Chapter 1255: Real Target

Lambert rushed toward Nathan and brandished his sword, not allowing Nathan to have the time or space to use his power.

Nathan once again used the Spatial Collapse in front of him.

The two energies collided one more time, but this time, Lambert noticed something. It might be due to the lack of time, but Nathan’s power had decreased significantly from the first one he used.

It looked like Nathan needed to gather a huge amount of power to use that power. Without that time, Nathan couldn’t generate enough power to counter him.

The succubus and the ogre were rushing to Nathan’s side one more time. As long as the succubus could distract him a bit, the ogre and Lambert could definitely deal a killing blow to Nathan.

Lambert took a deep step and swung his body as well as his blade, sending the sword strike toward Nathan before the latter could hit his familiar.

Nathan smiled and disappeared one more time. Although he wanted to open a portal to the void so that he could make another portal to send this sword strike to someone else, his ability hadn’t reached this stage yet.

Nathan had switched from the space element core to the time element core. He activated the acceleration on himself, allowing him to see the world in slow motion.

Seeing the incoming arm, Nathan ducked before taking a step forward, closing their distance. Then, he punched the ogre right in the gut.

“Gah!” The ogre spat a mouthful of blood. This was not a normal punch.

Nathan accelerated his punch while activating the Dragon Fist. In addition, the residual space element activated the Spatial Collapse. But because he used the time element core this time, the Spatial Collapse didn’t occur.

Instead, the space energy only moved the void a little, boosting the power of the punch.

It might not be as powerful as his full force, but the power was enough to cause heavy internal damage in the ogre’s body, considering the organs getting distorted due to the movement in the void.

The ogre fell to the ground as the force in that fist produced a massive crack on the ground.

The succubus hurriedly activated her ability.

“Tsk.” Nathan closed one eye. He could see his view had changed, but in the end, the illusion was divided in two. The first one affected the world around the target. The second one affected the target’s brain.

Mae was able to use both of them at the same time, but the succubus could only produce the latter.

Due to the acceleration magic, his brain processed the illusion much faster. In other words, the succubus soon realized that her illusion ended so quickly and had to reapply her illusion.

It created a small gap for Nathan to escape.

While looking at the incoming Lambert with a smug smile, Nathan teleported up high.

“Kh.” Lambert was frustrated. That teleportation was definitely annoying. Of course, Nathan could teleport to his familiars to help them, but if he did so, Lambert could do the same thing, forcing Nathan to stop him.

This was the reason Evelyn couldn’t help her familiars during the fight.

Still, Lambert was a crystal armor stage summoner. On the Gratzel continent, he would have been an arcane level summoner.

At this level, he had developed his own specialty. And that specialty was his quick release.

The moment Nathan teleported up, Lambert turned around and sent forth a sword strike toward Nathan. It was so fast that it looked like it was produced instantly.

And the power remained consistent. Even Nathan couldn’t achieve this.

Nathan kicked the air casually, avoiding the slash. To prevent Nathan from messing around, Lambert unleashed sword strikes in rapid succession, keeping him busy. He was trying to give enough time for the succubus to distract him again. Besides, the ogre was still in agony.

Unfortunately for him, Nathan couldn’t be distracted easily.

Despite avoiding every slash, Nathan managed to form bullets. They didn’t require any elements or a lot of concentration since they weren’t explosive bullets.

Nathan fired those bullets toward the succubus.

“!!!” The succubus stopped using her illusion and used her ena to form a barrier instead.

Sadly, these bullets were like a cannon. A single bullet could produce a crater.

The barrier managed to stop one, but that resulted in a massive crack. Then, the second bullet hit, followed by the third bullet, shattering her barrier.

And there were still more bullets about to come.

“Hii…” The succubus turned pale as the bullets fell upon her.
