The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress

Chapter 1253 - 1193: Finding a Way Out

Kiya just needed a way out, but Paige didn’t care about her at all.

She kneeled on the ground, picking up those jewels, intending to give the jewels he had carefully chosen for her to Curly. What hurt him was not losing the jewels, but the thought that his carefully chosen gifts for her were discarded; she didn’t care.

"Paige, you’ll regret it. Once I leave, I won’t come back."

"Aren’t you annoyed? Just leave already!"

Kiya was hurt, standing at the doorway, torn between staying or leaving.

Since they got back together, Kiya had always been accommodating Paige, feeling as if he’d lowered himself to the dust. Never in his life had he been so humble, with his dignity trampled on.

In the end, Kiya left. He was the Sultan of Abyanabad; he too had his pride and dignity.

That woman didn’t truly love him. If she had even a little love for him, she wouldn’t have let him go.

Gavin saw Kiya storming out, startled, "Sultan, isn’t the queen leaving?"

"She’s not the queen. She doesn’t even want to be my queen!"

Gavin: ...

Kiya strode out with large steps, followed closely by Gavin and Gary, heading to the lakeside, picking up his fishing rod to continue fishing.

Last time, he could at least put on a show; this time, he couldn’t even manage that, and Kiya was very displeased, extremely displeased.

About half an hour passed before Kiya threw down the fishing rod and headed back.

The brothers Gary and Gavin exchanged looks, seeing helplessness in each other’s eyes.

Even their great Sultan was a man of passion.

...

When Kiya returned to the bedroom, Paige was already gone.

"Paige?" Kiya panicked.

The suitcase was gone, but the jewels on the dressing table were still there. Paige hadn’t taken them. He went to the wardrobe and found Paige’s usual clothes were missing.

"Someone, go find the queen!" Kiya ordered.

Gavin said, "Sultan, Uncle Jones said the queen left by car just now."

"She left?"

"Yes."

Kiya rushed out, running all the way to the manor gate, but there was no sign of Paige.

Kiya stood there, feeling abandoned. For her brother’s family, that woman disregarded her own condition, ignored his objections, and yet she went.

Gavin silently drove the car to the entrance and got out to tell Kiya, "Sultan, if we pursue her now, we can still catch up."

Kiya wanted to say indignantly: Don’t chase her; let her do whatever she wants, but he still couldn’t let go.

Gavin knew Kiya needed a way out at this moment, so he persuaded, "Sultan, the queen is very pregnant. It’s too dangerous for her to be on the road alone. We should hurry and catch up with her. If we leave now, we can still catch up."

"..."

"Sultan, aren’t you worried about the little princess?"

This time Paige was pregnant with a daughter, a daughter Kiya had longed for, as beautiful as Paige.

For the sake of his daughter, Kiya decided not to be petty with that woman.

Kiya sighed and said, "Gary, you stay and pack up Dylan’s things. Later, send Dylan to the Johnson Family, and Gavin and I will leave first."

"Yes, Sultan."

Kiya got into the car, heading to pursue Paige.

In the car, Kiya called Paige, but she didn’t answer. Eventually, she likely got annoyed and turned off her phone, which almost made Kiya smash his phone in anger.

"Drive faster!" Kiya urged.

"Yes."

Gavin drove at a high speed, thankfully there weren’t many vehicles on the road, otherwise, they wouldn’t have managed.

After about twenty minutes on the Provincial Highway, Gavin finally spotted the Volkswagen in which Paige was riding.

"Sultan, the queen is just ahead."

"Drive up to her."

Gavin pulled up alongside, and the two cars drove parallel. Kiya rolled down his window and saw Paige sitting in the back seat, not looking well.

"Stop the car!"

Paige rolled up her window without a word, and Kiya was so enraged it felt like his lungs would explode from anger at this woman.

In the end, it was Gavin’s superb driving skills that forced the car to stop without harming Paige.

Once the car stopped, Kiya got out and walked to the car Paige was in. Just as he was about to open the door, it swung open and Paige started vomiting.

"What’s wrong? Where do you feel unwell?" Kiya asked worriedly, gently patting Paige’s back as she finished vomiting.

"I told you not to hit the road, but you didn’t listen. Now look, you’re suffering, right?"

Gavin handed over a bottle of water, and Kiya helped Paige rinse her mouth.

"I’m a bit car sick..."

"In such a crappy car, of course, it makes you carsick!"

The ground was covered in Paige’s vomit. Kiya picked her out of it and put her in his spacious, luxurious car.

Kiya had her lie down and placed a sour plum in her mouth. Paige quietly closed her eyes.

"Sultan, are we heading back, or to the Johnson Family?"

Paige said, "To the Johnson Family."

Kiya sighed, "You’re not feeling well. Let’s rest a bit first..."

Paige suddenly sat up, stubbornly saying, "I want to go to the Johnson Family!"

Kiya took a deep breath, "I didn’t say you couldn’t go. Dylan is still back at the farm, and I’m not comfortable leaving him alone.

I just had Gary pack up Dylan’s stuff and send him to the Johnson Family. Let’s wait here for Dylan and go together."

Hearing this, Paige’s expression eased a bit.

Gavin got out of the car, leaving the space for them.

Kiya said, "I know you have grievances against me, but I have no choice. She’s my mother; no matter how bad she is, she’s still my mother... so..." Kiya didn’t know how to continue. He held her hand and softly said,

"I’m sorry, Paige. Please forgive me."

Paige was too tired to discuss past grievances with him; she was already infuriated by this man today.

Something so big had happened, she was worried sick, but this man was indifferent.

Kiya had never considered her family to be his family.

Paige closed her eyes for some rest, not responding to Kiya.

"Paige, are you still mad at me?"

"Could you be quiet for a while and let me rest properly?" Paige replied.

"Okay, you rest. I won’t say anything," Kiya fell silent, feeling tired.

Paige lay in the backseat and soon fell asleep. Kiya looked at her face, took off his coat, and covered her with it.

"I’m a man; sometimes you have to give me some face... I can’t always yield to you?" Kiya said to the sleeping Paige.

After a while, Kiya added, "Forget it, I’m much older than you. I won’t bicker with you, this woman who refuses to grow up."
