down, and her legs were shaking even now.

“By that time, you’re already doomed. You just don’t know it yet. Your eyes are a bloody mess, your brain is overwhelmed and crashing out, and your entire body freezes in place as all of your nerves are stunned.”

She could feel something twist and turn inside her lower belly; her guts were already getting irritated by the memory, and her knees felt powerless.

“You stop breathing, your mouth remains open, and even if you don’t understand it, your body does. The first sign of what you saw is extreme sexual arousal from the beauty you saw. You start climaxing until blood seeps out. But don’t mistake it for pleasure or pain, your brain is too damaged to process those things. To you, it’s just been sweet darkness and silence.”

Even now, a stream of clear nectar were descending down her thighs. She might’ve recovered her vision, but some damage couldn’t be undone.

“Then, your brain recovers enough to function again. I say that sarcastically because it’s as functional as a drunkard at a math game. The first thing that hits you is the pain, and you lose consciousness immediately. But that agony is a good thing; it means you didn’t see enough to die.”

Her head started throbbing in pain, even after decades; that headache still stung like an itching scar.

“But now, another challenge awaits you. Your body and brain are broken, you can’t move or heal yourself, so your only hope is outside help.” She looked up. “In my case, the Nymph carried me to the edge of the fairy grove. It seems that I strayed off my path a bit and ended up in her land. From what she said, I should’ve only seen the back of her head. That alone was enough to do a weak fairy like me that much.”

She closed her eyes. “Now, when I try to remember what I saw, I get a painful headache, and I can only remember a dark image. No one can endure the beauty of a Nymph, so we can’t put our soldiers in such danger.”

She stared at Zephyr with a stern face.

“I believe losing all of your limbs in battle, barely surviving, and getting healed would result in less long-term damage than seeing a Nymph. Healing magic is that powerful, but sadly, it can’t erase the scar of a Nymph from someone’s head.”

Nar looked at her. “Well, no one endures the beauty of a Nymph beside that brat Agnar.” She turned toward Zephyr. “So, what kind of witchcraft, demonic sorcery do that brat have? He’s tanking that bullshit beauty?”

Zephyr shrugged in the back. “All thanks to what powers Maharaja gave him. Besides his transformation ability, he also has the eyes of a Rakshasa, powerful, yellow, cat-like eyes.”

“Aren’t the Rakshasa the hell’s devilish version of the beast people? Are you saying that all of them are immune to Nymphs?” Plum had heard of them before, but never saw one up close.

Zephyr shook her head.

“It’s only their Queen Maharaja that is immune, and she is the one Agnar has a warlock contract with. If it can’t blind Maharaja herself, it won’t hurt Agnar. The eyes also seem to allow him to see perfectly even in true darkness, have enhanced and extended vision, see the world in slow motion for a short while, be immune to visual illusions, and even be able to peer into the very near future using Maharaja’s prediction skills to anticipate his opponent’s moves.”

How did Agnar strike such a powerful and favorable deal? No one knows.

“It’s that powerful?” All of the Queens gasped at once, staring at Zephyr. None of them had heard of such a stacked power granted by a patron. Most of the time, the patron would be stingy as hell and only grant weak or barely useful powers.

“Not in the hands of a kid, he can barely keep up with those eyes. Or to be precise, with all that comes with them. They aren’t just eyes, but the nerves and the visual part of the brain. So it puts a heavy load on him.”

Zephyr sat back on her chair and sighed, waving her hand at one of Plum’s spirits. “Get me something to drink, not wine.” She could already sense the tricks Plum’s right-hand fairy was preparing.

“Agnar has several amazing powers, it’s as if Maharaja wants to give him more power but can’t due to his young, and weak human body.” She sighed.

“Anyway, we’re getting off topic. The clones, the best strategy we could take is a slow approach. Plum would slowly spread her trees like a forest of living wood, then our fairies would follow to kill the clones and protect the trees.” She looked at Plum with a smile.

“For Mana, sip through your roots at your own pace. Our speed would be dictated by the forest’s growth speed, so it’s in your hands.”

Plum smiled in the back. So her job was clear: create the biggest and most bloodthirsty forest she could. That way, she could spread and cover the whole world.

“Got it, time to blossom then.”

She sat on her throne, relaxed for a second, and took a deep breath. Unseen to everyone, roots grew out of the chair and pierced her tights, connecting to her bones as she became one with the massive world tree.

Plum’s already radiant green hair became even more vibrant, and then, pink roses blossomed through it. Everyone could feel it clearly now. They already knew Plum had became a Spirit Queen, but this was the first time they felt her true power surging forth.

That fairy sitting on the throne was undoubtedly a powerful Spirit Queen worthy of her title.

The titanic plum tree blossomed, its lowest branches resting above the pale white clouds. A thunderclap of lightning roared from the heavens, and the clouds were painted pink, washed as a storm of magic engulfed the entire world tree.

The Thundercloud Blossoming Plum World Tree was about to bear fruit and spread its seeds. All Spirit Queens were at the world power class, beings able to destroy a whole world if they wanted to. Plum wasn’t going to explain how her power worked, she was going to demonstrate it and wipe all of the abominable life from the planet’s surface.

The clones of the abomination stared at the sky with absolute horror in their eyes. This wasn’t a simple war anymore, their world was about to end, and they must fight for their survival.

The tree’s titanic trunk looked like a massive flat wall. It was several kilometers wide, casting a dominant shadow over the world like a pillar that extended to the heavens.

The tree’s lowest branches hung above the clouds, towering above the lands, the mountains, and even their fake sun.

It was as if the beautiful pink flowers were eyes glaring down at them with absolute disgust and arrogance.

But what scared them wasn’t the tree’s ridiculous size or empowering pink radiance. What made them absolutely terrified is the implication of this tree blossoming.

One thought surged through their horrid minds. Urgent, forceful, and absolute.

“Kill it before it multiplies.”

What was worse that a world ending tree? A forest of world ending trees!!

All of the nearby clones charged at Plum’s tree immediately, trying to burn it down before the flowers fall and fruit start showing up. The vigorous tree of life and radiance looked like a beacon of death and gloom to them; each pulse of light was a countdown to certain death.

The clones surged forth like a sea, one massive army of many women, all looking mundane but holding enough harrowing might in their bodies to fell titans.

The abomination was scared and desperate.

But their approach was soon forced to a halt. They weren’t only facing plant spirits, but a swarm of countless more flew down from the tree like angry bees. Wind fairies, fire fairies, water fairies, earth fairies, and even more plant fairies.

They ripped the clone women alive, burrowing into their bodies and pulling the organs out. As cute and beautiful as the fairies were, they reveled in the suffering and agony of their enemies.

The fact that stronger clones would show up if they killed the clones only gave the fairies an excuse to indulge in their sadistic impulses against the clones.

One of the clones was a powerful witch with a massive, mighty staff. She was as powerful as a level 600 wizard, and one fireball from her could burn an entire city to ash. She could call powerful storms, deadly plagues, and even curse the land to bring the dead back and march them to war. She was the one leading the charge, commanding an army of over twenty thousand powerful fighters and wizards.

She had one goal: To set the tree’s trunk ablaze. To achieve that goal, she took the lead and flew in like a bullet, dodging all of the defending fairies to reach Plum’s world tree.

She was as powerful as the fairies generals and commanders, but since she was only focusing on running and breaching their defenses, none could match her speed and catch her.

Then a spark flashed out of nowhere, catching onto the witch’s robe and setting it ablaze, forcing her to abruptly stop, take the robe off, and throw it away before she gets burned.

A burst of fire ignited in the air, and a giggle could be heard, mocking the witch’s half-naked appearance.

“Hoo, only got underwear beneath it. Sorry for exposing you here in front of everyone. Maybe you shouldn’t have put that pesky speed enchantment on your robe.”
