Chapter 215: Kyron, Abyssal Wraith Born
Chapter 215: Kyron, Abyssal Wraith Born
As the egg cracked, a surge of pure malevolence, resentment, despair, and all the essence of the Abyss erupted, spilling out in waves—thick, viscous shadows rolling over the frozen lake like a tidal wave of black ichor.
[Host, you must move swiftly or you will lose the opportunity to claim your disciple.]
Kaelthyr moved in an instant, though it wasn’t flying—it felt more like teleportation, fueled entirely by the negativity radiating from his disciple.
From the First Soul, he had gained so much that even he would need years to fully comprehend it.
Still, some abilities came naturally, like drawing power from the Abyss—or rather, from the resentment, despair, and countless other dark emotions.
The First Soul had been steeped in these feelings for countless Cycles, and by now, it might have been the most resentful of them all.
Yet the amulet turned these burdens into sources of strength instead of weighing him down.
Feeling a surge of resentment, he moved toward it without hesitation—one step, and he was gone.

At the very center of the Abyss, a young boy floated in a fetal position. When Kaelthyr appeared directly before him, he felt none of the emotions radiating from the boy. Instead, he absorbed them, steadily growing stronger.
’Aren’t I already at the peak? How could I possibly be getti—’ Kaelthyr began to wonder before abruptly cutting off his own thoughts. He then facepalmed…
Though he hadn’t been at peak for untold number of years like others… He knew that it was nothing beyond it… well he thought he did.
However, after rewatching his life from Earth, a life he’d buried a way.
“Don’t tell me I’m stuck in some damned lower realm,” he thought, shaking his head.
Then the system’s voice spoke again, and he followed its instructions to the letter.
It was simple enough—just press a finger against his forehead, and the system handled the rest.
It was, admittedly, a bit of forced discipleship, but Kyron was a special case. Without someone like Kaelthyr, he’d probably go to any lengths to destroy the Lower Dimension.
Now, however, Kaelthyr would be passively and constantly absorbing all those emotions.
It was impossible for Kaelthyr to absorb them all, as Kyron was like a generator for it. Still, it let him come somewhat close to resembling a normal person.
A soft golden light flared, and young Kyron stretched his arms wide.
His skin was like polished black marble, traced with growing crimson cracks. His eyes were twin voids with red embers smoldering within, and his hair was living shadows cascading downward.
As soon as he gained consciousness, Kaelthyr stood before him with a plain expression—no smile, no frown, as if it were any ordinary day. Yet inside, he was bursting with joy.
“Hell yeah!” he cheered inwardly as he admired his new rewards.
[Reward 1: The Whim of Absolute Chance (???) – A passive aura that bends probability to the users subconscious whims. Anything you casually think, ’would be nice’ has a 25% chance of happening instantly.
For instance, if the user thinks, “That enemy should trip,” they might trip—and die. Or if he thinks, “I want a snack,” an entire galaxy-sized feast could appear.
Reward 2: Void-Touched Tongue (???) – You can speak absences into being. Say ’no air’ and suffocate the range of your mana sense. The more you speak, the more you voice echoes from nowhere…]
—
His rewards this time were truly groundbreaking, but before he could speak, Kyron—who appeared to be no more than ten years old—spoke first.
“Father,” he said in a voice almost devoid of emotion.
Kaelthyr tilted his head at this, ready to correct him, but stopped himself.
’A day as a master, but a father for a lifetime…’ he recalled some cliché nonsense from his past life and smiled. Ever since those memories resurfaced, he’d felt in a much better place.
His power was steadily growing… two overpowered rewards… and now, a new golden finger.
“From today, you will be Kyron Nocturne, son and disciple of Kaelthyr Nocturne,” he declared with a smile. At those words, Kyron grinned, revealing perfect white teeth, and knelt.
CLAP!
CLAP!
From behind, lounging in a chair, Ash clapped while eating some fruit. In his lap sat Celeste, who had undergone her own transformation. Kaelthyr hadn’t changed much, already altered by the Heart…
Celeste, however, now had golden strands woven through her silver hair, cascading down her back. Her skin was even more flawless, and golden blindfolds covered her eyes. She wasn’t blind at all—her eyes were simply extraordinary.
“Get on with conquering this place, would ya?” Ash said, cutting off the little moment they were sharing.
It wasn’t that he was jealous, but he and Elysia had been casually chatting before she brought up that time worked a bit differently here.
And by “a bit,” he meant that while only about 13 hours had passed since they entered the Abyss, an entire year had gone by outside in the Lower Dimension.
Needless to say, Ash was in a bit of a hurry.
For one, he’d soon be leaving for the event with Elara and the Vossmeres.
And second, his companions should have already started their missions—something he was eager to check in on.
’Just how much do you think they’ve progressed?’ he asked inwardly.
[Hmm, well, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re hanging out in the Originat Haven,] Elysia replied.
Kaelthyr, meanwhile, just smiled at Ash’s nonsense. He turned to Kyron, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“Kyron, that brat over there… he’s like your eldest brother. If you ever need anything, just ask him,” Kaelthyr said with a smirk.
After that, it didn’t take long for Kaelthyr to claim the entire Abyss as his domain. As mentioned, with the death of the Two Abyssal Lords, the lower dimension would normally be thrown into chaos.
It was only about an hour of downtime without a ruler, and to anyone strong enough to see, nothing would seem particularly wrong with the Lower Dimension.
After becoming Ruler, Kaelthyr felt a small boost of power—just enough to confirm that greater strength was within reach, which delighted him.
When they were done, the group—Ash, Celeste, Kaelthyr, and Kyron—left the Abyss using the same key they had entered with, though it was no longer necessary since Kaelthyr could now come and go freely.
