Chapter 1312: Rewind
Chapter 1312: Rewind
“Chronosphere.”
Suddenly, a burst of time element shook the room and expanded like a dome, engulfing everyone within the room.
“This is…” Evelyn gritted her teeth. She couldn’t move her body. Only when she released a massive amount of ena, she could finally move. Then, she amplified that power with her own domain, which allowed her to move even though it had been slowed down significantly.
She glanced at the others, noticing Xolotl giving an instruction to other beasts.
Anubis was getting covered in golden light, while Jinwu was enveloped by golden fire. Mae and Qilin were protected by a layer of rainbow-colored energy, and Xolotl maintained his form by using the black-colored flame that let out a small spark.
Jinwu and Anubis, who were supposed to unleash their domains, abruptly stopped after Xolotl asked them to stop.
Still, unlike Evelyn, they managed to withstand this power much better. Only Fenrir didn’t get covered by anything. In fact, it looked like he was completely unaffected.
“This is not the power that he should be able to unleash.” Fenrir squinted his eyes.
“Maybe.” Xolotl nodded in agreement. “This time domain is too powerful for someone who is just about to establish his domain. But at the same time, I can feel this domain linked to him directly. It might be his or it might be someone else’s.
“What I know is that if we suppress this domain right now, it will definitely harm him even with the little deer’s help.”
The others couldn’t help but agree. The manifestation of the domain must be linked to something.
“What is going on?” Evelyn asked.
Seeing her pitiful state, Qilin shared his power with her.
“!!!” Evelyn looked at her arms, noticing that her body didn’t get slowed down anymore.
These familiars were able to withstand the power better simply because they used divinity instead of normal power.
“Something is happening to him, but we can only wait and see.” Xolotl shook his head.
They were not the ones in a panic. Nathan was experiencing the same thing.
The last time he had this, he only heard the voices in his ears, but this time, he got a vision.
In that vision, he was standing next to a familiar figure. It was the same figure as the familiar he summoned in the previous vision, the God of Time, Chronos.
Nathan’s vision remained to the front because in front of him was a creature that was hard to describe.
It was a creature made of a combination of glowing orbs. Its body pierced through the sky. In some orbs, there were eyes looking in all directions.
On the ground, the orbs were scattered all around, some even stacked up and created tentacle-like shapes.
The mouth of the creature was located at the top.
While the creature’s appearance was ugly, Nathan couldn’t care less about it.
Nathan could faintly feel that the power in his body was even stronger than what he currently had.
’This is… the original Nathan at his peak? And the one in front of me is…’ Nathan gulped down.
The pressure from this creature was something he had never felt before.
Just staring at him felt like he was getting sliced into pieces. His entire existence felt like it was about to get ripped apart by space.
His body was trembling like crazy as he was gasping for air.
“What kind of being is this?” The Nathan in the vision asked. “Do I have to fight a being like this?”
“No, not only do you need to fight a being like this, you have to defeat it. And there is an even stronger being you have to defeat if you want to save everyone.”
Chronos stood in front of him, using his divinity to withstand the pressure. Unfortunately, even Chronos couldn’t be compared to him.
Still, that was because Chronos couldn’t utilize his full power. Most likely, a large portion of his power was still sealed.
“This is something I want to show you. This is the being that threatens your world. I have fought this being for so long.”
“What is this creature?”
“Yog-Sothoth. The being of space and time. You can say he is an omniscient creature that can know and sell everything within this space and time at once, which means there is no secret hidden from this creature.”
“Then, how are we able to fight it when we can’t even hide our moves?”
Chronos fell silent for a moment. “I can feel a portion of his consciousness. He still retains some of his consciousness. And that is what stopped him from letting the black cell kill us.
“Unfortunately, it looks like the last bit of energy has been weakened so much that it can’t resist anymore…
“Remember, this is a being that brings the aliens into this world, Yog-Sothoth.”
“!!!” Nathan was in utter shock. “Did you know this from the beginning?”
“I did. I knew it was impossible for us to defeat this guy so easily. That’s why I had been preparing for something like this from the beginning… From now on, you are going to shoulder a huge responsibility, my summoner. Because if you don’t, this world will perish.”
“But we are going to die here…”
“No.” Chronos took a few steps forward. “To think a being like you would fall for that parasite, it is saddening. I can feel you and your resistance, but this is not the time for me to perish yet.”
Chronos let go of his scythe and placed his hands forward. In the gap between his palms, an hourglass was condensed.
“Summoner. Let’s meet again.” Chronos smiled.
Nathan was confused for a moment, but noticing the power of the hourglass, he tried to stop him. “Wait. I need an expl—”
Before he could say his words, Chronos had activated the ability that consumed his life. “Rewind.”
“Wait!” Nathan shouted, but that was what Nathan in the present was also saying as the burst of time domain disappeared.
“Haa… Ha…” Nathan’s consciousness was hazy. His familiars rushed to him to check his condition.
He could hear Fenrir saying, “Oi! Don’t pass out.”
“There is nothing wrong. I can’t heal him.”
“What’s going on?”
The familiars were responding in their own way, but Nathan simply passed out, his body dropping to the floor with a thud.
