Chapter 1343: Desert Dispute [Part 1]
While the two leaders were quarreling with each other, Thirteen and Tiona were paying close attention to the enemies surrounding them.
The main bulk of the Desert King Snake’s army was made up of Rank 3 Monsters. However, their ranks also had hundreds of Rank 4, a dozen Rank 6, and a handful of Rank 7 monsters.
It was a well-balanced army, and with a Rank 9 Sovereign leading them, they were strong enough to destroy several major human cities in Pangea and Solterra.
The Samara Desert was so vast, and yet the Jinns and their armies were so eager to defend it, as if it were a fertile land filled with treasures.
Thirteen had noticed this earlier and had long ordered his demons to conduct a wide area search under the ground to discover some of its secrets.
But aside from location places with underground rivers and lakes to replenish their water reserves, they had yet to find anything worth reporting to their Master.
“Jar Jar, do you really want to fight?!” Sharak hissed angrily. “Do you think I will not kill you?!”
“Kill me if you can!” Jar Jar roared back. “I’ll bring you down with me to the afterlife even if it’s the last thing I do!”
“Foolish lizard, you are courting death!”
“Foolish reptile, I will end your thirteen generations!”
Thirteen blinked because he felt that he was hit with friendly fire by the Red Salamander, who was truly not backing down in a battle where his loss was guaranteed.
Thinking that things were going to spiral out of control, Thirteen suddenly had an idea.
He sent Rocky a message, and the Hell Lord Bal-Boa moved to carry out the order of his Master.
Just as Sharak and Jar Jar were about to clash with each other, an arrogant roar spread in the desert.
Sharak and his subordinates glanced in the direction from which the roar had come.
It was then that they saw the Hell Lord Bal-Boa, towering in the distance.
Right beside its massive body was Giga, who was standing on its hind legs, wearing a straw hat and biting a leaf on its lips, as if it were some kind of martial artist who was traveling around the world.
By his side was the Rank 8 Terror Nighthound, Blacky.
Blacky was wearing its special robotic armor with a cannon mounted on its back.
He looked like one of those mechanical “Z*ids” that moved fast and hit hard, leaving their enemies in the dust.
Hercules was also wearing some sort of metallic armor, making it look like a massive tank beetle that had several cannons mounted on its back.
If Blacky was a mobile fighter, Hercules was a fortress that could withstand all sorts of punishment.
The Trolls were also there, holding bazookas and with AK-47s strapped on their backs.
As for the two Ogres, O1 and O2, they were holding massive Gatling Guns that were meant for attack helicopters.
Zed, Harahon, Khan, and Lord Zorca were also there, commanding their Monkey, Ape, and Goblin Armies, who were also carrying all sorts of firearms that were not supposed to work in Solterra.
The Wanderers had already tried bringing such weapons in the past, but they couldn’t cross them over to Solterra no matter what.
Some weapons had miraculously bypassed that restriction in the past, but every single one of them would turn into particles of light and disappear. Solterra implemented the firearm ban very seriously.
Roland, Derek, and the Wanderers all blinked in confusion after seeing the getup of Thirteen’s monster armies.
But Thirteen pressed a finger over his lips, telling the Wanderers not to say anything.
Jar Jar had also glanced in Thirteen’s direction because he had no idea what was happening.
He could recognize Rocky, but he had no idea where the rest came from.
“Who are you?” Sharak asked. “What are you doing in Lord Attacus’ territory?!”
Instead of giving a reply, Giga took out the leaf from its lips and tossed it into the wind.
Pica and Pico then circled above Thirteen’s Monster Army and shouted.
“Rock and load, boys!”
“Fire in the hole, Motherf*ckers!”
As soon as those orders were given, the Monster Armies that were all equipped with weapons of destruction unleashed a deadly barrage against the Jinns without even bothering to introduce themselves.
The Wanderers hurriedly backed away and retreated to a safe distance as they disbelievingly watched a scene they had never thought of seeing in Solterra.
Instead of regular bullets, the firearms were shooting energy shells at their enemies, riddling their bodies with holes.
Jar Jar hurriedly ordered his subordinates to retreat because they might be caught in the crossfire of the two armies.
Sharak’s subordinates were decreasing at a rapid rate, which made the Desert Snake King hiss in anger before it charged toward the monsters who were using weapons it had never seen in its life.
As a Rank 9 Sovereign, its body was incredibly tough, so it wasn’t significantly injured by the barrage raining upon it.
Rocky wouldn’t allow Sharak to get close to its friends, so it charged at the Desert King Snake, engaging it in close combat.
“Hey, what do you think you are doing?!” Jar Jar asked. “Are you trying to get us killed? That’s the subordinate of Attacus!”
“What are you talking about?” Thirteen asked back in an innocent tone. “I don’t know who those monsters are.”
“Huh?!” Jar Jar looked at Zion in disbelief.
However, it didn’t take long for him to realize what the teenage boy had intended to do.
Rocky and the other Monsters weren’t part of any faction in the Samara Desert.
They could just be labeled as monsters that came from the Outerlands and wished to migrate to greener pastures.
Jar Jar suddenly felt a shiver run down his spine as he shifted his attention back to Sharak’s army, which was being obliterated one-sidedly.
Since Rocky and the other Monsters weren’t related to them, letting them kill one of the armies that belonged to their rival factions was a good thing.
“Didn’t I tell you earlier?” Thirteen moved closer to speak to the Red Salamander in a volume that only they could hear. “I can help solve some of Paimon’s problems for her. This is just the start, Jar Jar. Now, tell me honestly what her situation is.
“Is she being bullied by those three Majin Princes? If yes, who is the strongest of them all? Give me all the details and make sure you don’t miss a single detail, okay?”
The Red Salamander was starting to understand why his Master had repeatedly told him to treat Zion as if he were her.
“Remember this, Zion and I are on the same side,” Paimon had said to Jar Jar before he left for his mission. “You can choose not to be his friend, but no matter what happens, you must never be his enemy. I want you to promise me, Jar Jar—whatever you do, never ever antagonize Zion, got it?”
As this memory resurfaced inside his head, Jar Jar decided to heed his Master’s order and told Zion about their current situation.
After hearing everything that Jar Jar had to say, the battle between Sharak and Rocky had also come to an end.
The majority of the subordinates of the Desert King Snake had escaped, leaving their comrades behind.
Thirteen didn’t order his Monster Army to pursue them because he needed these monsters to spread the word that a new faction had appeared in the desert.
As for Sharak? Thirteen ordered Rocky and Zed to beat the crap out of the Desert King Serpent, who tried to escape underground.
However, Rocky had already anticipated this and created a river of magma, trapping his foe.
Since he would be fighting against a Celestial Army, his current forces were not enough.
Fortunately, Sharak had served itself on a silver platter to Zion, which allowed the teenage boy to gain a new Rank 9 Sovereign as his slave—errr, comrade, who would soon enter an initiation rite that would make it loyal to Zion and Tiona for the rest of its life.
