“I heard you call me, Commander.” Nathan squinted his eyes. “Are we going to talk about the celebratory feast?”

After the introduction, Regina stood up. While fixing her hair, she introduced herself. “I am Regina Theressa Varona.

“I have heard about you, Mr. Nathan. After seeing this fortress besieged by so many elite class aliens, you gallantly helped the people and even killed two elite class aliens.

“Your achievement is extraordinary. I don’t think I can even do such a thing even with my current strength.” Regina smiled.

Nathan felt something was weird. She deliberately pushed her hair behind her ears and gave a seductive smile. It was as if every movement was to capture someone’s attention.

“Your words are wasted on me. I just did what people would do in my shoes,” Nathan humbly replied.

“The reward is unnecessary, Your Highness. Your thought alone is enough for me. I am not from the empire, so I don’t deserve a reward from the empire.” Nathan carefully rejected it.

“Anyone who has done something for the empire deserves a reward. Without you, this fortress might be destroyed, and countless people will die because of the alien invasion. Even if you are not from the empire, I definitely need to reward you.”

Nathan noticed something. The last reply from him was a probe. It looked like the commander was right. Regina was too used to the front line, but he lied about something. She didn’t act surprised to know he wasn’t from the empire because she already knew about it.

That was why Nathan realized something was going on. Regina might be sent by the empire. Unfortunately, he couldn’t discern her true intentions. There were some possibilities, so he needed to continuously probe her intentions.

He looked down as if he admitted defeat because of Regina’s insistence. “I guess rejecting any further will be impolite to Your Highness and the empire.”

“That’s good.” Regina smiled. “Do you have anything you want, Mr. Nathan?”

Nathan thought for a moment. He definitely didn’t need anything. In the past three months, Neyeid had been doing his best to spread the Beggar Sect.

In just three months, he managed to spread the network throughout the entire empire, and he planned to expand it to the dynasty soon.

The intelligence network might not have matured, but it should be enough to find things.

She came up with a different scheme after hearing his request.
